After agreeing, tacked on an additional 7k, not shown.

My sister-in-law drove 2 hours from West Palm Beach today based on a price she had already negotiated over the phone. As soon as she arrived, the dealership began a series of deceptive moves to hike the price by thousands. First, they added a "mandatory" LoJack fee. Then, they tried to force her to buy $7,000 in junk fees (GAP, warranty, and service plans), claiming she had to buy them to get the car. We have the proof. We kept a full paper trail of the original agreed-upon price and the salesperson's promises. We are submitting this evidence directly to the Florida Attorney General and the FTC as part of a formal investigation. They tried to use the "sunk cost" of her long drive to trap her into a bad deal. If you are a woman or an out-of-town buyer, stay away--they rely on you not being willing to walk away. We did.

I recently drove 1.5 hours to Largo Honda based on an advertised vehicle price of $13,490 and multiple confirmations over the phone/email that the only extra costs would be sales tax, title/registration, and their $1,199 dealer fee. I had my own financing lined up and was prepared for an out-the-door price around $16,200. Here's what actually happened: * When I arrived, I was told the person I'd been speaking with (Bella) wasn't even a salesperson, just an internet lead agent. * After the test drive, the purchase agreement they brought me showed an out-the-door price of ~$20,500. * They added hidden junk fees not disclosed upfront: * "Restoration Fee" $1,599 - supposedly for reconditioning trade-ins. That's their cost of doing business, not mine. * "LoJack/Permaguard Fee" $1,999 - forced add-ons they admitted are put on every car, whether the buyer wants them or not. * When I objected, management doubled down and then claimed their listed prices only apply if you finance through them -- directly contradicting what I was told before I came. In short: the $13,490 listing was bait. By the time they pile on mandatory add-ons and surprise fees, the car costs the same as anywhere else -- except you waste hours driving down there and dealing with high-pressure tactics. I shook their hands, walked out, and will never return. Buyers deserve honesty and transparency, not games and hidden fees. Largo Honda is everything wrong with car dealerships rolled into one.

Avoid this dealer at all costs. They engage in dishonest practices such as bait-and-switch pricing and charging for items and services and then not delivering them. On July 18th, 2025, I went to Largo Honda to test drive a Toyota Tacoma they had advertised a little above $31,000. I arrived around 8:30PM because I was driving up from my home in Key West. I test drove the car and was interested in buying it. I had a trade in that they valued at about $5,500. After negotiating, the sales rep Joseph Medina and I agreed on a price of $29,500 out the door, IF I financed with them. I agreed. Its worth mentioning at this point that amongst the multitude of fees they charge, that price included a LoJack system for $1,998 and a ceramic coating for $999. By this time it was around 9:30pm. It was late, so I wanted to leave a deposit and return the next day to complete the transaction. I had worked all day, and then driven 3.5 hours and hadn't head dinner yet, so I didn't want to stay any later to finish the transaction at that exact moment. They insisted the transaction had to be completed that evening, as the same "deal" would not be available the next day. I begrudgingly agreed. They took me to financing with Dantony Paula. He ran my credit. After approving me at an interest rate that was higher than what my credit union approved me for, he THEN told me the financed amount was OVER $33,000. What happened to the $29,500 out-the-door price the sales rep and I had agreed upon? They had tacked on over $3,000 in GAP and oil change plans that I wasn't interested in. Dantony told me the fees were non-negotiable, but could be canceled. By this time they had run my credit and the hit to my credit was done. I should have walked away from this disaster at this point, but I didn't because I really liked the vehicle, and buying a vehicle in my hometown of Key West is challenging. Dantony insisted the extra fees could be canceled and the amounts would be credited to the loan balance. Also, it worth mentioning that the company that approved my financing was Driveway, which is a financing company owned by the same parent company that owns the dealership. This was never disclosed to me. I finished the transaction close to midnight and the sales rep basically kicked me out. He rushed me while I collected the items from my trade in vehicle, and didn't give me time to take off the accessories even after he'd previously told me I'd be able to. He didn't even fill my gas tank on the new car. He told me to come back on my way back home to Key West so I can grab the accessories from my old truck and he'd fill my gas tank. I came back on Sunday to try and grab the accessories off my old truck. The sales rep wasn't there. I had to speak to the store manager and was able to collect my old truck's accessories. They filled my gas tank and I went home. When I got home, I got an activation code from LoJack. I attempted to use it, only to discover that the LoJack was never installed on my truck. The LoJack app confirmed this. I was charged $1,998 for this. At this point I was very skeptical of all of their fees and supposed services. I tested the paint on the truck. There is no ceramic coating. The purpose of ceramic coating is to make water bead and run off the truck. Water does not do that on the vehicle, so I believe they charged me $999 and also did not provide that service. I called the dealership and told them I wanted the fees for the warranty and oil plan refunded, and the fees for the LoJack that was never installed refunded, and the fees for the ceramic coating refunded as well. I sent a letter to the manager. No one has contacted me to speak on this, or provide any reasonable solutions. Its also worth noting they have still not paid off my trade in vehicle balance, so I have had to make payments on that vehicle that has been in their possession since July 18th. I've also requested the refunds from Driveway Financial for the GAP coverage and oil plan and have not yet received them.

