Very disappointing experience. I brought my son with me while getting an oil change, and while we were waiting, he was playing on the arcade machine with another child. The employee at the front desk with a very rude attitude and told me, "Can you tell him to stop banging on the buttons? It was not cheap, it was expensive." He yelled it from the desk in front of everyone I had absolutely no problem being told to make sure my son was careful with the machine. What I had a problem with was the disrespectful way I was approached and the fact that another child was playing on the same machine at the exact same time, yet the employee chose to address only me and my son. I was there alone with my son, while the other child was there with both parents. I'm Hispanic, while the employee and the other family were Black. Because of the obvious difference in how the two families were treated, I left wondering whether I was singled out because of my ethnicity. I cannot speak to his intentions, but the way the situation was handled absolutely made me feel that way. If you're going to enforce a rule about how the arcade machine is being used, then enforce it consistently with everyone--not just the one parent you feel comfortable confronting. The issue wasn't the request. It was the attitude, the disrespect, and the apparent double standard. Had an appointment with a Groupon voucher for all tire rotation and was told that I need to purchase an suspension check. Informed of issue with car rear end and parts changed replaced in the rear and final diagnosis was to do work on front end suspension before an alignment could be done worth thousands. Found and fixed problem myself and had another shop do the all wheel alignment with no problems. read more

I recommended this place to my father in law to get a diagnostics (OBD2) inspection done and they charged him 160.00 and never plugged a OBD scanner up to the vehicle. Chris (the manager or whatever his title is) gave my 82 year old father in law a quote for 4,150.00 to replace the catalytic converter that had already been replaced two months ago. I don't want to give any star they need to shut down! If I could sue and close this place down I would and I will be looking into suing them. Jacob who I guess is the owner shows no empathy and could care less if his employees communicates properly or not. Honestly the other people showed more empathy than the manager. I came for an oil leak repair was told it was the valve cover they had my car two days. Told me it was done . I came to pick it up and was given a paper showing recommended replace catalyst converter I declined and it was put on paperwork. Showed me what was done and also had the vacuum pump and oil pan on paperwork so never was explained that those too needed to be replaced. I paid 1200 to get a job done and it wasn't completely fixed. If the vacuum pump and oil pan needed to be fixed why only tell the customer it's the valve cover. Then accused me of wanting my car fixed for free after they didn't completely fix my shit in the first place. Blamed me for not asking the right questions lol. Then new customer coming in and told me he would have to ask me to leave because I'm there upset about my car that was in their care and wasn't fixed properly after yall got me out of 1200. I asked for corporate number and of course u didn't get it. They need to replace the manager asap very unprofessional. read more

They are liars and bad at it. They don't like Groupon so be cautious when using one. I scored a full synthetic oil change coupon that made the price go from $99 to $37. It's good for 5 quarts of oil. I get there and they tell me my car takes 5 1/2 quarts. I googled my vehicle and it takes 4 and 5 in certain models. They were using to charge me $10 extra for .5 of a quart. I went to a different location before this one and he tried to charge me $10 for a full quart. How does .5 cost $10$. They got caught in their lore and discounted that $10 down to $3 when I shouldn't have paid anything. Please pick another place to get your oil changed. I will never go back to midas. Unless I have a Groupon just to make sure they don't get paid much on my service. They were so mad that he told Mr to my face that " I won't make money for servicing your car". He was more concerned on making money rather than the well-being of my car. He got even more petty by servicing a car that came after me. Mind you I had an appointment. If you do not want to be overcharged, I highly recommed you check somewhere else. I was quoted $460 for a muffler on an11 year old car and kindly said "no thanks". Took my car to another shop this morning and was only charged $189. I had a similiar experience with them a few years ago but, thought that it was an isolated incident but, no it has to be common practice to overcharge their customers. read more

If I could give 0 stars, that would be my true assessment. I will never give my business to this Midas. I have never in my life been charged $90 for a simple oil change. Once my charge was processed on my account I spoke with the manager, Simon, who wasn't willing to do anything to rectify the situation. Not to mention the fact that they lied about my oil options. Simon tried to make it seem like the most expensive option was my only choice, but over the phone a drastically cheaper option was available that no one presented to me in person. I have had several experiences with Midas when I lived in California & I have never had to pay more that $30 for an oil change, the would even wash your windows. Over the past year I have had my front and back brakes and rotors replaced at Midas Humble. My car would pulse and shake. After replacing and resurfacing many times (three that I can find the invoice) at Midas we took the car to the Volvo dealership. We paid for the brakes to be replaced again at Volvo and reported the damage that Midas did to the vehicle. Midas ruined the brakes and damaged my car. The owner of Midas Humble Jacob Jenkins would not answer our emails. I called corporate today and he finally called me. Jacob Jenkins refused to refund the money we paid. He talked down to me and hung up the phone on me. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and did not try to resolve the situation. I am very disappointed in this business. Please tell your family and friends to never give them your business. There were bolts, pins and brackets missing and screws were stripped. read more

