I was there since 7:35am they open at 7:30am, it is now 8:52am and I am waiting for my car to be done at Midas on cottman and rising sun and I literally just got here they immediately took me in and they have other customers as well, I was the only customer at the other one and they were so inattentive. The white guy in the front is an absolute asshole. He overcharged me, Im getting the same thing over here paying half the price. He told me 20 min wait he never even took my keys until I came back and asked him if I should put my car in the garage myself. Then he went and sat in the back office so I wouldn't bother him anymore, so i just had someone to get me my keys. NEW EMPLOYEES NEEDED OR SHUT THIS LOCATION DOWN!!!!! read more

This morning I had a nail in my right back tire and pulled into Midas on Bustleton Avenue. The manager and his staff greeted me, took down information and then repaired the tire within 15 minutes. The technician who worked on my car was efficient and he most certainly had expertise. I would recommend Midas muffler to anyone who needs a repair on their car. read more

I went in for an oil change. I arrived for a 1 p.m. appointment but was told it would be an hour and a half wait. I could not wait, so I rescheduled for an appointment, for first thing in the morning. I came back the following day and was seen quick. I was in and out, in 30 minutes. I was pleased with how kind and social, the guy at the front desk was. He was so sweet and attentive. Customer service is highly recognized here and I will be back for future service. My girlfriend had a heater hose break on her jeep on a Friday evening. We had it towed home because it seemed like a simple fix as the hose had quick connects on both end. I spent most of the day Saturday calling around to all the auto parts places and even searching online and calling the dealer for this hose. No one had one in stock and it was on back order and would take 5-7 business days to get it in. So we call up Midas to see if they may have a way to get one that isn't available to the general public. My girlfriend recommended Midas because she has had dealing with them before and were really good. Not only could they get the hose they could get it that day and have it fixed by that evening. Mickey and Rob went above and beyond with the service they provided. Mickey helped us with the financials and sourcing the part. Rob took the time to go and get the part and got the vehicle fixed and running in no time. We had a prior appointment so we couldn't pick up the car that evening and they allowed us to leave it there until Monday morning. Even though we were not picking up till Monday Rob still went ahead and got the car fixed up. I recommend if you are ever in need of any kind of service or repair to your vehicle go and see Mickey and Rob. read more

Edit: post-corporate complaint, this Midas reached out and refunded me the labor charge ($40 plus tax). They apologized for the situation. I added a star for good customer service. Husband took my car for an inspection. They "test drove it" over a mile away past the blvd to go get food at 5 guys/popeyes/where ever. Husband brought it up to "Mickey" who gave him $10 off (we had a $20 coupon and he gave an additional $10). I have screenshots - at "lunch" in my car for over 15 min. This is seriously to me like hiring a maid and coming in to her sleeping in my bed. It is unprofessional and invasive. I personally feel my property and trust was violated. Do not use them - they are over priced and do not respect your time/property. I have an open case with corporate, who were equally shocked and appalled. Awaiting the resolution team's response. I would like the inspection to be comped. $10 barely covers the gas and wear on my car, let alone my husbands time. Doordash next time boys! read more

Went in for my second oil change, will not go back again. Had a coupon for 18.99 the first time, total charge was 27.00 which included a disposal fee and taxes. Six months later, same coupon, same location except I sent my daughter who was charged 42.00!!!! Called and spoke to Rob who explained that the coupon only covers 5 quarts of oil and I needed 6. He explained 7.00 for additional oil, 4.00 disposal fee plus taxes. How did that add up to 42.00??? Continually called "Hon" when he tried to explain how this cost so much. WILL NOT RETURN. If you offer a coupon for 18.99 oil change, let me know I will be paying additional 23.00 BEFORE you provide your service. Would not have let you touch my car. My father took his car to get the brakes and rotors done- it cost him over 700 dollars. 13 days later the bolts are off the left rear tire brake area and the car can not be driven. We take the car back and are told the brake line "blew" which only affected one tire. Very disrespectful in regular customer dealings. Do not go here! Take your car to any place better!!! read more

I would never ever go back there again. I went in there for brakes and they try scare me by say I need other things which I know I didn't because I just got everything check at my other mechanic. And they tried to charge me more than the dealer for my brakes. The guy was nice to me until I said I didn't want to get the brakes his personality changed and he wasn't so nice afterwards. they always trying to get females. I had a bad experience here. I went in for an advertised oil change bargain. They were very nice and friendly, especially when they called me into the bay area to show me over a thousand dollars worth of work I needed. Almost a third was for tires.That ended up being correct. The rest was for brakes, rotors and exhaust work. I took the car over to my regularr service place. Brakes? No. There is 6/32nd left. Rotors? No. They're fine. Exhaust? It looks fine. And it passed state emissions inspection. Draw your own conclusion. read more

I had my car inspected on 7/11/2017 and they passed my emissions and I was given an emissions sticker. I was told my car failed inspection as I needed to have the control arm with ball joints replaced. The mechanic told me I could apply for the Midas credit card to pay to replace the control arm with ball joints. I decided to go to a licensed mechanic who does state inspections for a second opinion. He did a full inspection of the control arm with ball joints and found them in perfect condition and the car passed inspection. I called 1-800-621-8545, Midas's contact number if you have issues, to let them know that I was told a perfectly working part needed to be replaced. They transferred me to the manager at this location. He said that I could return with my car and he can look at it again, as they see a lot of cars and he felt the second mechanic I went to could have just passed my car to get business. I was hesitant to let someone under my hood who had lied to me. I didn't expect him to say, "Okay, I lied", but there was zero accountability. I called the 1-800 number again, as there was no resolution after speaking with the manager. I was given a reference number. I was told they have 48 hours to resolve the claim. I am anticipating being reimbursed for the inspection charge. Lesson learned that there is a heavy price to pay for convenience. I am so thankful something felt wrong and I got a second opinion before paying a lot of money for something that wasn't even broken. read more

Absolutely horrible and overpriced! The technicians at Midas will rip you off if you're a woman or are not familiar with cars. I dropped off my car at Midas to replace my radiator and change oil. They called me later telling me that on top of that will I need to replace a radiator hose and all of the tires, claiming that they're "worn out", giving me an estimate of $1,895. I told him that I don't want my tires to be changed, and asked for the price estimate to just replace the radiator/hose and oil change. He said it would be $925. I told him that it's too much and that not to touch anything until my mom picks up the car (as I wasn't able to at the time). At that time he said that they already changed the oil in my car and did the diagnostics and that I have to pay $140 before I can pick it up. I though it was outrageous, but I paid it over the phone anyway and told my mom to pick up my car as soon as possible. When I got home and checked on the car, its speakers were blown out and sounded really bad, as if someone blasted music on full volume in my car. I thought it was really odd because my speakers sounded fine before I brought it to midas. I will make Midas responsible for damaging my speakers! When I took my car to a different shop the next day, they replaced my radiator for $350 ( didn't need to replace a hose and tires). Never again am I having business with Midas, and will tell all my friends and relatives to avoid that place. It's a TOTAL SCAM AND A RIP OFF. read more
