Midas does my maintenance on my 10 year old vehicle. I have had my vehicle for that long with minimal issues and I owe it to Jose' at Midas. Jose' is my guy. My hubby and Jose' hit it right off 9 years ago and when my hubby finds someone he likes he supports the business because of them. Jose' is always friendly, always gives good customer service, and you can rest knowing if he's involved then you're in good hands. Today I came in for an AC issue and will come back to schedule an appointment to get my vehicle in. It's too hot in these streets to have ac issues. The value you get in quality care of your vehicle can't be priced but they are affordable. My 85 year old father is undergoing treatment for lung cancer. We were at Kaiser and had already had a complete tire blowout that morning on the 15. We made it to Kaiser on the spare. As we left, our spare went flat in front of Meidas. I don't know the name of the guy who was in charge, but he tried to inflate my ruined spare tire. My original tire that was in the truck earned a "Wow" because of how shredded it was. Meidas didn't have my tires, so he recommended a tire shop two blocks away, found an old spare and had it put on so we could get there, and was so kind and helpful. So was the guy who did the work. We made it to the tire shop, got our tires, and finally my dad could rest. In a day of bad luck, Meidas was a much-needed bright spot. read more

I came here after going to Walmart (oil change) and Costco(tire rotation) on a Saturday. Costco recommended I get a tire alignment. Good price but American Tire offered better price later time. Took time to get service but when finished. I notice my gear shift cover broken. I talked to front and he offered to put it back on but I have to pay for the product because he didn't know where to get it. He said it is normal wear an tear, but no problem with other places I was at during the day. He called the driver and asked what happened, he said it was slightly broken which I should of known and other store would point it out. Gave me excuse that it can happen with any service. He didn't offer to buy and get it delivered to my house. He said I go get it and they can install it. Didn't even tell me it was broken. Two star for no high price but didn't fix my concern. Update: I tried to ask for 30 minutes to get it fixed or covered, but he said it is not the team fault and it can happen while working on any car. They are quick, friendly, and thorough when they do checks, changes, and other services. Every experience has been straight forward and they help to find the best cost and quality. Regular or routine checks are always so informative and they even recommend when some parts need to be checked or changed. They sometimes even try to help me schedule out services so that I can get my affairs in order if they need to keep my car or when they can get parts for my requested service. The technicians are also great when providing a time frame and really do their best to get the services done as quickly and thoroughly as they can. I also get update calls for when my parts come in and when they are ready to start their work. Since they do not yet have a tracking feature on an app, I appreciate the time they put into calling me and getting me a heads up on my cars progress and updates. After paying a couple of unreliable mobile mechanics off Craigslist, I then realized I was having tons of noise from under my front suspension. I brought in to Jose who took the car for a drive to hear what i was hearing. He then lifted it up to see that almost every bolt of the part that the mobile mechanic has installed were all completely loose. They did my alignment for me which has never been done. I see a lot of people had the same experience I did here - a bunch of bays, maybe 8 or 10 - but only one or two in use! I went in for an oil change, since the sign says "SPEEDEE Oil Change". Well, apparently they didn't have fifteen minutes do change the oil. I went in around noon and they couldn't fit me in until the next day. Spoiler: BOTH oil change bays were empty! Not much to say abiut the inside at car stops.. The waiting room was typical with a Keurig, water maxhine, and soda machine. Thet could always update to something more comfy and possibly clean the floors. The service was fast and accurate. They didn't try and hassle me on anything. They brought me in the workshop to see my tires and prove I needed new ones. I figured I did but glad they showed me. The pricing is in reason to a typical oil change. $39.99 The tires were price matched with Wal-Mart at $75 a piece. (I drive a small compact.) They were very professional and quick. I normally do all my service and maintenance with Meineke since they have certified mechanics, but there isn't any locations nearby. However, this place was up to par. I had a great experience here today getting my brakes done. The dealership wanted to charge me a small fortune for new brakes, but Jose ran a diagnostics test to make sure I even needed new brakes in case the dealer was trying to nickel and dime me. I did in fact need new brakes and Jose was very friendly and helpful during the process. He also fixed a tail light that was out on my boyfriend's car, who was there to pick me up while I waited for my brakes to be completed. I went in for an oil change. They said it includes fluid check and tire rotation. They were done so fast, so I asked why they didn't do tire rotation, They said oh wasn't needed. Professional. Courteous. My brakes started making a bad sound one afternoon so I stopped in to see what my options were. I'd never been to Midas before so I fully expected to walk away with an idea of what to do next. They diagnosed the problem and offered solutions within minutes. They didn't try to pressure me into any repairs that weren't necessary. In fact they found a couple of online coupons for me to use that saved me some decent bucks. I had a belt replaced that was clearly worn and was done in about 90 minutes. I may have waited all of two minutes to be seen. This will be my new neighborhood car repair place. read more

The waiting room has a soda machine, a keurig with several flavors to choose from. For entertainment while you wait they offer several magazines and two separate TVs. The staff seems to be knowledgeable and always courteous. I feel confident when brining my vehicle not to get pressured with products or services not actually needed. The waiting room is sufficiently clean and tidy. A unisex restroom provides the proper amount of facilities for necessary bodily waste. ***Alert***PRICE GOUGING occurs at this location. Called to get an estimate to uninstall/ install an after market catback exhaust (100%guarenteed flush fit for my make and model). This would consist of unscrewing 4 bolts, and 2 hanger hooks to uninstall & then obvious installing the new catback exhaust with 4 bolts and 2 hanger hooks. George on the phone told me $200! For any competent mechanic this would be a 45min - hour job MAX! I told him that was a rip off and he laughed as he hung up. Wolf Auto repair in Miramar did this exact job for $55!!!!!! Midas is out there trying to scam and take advantage of people who are uneducated with cars. They must charge $250/hr at that price or George is trying to take advantage of people.
