This place use to be good, but a change in management took place and it sucks. My car was fine when I took it in. The racked up 1,700 in repairs and were not finished when promised. The next day I had to return because the under carriage cover was not secured and fell off. They lost the original bolts and replaced them with cheap zip ties. I had to replace the cover . Here's an update- after sending me to get an estimate it was determined that the repair shop didn't cause the damage. They ignored the metadata from the photos indicating that the photos were taken during pick up not at drop off, they said I wasn't present when I was, & they drafted up an inspection form to cover themselves. If Goodyear was the only shop and I was stranded. I'm staying stranded until the forest creatures magically help me like mice & birds did Cinderella. read more

Made an online appointment for inspections/emissions. Arrived slightly early and was told that it will take 3-4 hours. I decided to wait. In less than an hour, long and behold, the testing was completed. However, I was told that in order to get a sticker, I will need to replace my windshield wipers. The wipers are working perfectly (free from any defects and cracks along the blades). These cost an extra $39.99. Lastly, my car had stains (see pictures). Completely disappointed. Not coming back. Not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews, but I guess that's why I'm here! I stopped by Goodyear after I made an appointment at Pep boys for the same day. Pep boys called me up 3 hours before my appointment to tell me that 2 of the guys who normally do oil changes up and quit. I decided to drive around to see if I could get a quick appointment elsewhere. Thankfully Goodyear was open! I stopped in and was greeted by a very nice dude who asked me for my registration and gave me the oil options. I walked back to my car and was immediately greeted by a mechanic who took my keys. He jumped in my car and was off. I took a walk since I was told it would take less than an hour, and I got a call 36 minutes later that everything was done. Super friendly, super easy, super quick. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS LOCATION - go to the nearby Meineke or Pep Boys instead. Here's why - strike 1 - they refused to fix my tire because I used Fix-a-Flat and they couldn't be bothered to deal with the mess, even though most cars come without spares. Strike 2 - slow leak in my son's car. They called and said pick it up but they had no idea why it was losing air, but maybe I should buy a new tire. Strike 3 - they said my left rear tire had an unrepairable nail in the shoulder and I should get it towed to the Porsche dealer. I said how about if you put the spare on - they said there's no spare. I said, yes there is, go look. They insisted there was no spare, but they LIED. And always with the 'tude - they don't care about anything except selling you tires that you don't need yet. I go to this location because its convenient. However, this shop needs real leadership attention and the Goodyear policy that they frequently cite needs to be reviewed. First, the place is filthy dirty and most of the front end staff need better customer service training. Second, this location and others that I have been to seem to thrive on ripping customers off for services they say they perform. Example, with every oil change the tires are supposed to be rotated. Yet, in the last 2 oil changes that I had, where I expressly requested the tires be rotated, they were not. When I call it to their attention, they say "The best tires are on the back", this is a Goodyear policy. Here is the rip off. Using that logic, tires will never be rotated. On both of my vehicles, they have brand new tires (all 4). Both vehicles are front wheel drive. By definition, front tires will always wear more because of the engine weight and turning. The back wheels will only roll straight - no weight. Their logic will always lead to NOT rotating the tires. The tires should always be rotated to ensure even wear. Their strategy is to eventually sell you (2) tires - the front! I've had other issues where Goodyear (Not this shop) said they performed work, had a receipt they performed the work and they did not! Beware and insist to have your tires rotated and mark your tires to ensure they perform the service that you pay for read more

Not sure why this place gets a bad rep, but I had an awesome experience here. I scheduled an appointment online for a tire puncture repair and brought it in around 4PM. The gentleman that checked me in just reiterated that he didn't know how long it was going to be, and he just asked me if I'll be waiting for my vehicle while it was being fixed up (which I was). I hoped over to the Dunkin' next door, grabbed a coffee, and came back. I patiently waited in the (socially distant) waiting room, where they had a mini-fridge full of waters and a TV (with the Phillies on!). About an hour later the man called me over to sign the paperwork, and voila...balance was $0. The free puncture repair (granted that there are not other issues), is truly FREE. Wonderful service for a city repair shop, and one that I would trust and hit up again, if needed. read more

Brought car in for emissions appt. 7 hours later, picked up car. Was charged for oil and inspection. Noticed no stickers on my car. Told me machine was down. Went back in to get stickers only to find out they never did the inspection and that I had to make another appt and could only use them for my inspection since it was in the system. I figured that one of my tires had a puncture as one of the tires was much lower in tire pressure compared to the other tires. I was in a bit of a bind as I noticed this middle of Saturday. They were able to fit me in the same day and assured me that they would be able to take a look and patch it by the end of the day. They gave me a call to let me know they were finished well before closing hours. I don't foresee any issues, but will make an update in a month or two to note the quality of work. read more

