We have used this location for many years. Service is always good and done to a high standard. It represents good value and always delivers.

I have been a loyal customer of Midas-Port Credit for 20 years. My wife and I, as well as my son and daugher, have owned numerous vehicles in that time and Midas-Port Credit did a good job on all the necessary repairs and maintenance. And during the past 20 years, I have also purchased a number of different set of tires and rims through that location. HOWEVER, on April 16, 2024, I was informed that my summer tires & rims, which were stored at Midas for the winter, had been stolen. And despite all the money that I have spent at Midas-Port Credit, it is now a month later and the situation continues to be UNRESOLVED. When I call, "Anwar"(the Manager??) he talks in circles, but DOES NOT provide options or solutions. I am very disappointed with how I have been treated. Linas Z. read more

I had my oil changed at MIDAS AUTO SERVICE, 3030 New St, Burlington, ON L7N 1M5, and was charged $100 plus HST. There has been an oil leak since the oil change. I asked my mechanic to check it, and they discovered that the mechanic who worked on my car at Midas did not close the oil cap under the engine properly. Fortunately, I noticed the leak from where I had parked. Otherwise, my engine could have seized. It was a very bad experience, and I will never go back to Midas. read more

We took our 2017 Nissan Murano to Midas Port Credit for an oil change last week as we have done for a few years (purchased winter tires from Midas last year and were pleased with the price & service). However, this time we are completely dissatisfied with the service and Brian in particular. Brian or his team damaged the vehicle remote (button missing) and is denying that Midas did the damage. We know with 100% certainty that the remote was in perfect working condition when handed over to Brian. Due to Brian's lying (not to mention did not return any of our messages) we are now out $400 as quoted by Nissan for a new remote and programming. MY ADVICE....DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO MIDAS.....they are untrustworthy (BrIan for certain) and will not stand behind their service! Hope you find this review helpful. read more

I was not happy with the service at this location. I came in for an oil change, but the technician broke the oil plug as he was removing it. The technician wanted to charge me $5 for a new plug. For a $30 oil change, it would be a good gesture to eat the cost of the oil plug, and not charge me because I was not the person who broke the oil plug. I would never go back, nor recommend this location to family or friends. The reason being poor service and customer service. My visit occurred in fall 2011. read more

I just dropped by Midas Auto Service Experts on Lakeshore Drive East in Port Credit, Ontario for an oil change after driving 1560 miles from Texas. The oil change went fine. The "Midas Courtesy Visual Check" attached to the invoice indicated "leak from Rack and Pinion" and "oil leak from bellow boots." Obviously, I was concerned about the drive back to Texas and that this was potentially a very costly fix. I expressed this to the fellow at the counter and he recommended I keep checking the power steering fluid levels. I had the 2009 Honda CRV with 88,000 miles on it checked the next day at another shop in town. That shop owner shook his head, assured me that my car was fine and told me: "Have a good trip!" THESE guys are fucking trash, brought my car in for a tune and i brought a full set of brand new spark plugs, ignition coils, and an oil filter housing gasket. they said it will take 3 hours for all of those and an alignment to be done. 9 hours later i finally get a call saying that they broke a bunch of clips and hoses that have nothing to do with the services provided for my vehicle and did not do the alignment. i waited until the next day so they can get the parts in even though i had my mothers birthday that day and i had work the next day. 9 am the next day the said the broke a bunch more items thats not related to the service provided and i could not get my car back for another 3 days. i told them i have work and they caused me a lot of headache. so what they said is that they will try to reroute some houses and such so its reroutable and i could not take my car without paying for the shitty job that they did. i pay them and setup an appointment to come in the next monday. once i take in my car, its vibrating like crazy because of their crappy as work so i had to spend more money to get it fixed... i call them before i come in for my appointment and they said that i have to pay 1800 dollars in order for the items that broke to be fixed and had already cancelled the items that they broke.... it honestly only gets worse from here and requires me to spend more than 6000 grand for fixing and the car still not even running ever the same, which my case with them is still on going. i would explain more of the blasphamy that happened but would be to long and would shock you guys to much!! read more

I actually own one automobile, which I don't get to drive that often. That is because my wife is the one who uses it the most, and when I do get to drive it is usually for transporting my family to and fro. This is why it is very important to me that the car is always running smoothly and drives safely. I have taken my car to several garages over time, including the dealership, and unfortunately never left with a feeling of satisfaction. In some cases I never felt that the problem had been fixed or that I was getting the whole story and in other cases I felt that I was being taken advantage of over time and prices. Luckily I got the chance to meet Andrew McMaster from Midas Port Credit. He has probably forgotten more about automobiles than I will ever know, and he is always happy to share that knowledge. He always explains things easily and what I most appreciate he explains the consequences of all the options without using fear as a tactic. Which means I always feel comfortable leaving my car at his garage because I fully understand what is going on and what the cost will be. Not only does he know a lot about cars, but for his customers he goes above and beyond to ensure that the job is done right. A few days after an oil change the low oil engine light came on. I took the car back to his garage not sure what to expect. Without hesitation he took the car in, had it up on a hoist and fixed the issue. I was back on the road in less than 30 minutes. All of this is to say that there are no better hands to leave your automobile in than that of Andrew MacMaster and the team at Midas Port Credit. read more

