I can not recommend coming to this Midas. It's all new management and the service was beyond bad. The lady at front desk was terrible . She couldn't find my already inspected back brakes assessment. So I got an additional hour more before they would replace my brakes even with having an appointment. When the guy called me an hour later he added a bunch of services that were not mentioned in my October 26th 2024 assessment of my vehicle. They told me in October that I just needed my back brakes replaced nothing else. They had already replaced the front brakes October 2024. I came in to have the back brakes done and was presented with a list of fluid changes and filters. My red flags went up immediately. I had my husband call them because he is very familiar with auto mechanic work. He had them replace the brakes and that was it. We will be getting our vehicle checked out somewhere else. Our vehicle is fairly new and only has 88,000 miles on it and is only used locally. Oh and they never called me to let me know my vehicle was done. I asked for a call back never got one. It took 2 1/2 hrs with an appointment for the back brakes to be done! I used to trust this Midas and now I would not go back again. This is not the same shop from my first review. Yelp wil not let me remove the original review. It's a shame. read more

If you need a tire replacement don't come here its the worst it took 3 Hours and more to replace a single tire. They about the time to complete the work they have said it would take about 45 min to complete max a Hour and lied take your repairs to pep boys better or any other tire shop the mechanics are so lazy read more

Staff is super friendly, The waiting area is also clean and nicely kept. They offer free coffee and have vending machine available. The mechanics/ Technician are also polite. Gaby at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. I went in for a tune up but it turns out I needed a diagnostic test for biggee issues instead. She was able to dig deeper into the issues with my vehicle and get me the service I needed and saved me money. Even with the location being busy, she was able to service everyone fast. The mechanics in the back were working double time and getting people in and out quickly. The serviceman that worked on my car broke down the issues with my car in a way I understood and gave me good advice on what to get done. I will be a regular customer here. read more

We were on our way home from a vacation. 100 from Long Beach, our home when our van broke down. We looked up a AAA approved repair and Midas was the closest one to be towed. Bobby and Gabby were amazing. We thought we needed a new transmission but Bobby called the next week (we were towed in on a Saturday so couldn't get parts til Monday) and said they couldn't duplicate what was happening when we brought it in and the car was driving just fine. This place is honest! We could have been totally taken advantage of, being 100 miles from home but this team did right by us. We picked up the car a week later as we couldn't get there during the week. Highly recommend and thank you! She got stuck in phelan, middle of the day in this heat, had to go rescue her. Called to complain and they no sympathy! O took my car in last year they worked on my car it was great. then my car started acting up with the same problem and they fixed it after charging me $2300 then they couldn't turn off the check engine light. I took it back in four times in less than a month and it's still idling kind of rough and now they say they need $200 more to check what it is, I took it in with a check engine light on and I drove out with the check engine light on brought it back the next day I guess because I'm a girl I'm gonna be stupid about it so my review for this place is do your homework before you check it in because there's a lot of people in there complaining, and a friend of mine warned me not to go there. and I'm going to take it to another certified mechanic to see if they did anything to my car for $2300 read more

Just had oil changed. Great price. Forgot to make an appointment ahead, took it in around 10 am, they got the work done right away. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. This is about the 5th time I've had oil changed here, and won't go anywhere else now. About a year ago, the Dealership was saying it's time for scheduled maintenance that was hundreds of dollars. The manager at Midas said hmmm, most new cars don't need that much maintenance this early on. So I looked up scheduled maintenance on my car's make and model, and sure enough, the Midas manager was correct. They also offer free tire rotation with the oil change. Midas has wonderful customer service, they go above and beyond. I recently had a situation where someone punctured my gas tank near the midas shop. I walked over panicked telling them my gas was leaking all over the parking lot in the shopping center down the road. The owner came over picked up my car drove it back to the shop and placed a temporary plug, all at no cost. I am so appreciative of the kindness of Daniel. The Midas staff at Victorville were just great! My engine broke down while I was traveling about 80 miles outside of the city. I contacted Chris at Midas and he gave me permission to park my car in their lot after hours late in the evening after being towed there. The next day I worked with Chris and the staff. I needed a new engine, but I do not even live in California and had to return home. Chris was very understanding with my predicament, and the staff kept my car safe for over a month while I arranged payment for a new engine. Midas found (from out of state) and installed a new engine. They then gave me extra time to arrange travel back to Victorville to pick up my car. They never required any payment until I arrived there to get my car. The qoated price to install the engine was reasonable, fair, and honered when I arrived. I can't say enough good things about Chris and the Midas staff. I've drove the car back to my home state without any issues. I have had the car back from Midas for about a month and it has been running smooth and great. Thank you Chris and Midas for the fantastic service! read more

I took my truck for diagnostic test, they charged $400 to fix. They said they replaced 1 spark plug. The very next day, my car broke down again and now they are charging an additional $800 to replace all the spark plugs. What EXACTLY was the purpose of diagnostic test??? Made an appointment for inspection for Lyft at 1pm on a Friday. When I got there they explained that it cost $95 which I didn't mind paying. It took them over an hour to do the inspection and my car failed because they Saif I needed my brakes filed down . First of all I have a friend that took her car to Jiffy lube that only charges $29 and doesn't put your car up to take a look at your brake pads , they have you put your feet on the break and walk around your car to do the inspection. My breaks did not make any noise and stops fine with no problem so I don't understand why they did this intense inspection that took over an hours and charges $95 . This was a waste of money and time when I could have took it somewhere else. Only had I known before I talked to my friend. I was very upset and it's a rip off to charge someone that much . I wouldn't recommend this shop for any work. Oh and the estimate I got to do my breaks there was $850 or more smh . read more

I took my dads Hyundai Accent because it was turning off while driving down the road. People said it was probably the catalytic converter. I told them that , so they called me the next day and said they ordered the part. I asked what the diagnosis was and they said the catalytic converter. It wasn't. It has the same problem that same day. I told them that and they said I told them not to diagnos it and just change the converter. Idiots!!!! It turned out to be the crankshaft sensor. If they would've did their job by running a diagnostic test instead of listening to someone who didn't know anything about cars, they would've figured it out. Midas shop is not accredited with BBB. Had break's done on a 150 Ford Truck. Truck does not stop! When you hit the breaks it coasts for several feet to a slow stop. Took the truck back to Midas to have issue addressed and breaks adjusted. Midas claimed that they found no problems with the trucks breaks. Took a Lexus in for an oil change and tire rotation. After service the car shack's uncontrollably at 80 mph on freeway. After Midas did an inspection into shacking. Midas claimed there was no shacking and there was no danger. Branch manager is unreasonable and does not listen to his customers. Do not waist your time or your money at this Midas shop. They will do a job and if there are any issues after they've worked on your vehicle. They wont make it right. read more

I read someone else's review and it was a very similar experience where another person coming in for the same service after me left before me. Regardless of what the reason could've been, communication is always key. It would've taken a few seconds for the person behind the counter to acknowledge that my car would be out shortly. My husband has been going to Midas for 20+ years. My daughter was given a car for her graduation and we wanted to make sure everything was safe and in good working order. We have always had excellent service and this time was as good as always. We spent quite a bit of money to make sure it was in good working condition. The car runs great. The only problem is now the check engine light is on. They want to charge me for a diagnostic check. I will still give them five stars for our service. But I do not think it is fair to charge us after we have spent so much money in the first place. So when I do take it back, I will review again. read more