Terrible shop! Unprofessional. I'll never go back . These people do not care. I recently relocated to Philadelphia. Came in for an oil change and brake inspection. Also asked if they would check my left rear wheel bearing while the tire was off. I told them there was a small oil leak and he said they would check it out. The guy at the desk said he would take me and show me the left rear axle while the tires were off. . I asked how long it might take and he said he would get it pulled in and do it right away. 3 hours later a gruff masculine technician named Tiffany called me over and tried to sell me a brake job , told me the engine was covered in oil and I needed to have the engine cleaned to see the leak. When I told her iI did not have time for the brake pad install Tiffany took a 20 minute break then put the tires back on the car. I was there for a total of 3hrs and 19 minute. They did not show me the rear axle while the tire was off. Waste of my time I would not trust these people with any car. Never again!! Truly unprofessional service. read more

Anyways the guys at this place were friendly and quick with the installation of my tires. We did have a hiccup my original appointment was for 8am but because someone called out they called me that morning asking to push it back until 11am. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to replace one tire and put it on the car. And I had no people in front of me. It definitely took more time to assemble the paperwork than to put the tire on the rim and on the car. I need a tire changed. It is none of your business what is my e-mail, address, or whatever other useless Goodyear marketing info you are going to put into your computer. If the customer is #1, then serve it fast and ASK if the customer needs your free X point checkup. I am coming to you with a tire and a rim and I expect, if there is no line, that I will be out of there in ~10min. I guess not at Goodyear. If you go in for a flat tire fix you will drive down the road to find that two other tires have "Irreparable Damage". They will claim to balance your tires but when you drive down the road your steering wheel will feel like you're gripping a feral cat that hasnt eaten in days. You will have to get the tires balanced at a different shop, where that different shop will say all the tires are completely off. Thank you for truly scheisty business! read more

I went there to get new tires and alignment. When I came back to get my car, the guy at the front desk told me that they can't do alignment because I needed suspension parts. He quoted $800 for required work. I then went to a mechanic near my work and he did my alignment with no problems and told me I didn't need any of the work at this moment!! Very disappointing. I had the pleasure of receiving services from Randy and Dennis who both went above and beyond to help me through an unfortunate situation. I had purchased a Goodyear tire through Roll by Just Tires and in less than two weeks I needed to replace it. When asked if I purchased the roadside hazard insurance, I replied no, as this was the first I've heard of it. So Randy called up Roll by Just Tires on my behalf to communicate my situation to them and explain that I had not been offered the insurance upon purchase of the tire. Well Roll by decided they had done nothing wrong and that they were not going to do anything for me. Randy, however, called Honda on my behalf to discuss what tire options were best for my AWD and reported to me that I should either get two new Goodyear tires or one new Michelin tire as this is what all of my other tires are. I decided to go with one Michelin (obviously for financial reasons) and he called Honda to ensure they had one before I made the trip over. Not once did he pressure me to buy a Goodyear tire or make me feel bad for not purchasing one. On top of this, Dennis the store manager told me that if Honda was going to charge me for the tire installation to bring the tire back and they would install it for free. Which they did. Bless you Randy and Dennis, you made an unfortunate event a lot easier with your helpfulness and generosity. All I needed was a plug in my tire. I went and waited outside until they opened ... I'm aware they have previously scheduled appointments and fully expected to wait or leave my car... the guy who works there comes out obviously angry about being there... throws some paper work around .. then proceeds to be very very rude to the gentleman in front of me.. at this point every employee there seemed angry to be working and had horrible customer service .. I get to the counter and immediately am greeted with attitude.. as I explain I need a plug he interrupts me and tells me how. Busy he is. Then I say I can leave my car no problem approximately how long will it be.. he then tells me how could he know that And wouldn't even give me a rough ball park.. After scheduling an appointment two weeks in advance with Steve Mann (who was accommodating about not having the tires I needed in stock), a more pressing issue arose and I needed to get tires quickly. I called three days in advance and they got the tires I needed in stock. Spoke to a lovely woman named Tiffany who told me I could bring my car in as long as I got there before 6:30. When I arrived Dennis was a complete and total dolt. Even though I arrived at 6:20. I still had to leave work early and did not got new tires. I needed a single tire installation. I ordered the tire+installation online through Goodyear's main website (because delivery to the nearest Goodyear is free). I also scheduled an appointment for the tire change 3 days later, and received an email confirmation immediately after the order. On the day before the appointment, I received a phone call from this Goodyear on Oregon Ave and was told that the tire would be expected to arrive the next day at 8-8:30 am, later than my 7 am requested appointment. They kindly asked if I could just come after 8:30 instead. I agreed. The day of the appointment, I showed up ~8:45 am, and was told that my appointment did not show up in their system. However, they soon clarified that this was because it was an online order through Goodyear.com, and that there was no problem as they would still be able to change the tire. But here's where it got weird. The system did not record any tire having been delivered or even sent from the warehouse. I was getting frustrated and wondered what this meant. Fortunately, they realized that the tire arrived two days prior (basically the day after my online order) but was not logged in as having arrived. They apologized sincerely and installed the new tire in a reasonable amount of time. Summary: I want to make it clear that the two employees I met, Joe and Rubin, were absolutely fantastic to work with and extremely courteous and understanding. What annoyed me, however, is that there seems to be poor communication and systems management. If they had simply logged that the tire arrived, they would not have needed to request that I delay my appointment time and then go on a time-consuming search to figure out what happened to the tire. Goodyear, you hired great employees, but you need to streamline your process if you want me to ever come back. Footnote: It's really busy, so expect delays (but that can't really be helped unless more employees are hired). read more