I do not recommend using the Midas in Port Credit. Here is why. I had an oil change on my leased work vehicle. They recommended I change the rear rotors and brake pads. I'm returning my car in early 2020 for a new one so I asked if the rotors were safe and would last till then and they said yes but said I should do the brake pads so I set up an appointment for the brake pads only. I dropped my car off and then when I picked it up they actually did the rotors as well. So the bill was $500 more then it should have been and they did work on my car I did not ask for. There's more... I asked for them to waive the price Or give me a discount. The man working was sooo rude. He basically told me he was annoyed he had to deal with this because he had a party to go. He then said he would give me $70 off and handed me a new invoice that was only $20 less. I showed him that it was only $20 less and he kept saying no it's $70 less. I'm no accountant but I compared the 2 and it was $20. After we painfully sorted that I paid for it and then later called to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor told me the guy I was dealing with who said all the stuff above was the owner. The owner is the rude guy. His name is Monsur (not sure you you spell it). I gave Monsur a chance fix the situation and was told he could do nothing. So not only did they do work on my car I did not ask for but they treated me like crap for their mistake and then won't offer anything and it's the owner that displayed the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. Anyhow I told the owner I would pass on my customer experience to everyone I know in Port Credit. Spread the word. I completely agree with Jason's review. I naively had them change the coolant on my girlfriends car on their recommendation. When I got home and looked through her records she actually had it done only 6 months prior. Another time I stopped in there when the electrical cut out while I was driving on my way home from work. They did a diagnostic and recommended that I get a new battery. When I got home I inspected the battery myself and found that the terminals were very dirty. Once I cleaned them off the problem went away. I have a hard time believing that they did not see that on their inspection. They also botched an oil change and forgot to fully insert the dip stick and secure the cap. I noticed this as the oil sloshed out and dripped onto the exhaust manifold and caused a horrible smell in my car. Long story short...be wary of anything they recommend. read more

I took my car into this location twice. The first time a brake warning light came on and by the time I got it in and they ran a diagnostic 40!!! warnings came up. They reset the computer and everything was fine- it was just a temporary malfunction probably due to snow . They didn't even charge me for this service. A couple of days later I took my car back to have the brakes checked as I had been told there were problems. Much to my relief, when they checked my brakes everything was fine. All I had to pay was the $30 inspection fee- well worth it for my peace of mind. I take away one star because I had booked an appointment for 1130 and my car wasn't inspected until 130. Midas was my "go to and trusted" automotive service centre for decades. Since moving to Port Credit, I have reconsidered. I usually give someone a few chances before casting an opinion since everyone has a bad day once in a while. I've reached my limit perhaps it's due to my paranoia when it comes to men thinking women still don't understand anything and especially cars. I had to learn how to change a tire, and grease and change the oil before my dad would even let me take the car out on my own. I've done my best to keep up with the times. Recently I had my brakes done at Midas (replaced the brake pads and rotors ~$680). Soon afterwards, I went to check my oil, and my coolant reservoir cap was gone and the hose attachments curled up and stuck under a hose close to the radiator. What is the reasoning for that? Midas was the last mechanic to be under the hood. To top it off, they not give me back my old parts? Once my faith has been broken, our mechanical relationship is obviously not going to work. read more

Vehicle owners beware. Was not happy with there service at this location. Long store short was told a problem with my vehicle. They said they found the problem. They ended up not fixing the problem. Said it was something else. So I ended up paying for two service. One that did not fix the problem and the other service did. I had to test drive my own vehicle to see if the problem still occurred. Did not get a phone call to see if my car was done had to go there myself. Management needs to really think about there mechanic's. Or re train them. The only reason I went to this location because of there good reviews on the Midas page. False. Stay far away from this place. Will not be returning. read more

I agree with Jason I. about this Midas... unfortunately I read his post too late! My fiance went to get his car serviced as his car was overheating. We had both taken our cars to Midas for their $30 oil & filter. After many hours of labour at $110 per hour and leaving the car with them from Thursday to Monday the bill came to $3700 for a corroded manifold gasket!!! While the car was at Midas my fiance spoke with our neighbour who is a mechanic (but the shop his farther away so we go to Midas for convenience). He knew exactly what the problem was when described and said his shop would have charged $900!!!! So yes, buyer beware, the mechanics at Midas either don't know what they're doing and have to go fishing around trying to figure it out at your expense or they are complete con artists who will prey on you if they get the chance. Do yourself a huge favour and ask your friends and family for a trustworthy mechanic. We will never go to Midas again. read more
