CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!!! First off, the reviews posted here are mixed between different Midas locations. My review is specifically for the location on 128th street and 137th avenue across from Tamiami Airport. I am sharing my experience with this business in hopes to save many of you a lot of frustration and money! While on a work trip to Miami I took my car into this Midas location due to a check engine light popping up. A few hours after dropping the vehicle off I was told that my car needed 2 sensors to be replaced with a sum of roughly $700. I agreed and went ahead with the repair. I was called to pick up just before they closed that day. I drove the short distance to Country Walk when my check engine light came right back on. The next morning I returned to the location for them to review the work that was done the previous day. This is where it gets interesting! After keeping my car an entire day, I am told that my car was giving them a new error which they believed to be electrical and that the vehicle would need additional work. Weary of course, I asked what the odds were that my vehicle would display the exact same problem it did the day before when I originally brought it in, but that it would be a brand new unrelated problem? In order to save face and pass the blame they responded, I kid you not, that most like feral cats or a wild animal chewed a hole into my wires overnight causing this new error. Realizing we had a reached new levels of incompetence I decided to end the transaction there and take it to another Midas location. When I asked them to please provide me with the original parts that they had "replaced" they told me they could not do so and the only way for them to return them to me is if I had told them I wanted the broken parts before they did the work. At this point my vehicle which was still in operating condition when I delivered it to the shop, was now intermittently sputtering and seeming like it was about to shut off while in motion. I had no choice but to tow the vehicle to the second Midas location at my own expense of course. The second Midas location confirmed that #1. The work they charged me for at the first shop was not done and #2. The work they charged me for was not even the problem with the vehicle. To add insult to injury, the Midas location confirmed that they also significantly overcharged me for the work they were pretending to perform noting that the labor rates were quite inflated had they even done the work. In order to help settle the he said she said between locations, I was instructed by Midas Corporate office to take my vehicle to a VW dealer and let them determine what work needed to be done and what was not necessary. They issued to me a written statement clearly indicating that the sensors I was charged for were never needed and in actuality the problem with the vehicle was a low oil level. So long story short all the car needed from day 1 was oil. Almost $1,500 later between all the shops and the Dealer fees, I was the lucky recipient of the world's most expensive oil change. After 6 weeks of back and forth between the Tamiami location and Midas Consumer relations (useless btw. Each location is independently owned and they just send you back to deal with the individual location!) they have refused to refund the money they stole from me for work they never performed. It took weeks just to get someone to respond. It is a shame to see a business be run so dishonestly and so unprofessionally. Please do yourself the favor and take your car absolutely anywhere else. read more

I've been to this Midas location several times with different cars. It's the location on 128 street and 137 Ave across from Tamiami airport. I've been meaning to write a review for some time now because from the very first visit I was impressed with the quality of the work done and the knowledgable and friendly staff. I have older cars and have been to several mechanics prior, including the dealership and have had problems with the quality of all my past mechanics. I also keep recommending them to friends and family members because of the excellent service. The manager, Sheena, is so sweet, knowledgeable and helpful too. She gives me a big smile and remembers me every time I come in. Victor has worked on all of our cars and I have to say that I haven't been back to the shop in a few months because once he did the repairs, I haven't had any more problems. I will definitely return when I need an oil change or routine maintenance. read more

My Jeep started shaking when reaching 35-45mph. Took it to Midas and after a thorough inspection, the technician pointed out tires had tire rot. The tires were replaced along with a few other items i wanted and the issue was corrected. The young lady at the counter Sheena is amazing. She is a professional and excellent communicator. Sheena and her crew Daniel took care of me and had me in and out in less than an hour on a busy Friday. Both friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The staff here at 137th Ave. in Miami are amazing. Hi George I the manager and Donovan the mechanic have treated us so well. I came in with my elderly parents because they needed their car fixed and they have gone above and beyond to help us out. They were so kind to us and they really showed that they care. I came in for the first time with what seemed like a rock in my tire and the gentlemen helped me in a timely manner, and didn't charge me a thing.
