I brought my car in just to get a quote. The car had recently been at a dealership and they gave me…read morea printout of the repairs that were recommended, mainly rear brakes and a front control arm. I explained this when I arrived and asked if they could give me an estimate. They looked at the car for maybe five minutes and then quoted me $1,600 for the job. They also asked for an $800 deposit upfront. I thought that was a pretty large deposit, but since I planned on getting the work done there, I paid it and scheduled the repair for later in the week. The next day I heard some negative things about the shop and it made me uncomfortable moving forward. I called the owner, Mo, and asked if I could cancel the appointment and get my $800 deposit back. Right away he became defensive and told me I couldn't cancel and that the deposit was non-refundable. After going back and forth for a bit he hung up on me. When I called back, he said he would give me $600 back instead of the full $800 and that I would have to come to the shop to pick it up in cash. I went there in person to try to talk things through and ask why I couldn't get the full amount back, especially since no work had been done on my car. Instead of explaining, he started yelling and said that by canceling I was taking money out of his pocket. I stayed calm and just repeated that I was asking for my deposit back since no services were performed. He eventually told me to leave and continued saying they don't give refunds. So in the end, no work was done on my vehicle and they are still keeping my $800 deposit. The way this situation was handled felt extremely unprofessional and frustrating. At this point I may have to consider small claims court to try to recover my deposit. I'm sharing my experience so others can be aware before deciding to bring their vehicle here. After this happened I also went back and looked through the previous 5-star reviews on this page. Many of them seemed very generic and were all posted within about a two-week period, which made them seem questionable to me. I would encourage people to read through all the reviews carefully before choosing this shop.

I am writing this review because for years I only thought of Midas for mufflers and brakes but this location (run by Mike and Brian) is a full service auto repair shop. My sister's husband has been a regular customer here for a long time and recommended that I try them as he really likes their work and feels that the pricing is more than fair. I just had new tires installed on my car and they included a wheel alignment complimentary. I have also used them to fix an electrical problem for my daughter's older car which another repair shop could not do. This Midas is excellent to do business with. They complete the work when promised and are very honest with recommendations and up front with costs. read more

I called and they said they had no record of it being done so I brought them in the original invoice from 2021. I had a very nice discussion with the General Manager who assured me he put it in my records. To add insult to injury with their 2 time computer mistake I was charged the 2.99 for record retention. I think they need to pay me for my record retention. It's not the 2.99 but I don't think that should be placed onto the customer. It's an operating cost for them. As you can see it's not worth 2.99. Please review your records before going to this dealership. I would have put out over 2500.00 of unnecessary work. Will be using their competitors in the future. No trust left after 13 years. Be ware.!!!!