LESSONS LEARNED: Beware of their SCARE TACTICS, incomplete parts listings and estimates! Always get a SECOND OPINION. Situation: Apparently I needed a wheel alignment due to uneven wear on my old tires. So after purchasing all new tires from Discount Tire in Humble (great service, BTW) they recommended me to this Midas for a wheel alignment. I got the alignment however Midas then said that new front struts and rear shocks were still needed. A final wheel alignment after installation of the new struts and shocks would also be required. They quoted me $1600 for all that work so I declined. I took it elsewhere for the new struts and shocks and came back to Midas for the final wheel alignment. Before the final wheel alignment was to done, Scott (Midas manager) consulted with me and claimed that the previous work done (new struts and shocks installed by others) were still missing parts and to get everything 'aligned properly' Midas would still have to install other parts (parts they neglected to tell me about during the struts and shocks phase estimate). Quoted price ($1600+). His attitude throughout this consult was demeaning, condescending, "I told you so' and scolding! I didn't appreciate that attitude. Needless to say, I left. Happy to report that I recently got my tires rotated (Discount Tire) and they didn't report any uneven wear on my new tires. read more

12/17/19-HORRIBLE DO NOT GO THERE! Took my truck in for an oil change, didn't like the price ("sale" price of 59.99) i was going to go to the chevy dealer down the street where i NORMALLY go with no issue but i was short on time due to work. Long story short they say i need 2gs worth of work for an oil leak.. i knew they were FOS when one of the guys says don't shoot the messenger, they show me the supposed oil leak and i tell them i just want to pay for the oil change. 12$$ FOR LABOR ON AN OIL CHANGE,$3 FOR USING MY OWN DEBIT CARD-- TOTAL OVER $71.00. Told them they were scamming people, the fat guy who thinks he's buff and the balding manager Jacob BOTH start arguing with me with one having to tell the other to calm down repeatedly as if it were the WWE..i told them i go to the dealership and have never EVER been told i had an oil leak.. the "manager/owners" response- its always the the1st one to find it the problems fault" how predictable and pathetic. I argued more with them and told them they had sneaky tacky shady practices to blind customers, reel them in and add on unnecessary sur charges, "read the fine print" we said its cash charge was so and so not card... i will upload the video later. I could get an oil change in 40m. Just use the coupon on their site to save $10. It would have been nice if they actually did what was on the coupon. I needed new brakes on my audi and an oil change. When they took back tires off they were worn down to threads. Bad alignment. They replaced tires and brakes threw in the oil change and gave me a discount. Simon the manager was awesome and understood my low cash plight. Unfortunately they could not get my brake sensor to switch off so Josh the mechanic had to drive me home. It was a Saturday and I was annoyed that I would be without a car for Monday. Simon offered to rent me a car for work. Then Josh showed up on Sunday with my car. He had come in on his day off to fix the issue. I recommended them to my friend who has a BMW and had to get brakes fixed and oil change. Not cheap . She mentioned me and they remembered me. Simon gave her an even better deal . Will bring her with me next time lol. They did a great job and saved me over $500. Brakes on an audi typically have cost me over $600 for front or back, but Simon worked a great deal and I walked away paying $700 for everything. Would recommend them. read more

I had work done on my other car here and they damaged the entire left side of my car when they brought it off the ramp. This time the manager/owner was rude from the start. I should not have to pull the details out of you when you are here to provide me with a service. "Your roaters look bad." He said this in passing and went into his office. "Is this a service you all provide?" He answered yes from his office. "Can you provide me with a cost estimate of charges?" He answered yes again from his office then made his way out to pull it up on his computer. I purchased the services he halfway suggested and my damn car is running rougher than it was before. After spending too much time and money I brought it back for them to fix and the manger explains to me rudely in front of other customers that they can't fix the issue!!! I noticed a few days ago I was still with original pads on my rear breaks, so I stopped by to get them checked out. They took my car to the bay furtest away so I could not watch, there were no other cars or customers in the shop, that did not give me a good feeling. Around 30 minutes later the tech came in looked at me like he was trying to intimate me and spoke with the manager. They both went to look at my car, i saw the manager make a show of loking at the car. Then they come back to the front a few minutes later, and get onto the policemen pose of intimidation, I had to bite my tongue not to laugh and said my check engine light was on, I told them I know and I taking it to the dealer to fix. They told me we do that, i declined again then was told I did not need new pads my car and they would go put the wheels back on. 20 minutes later I get my car back and their was no charge and no paperwork telling how much pads I had left. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to people I hated, much less my friends or fellow yelpers. A side no the check engine light was on because I blew some valves in a cylinder, ended up with a new engine I sincerely doubt the would have a clue how to fix that if it takes them 20 minutes to put on 4 tires. read more

Dishonest. They take advantage of women coming in and think they can scare them into fixing unneeded services with absolute lies. I came in over a year ago with a brake issue and was told that I had gotten a "bad oil change" from the Honda dealer previously which had resulted in the wrong fluids being put into the wrong place and I needed to park the car and not drive again. Please note that I hadn't had an oil change in a few months and if this claim had been true, my car would have broken down the same week I had gotten an oil change. The tech went as far as to pour an unknown liquid into a styrofoam cup so I could "see for myself." Of course I was in the waiting room when he supposedly got this sample. I later took the car to another mechanic who said it was totally made up and not the cause of my brake issue. Midas quoted a $400 job at over $1000 because of this untrue claim. Ok so i moved here a year ago and my car broke down and midas was the closest place to take it they told me my AC compressor was out and it would be 1500 i told them id get a second opinion. I then took it somewhere else only to find out i needed a battery, and oil change and to replace battery connections costing me 200. Then i received a coupon in the mail for a 17point oil change and thought cool ill go back and get and oil change amongst other things on the coupon when i got there the guy at the counter was not interested in helping me and then they did an oil change but didnt do the tire rotation, clean the windows, vacuum the floors or check my fluids and refill like the coupon said so im done with this midas and theyre customer service. read more