They installed 2 new tires, allegedly guaranteed for 40,000 miles, less than a month ago and one turned out to be defective and went flat on us. Not only that but they reattached the lug nuts in such a way that anoher mechanic had to break them off. To perpetuate the ignominy of the situation, they refused to reimburse us for the defective tire because they claimed it was damaged by an impact of some kind. If the tire had been good, we would have had no problem to begin with. If the tire was bad but had been installed properly, we would have had only minor inconvenience. If they agreed to refund us for their crappy tire, they might have appeased us. Instead, they failed egregiously on all three counts. Had these guys install 4 new tires on my car. Once they were done, the tire light sensor was on and would not reset. Not just one tire sensor was bad, but all four. I booked an appointment online for a new tire. I called the next day to make sure that the tire I selected was the right tire for my model, the same one I bought from Goodyear last year. The woman on the phone told me "Yes. Absolutely the same one, it's good to go." The next day during my appointment (which I was missing work for) I was there for an hour before they even looked at my car. When they did, the same woman told me the tire I selected was the wrong size. When I questioned her on why yesterday she told me it was the right one she said to me that "you never asked that" she lied to my face in front of her manager. So now the only tire you had in stock was $150 when the tire I thought I was getting was $79. That extra money is me feeding my family for the week! If I could have gone somewhere else I would've but I had to just get it done and run back to work so I wouldn't miss MORE pay. I will never buy a tire from Goodyear again. read more

4 brand new tires mounted - ruined in 4 months due to incompetent installer!! Please avoid this Installer at any cost. I went here to install 4 Conti DWS 275/45/19 on my '06 VW Touareg. They struggled mounting these tires, I spend over 4hrs waiting in their store as a result. I took my car to another mechanic a week after the installation/alignment of these tires, who informed me my steering wheel was way off center and the car was pulling to the left heavily. Within 4 months as a result of the incompetence of this installer my tires have worn excessively, and needed to be replaced again - less then 5,000 miles on them!! What a way to waste over a $1,000 on perfectly fine tires. I spoke a few times with Goodyear (Gemini) HQ and also went back to this installer. They deny any wrongdoing and blame customer for needing to replace these tires within 5,000 miles! If you care about your own safety - please avoid this installer at all cost - or any Goodyear/Gemini installer for that matter. read more

So it seems this place is not getting a lot of love. I've used it mainly for tires/oil changes/alignments, and I've never had any issues. Recently, they even replaced a tire for essentially no cost, and they really didn't have to do it, either. I wrote a much longer version of the story below, but let me say this: as a transplant from Ohio (I've been here for 11 years), I don't expect much in the way of customer service in Philly. I'm not complaining about it; Philly is what it is. And this place (Goodyear) definitely went out of their way for me during my last interaction with them, so I figured it was worth sharing what happened. So I went in for a routine oil change and alignment, during which they found a bubble on my front tire. They ordered a replacement, I came back 2 days later, and they installed it. Fast forward 8 days. I noticed a bubble in the same front tire. Granted, I had driven over 1,000 miles in that short span, and there are millions of potholes out there after this bad winter, but it seemed a little too coincidental for me. So I called them up. I spoke to Mike on the phone, and asked about getting a replacement. I had NOT purchased the roadside hazard insurance or whatever it's called (I even told Dan, the service manager at the time, "It's not worth it for just the one tire. I mean, what are the odds that this very same tire will need replaced?"), so Mike told me over the phone it I would probably have to pay the full amount for a replacement. They would have to order it again and they could have it the next day, but he told me to stop by in the meantime and they'd have a look. So when I came down, Dan was there again and handled the transaction. They looked at my car relatively quickly, and they couldn't find anything wrong with the wheel itself that would have caused the same tire to bubble. He said that even though I didn't get the hazard insurance, he would adjust the price when I came back (they had to order the tire) so that it would be about half price. Fair enough. So they had the tire ready the next day, I came back in, and again, they got my car in relatively quickly. When it came time to pay, Dan adjusted the full price of the tire for me, so I ended up paying just the $20 for the hazard insurance that I now have for the new tire (because what are the odds, right? I've tempted fate too much already.). Not the kind of generosity I expected, but it is much appreciated nonetheless. read more