To further prove my point how this dealership does not deserve your business.

I'm so glad I did because... what a great establishment! I am not a car person so I tend to be overly trusting when it comes to mechanics. I know this can be a really bad thing, but I had just moved to the area and was afraid of a car malfunction. I had been worried about my oil and was convinced I needed to get it changed. Armando checked it (then showed me how to check it) and then told me my oil was fine. He could have lied. He could have scammed me. But he didn't. Two months later I went back for my oil change. When I was there he didn't find random things that I "had to fix ASAP" like I've experienced with other mechanics, nor did I wait for hours. Instead, I left a half hour later and he let me know that the slight squeaky sound that I was worried about was my fan belt that could eventually be replaced but "no rush". Great place and honest service! Going back soon for another oil change and an informal inspection!

What I got back was not the same vehicle I dropped off. My Tahoe had brand-new factory wheels and rims. When I picked it up, the technicians had swapped them for old, worn wheels and rims. There is no excuse for this. This is not a "mistake" or "miscommunication" -- this is STEALING, plain and simple. I entrusted their service department with my new vehicle, and instead of professionalism, I was met with dishonesty and blatant misconduct. If technicians feel comfortable swapping parts on a customer's brand-new car, it raises serious questions about how many other customers have been taken advantage of without realizing it. And I have seen many people complaint for the same issue there. I am formally demanding a full investigation into this service department. This dealership should be audited immediately, and management should be held accountable for what happens under their roof. This is a serious breach of trust and possibly CRIMINAL behavior. Until this is resolved, I strongly warn anyone considering buying or servicing a vehicle here: document everything, take photos before and after, and don't assume your car will be returned in the same condition you left it. This is not how a dealership treats customers -- especially ones who just bought a brand-new vehicle from them. Completely unacceptable.

It was a Friday afternoon on Easter weekend so I was expecting to sit for a while. I called Bromnin and Jason the service advisor said to bring it in and they could check it Saturday, but probably couldn't work on it until Tuesday. I took it in on Saturday morning and they actually got right on it saying it should be done by closing. I called before closing and they said they needed parts, so it would be Monday. Right ater the call I got a text that it was complete. Obviously it wasnt so I called Monday and the cashier said it was done. Went in and of course it wasn't. OK, I'm cool with that. But that's where it went downhill. Monday afternoon comes, no call. Left a message for the service writer, no call back. Tuesday morning I go in, not ready yet- doing a regen and he'll call. No call back. Tuesday afternoon, no call back. Went in and the service manager, John, actually said they shouldnt have started work on Saturday because he needed all his teks on oil changes! Wednesday morning, I go in again- Not ready, He'll call. Guess what, no call back. Finally got a message Wednesday that they needed another part. Since I couldnt get a call back, I went in every morning and every evening. No info. No call backs. Saturday comes and they need another part. If you get the drift by now, the service department tek works on it but no one else knows whats going on, because the truck is still marked as done. The service advisor will not return calls. So were stuck paying daily rates on place to stay and rental car. I could have just paid weekly rate if I had only had a little more info. All we really needed was information. I'm very appreciative that they started right on it, and I can't blame the teks. I understand how not everything shows up on the initial eval and more stuff needs to be done. But seriously! Make a damn phone call! I wouldn't be writing this review now if I just got some call backs with the info I needed. But I had to go in every day, morning and evening just to be told it wasnt ready. This review would have been 4 or 5 stars if the service writer would have just done what he said he would and call back! But at least it's finally fixed. Never again.
