If I could give them 0 stars I would. I used to love this shop. The previous manager Andrew was always straight up about what was wrong with my car, what needed to be done immediately and what could wait until I had more funds. He was great. From what I've been told he got a promotion (well deserved). The new manager is crook. I had my oil changed and they gave me a long list of things that needed to be done. Not super unusual for my car. When I asked them to break it down like the previous manager, the 2 most "important" issues came out to 3,000$. That immediately raised flags for me. I've had 2 other shops check my car since then. Neither of those 2 "important" issues came up as problems. The issues that did come up at both shops were consistent with eachother and actual safety concerns. The new manager is crook whos trying to squeeze money out of people and is overlooking real safety concerns in the name of getting paid more. I have been going to this Midas for years and other locations for years before that but I will not be returning to any of them. read more

I had exhaust and muffler replaced on my Moms car. There was no appointment. I drove in and they took care of me immediately. I was treated excellent within an hour and a half car was repaired! I will be back. read more

Two weeks after they rebalanced the new tires they had installed, my Tire Pressure indicator was still on. I drive highways to work so I checked the pressure myself and found one of the tires was at 17lbs. I sprayed the tire and stem with soapy water and found the valve stems were not replaced with the new tires and the valve on one tire was leaking. The contract says the tire replacement includes stem replacement. They didn't ask me if I wanted the sensors checked or replaced but did add a note that I had declined that service. I would not recommend taking a vehicle to them. read more

Stay away from the Midas in Marlborough, The price markup they do on parts is outrageous They put Rebuilt Advance auto parts rear calipers on my car, the price at Advance is 181dollars,the charged me 289 per caliper,(plus labor) i asked for my old ones back and they said they would charge me 50 dollars each as the get a 65 dollar core refund back on each one,making there price 116 per caliper,Other prts that were also put in were marked up over 159 dollars each.The manager (Michael) was combative and said thats just the way it is,This place was so much better when Mustang Mike was there,This will be forwarded to corporate as wall as the BBB,Not to mention they broke parts during install so the car had to sit over the weekend, read more

I visited this Midas when I felt my muffler was failing. I asked if that was the problem and they said it was and also that I needed to have my spark plugs replaced, cooling system flush and fill package, and a 3 part fuel system service package because those things were recommended at 100,000 miles. I asked twice if they had looked at those items to see if I needed them and especially the spark plugs since I had recently had work done on my car. They did not answer my question and I let it ride because the muffler was my main issue and I had just returned from my brother's funeral and just didn't want to fight over it. I just wanted the muffler done and to go home. I was exhausted and I am a 74-year-old woman who knows nothing about cars. They did all the work and I had a bill for over a thousand dollars when all I really needed was the muffler. When I got home I checked a previous car work bill from another auto place dated 8/18/2022 in which they had replaced my spark plugs, did a coolant service and transmission drain and fill. The date Midas performed their service was only a month and a half later ((9/30/2022)! I went into Midas to complain that they had done unnecessary work on my car. I was told the manager would get back to me and they made a copy of my prior auto work done by the other company for the manager. No one has called me back and that was over two weeks ago! I feel they did not listen to me and that they took advantage of my age and lack of knowledge to perform unnecessary work and I am very unhappy. I asked for a refund and it was not given to me and I have not heard from them again. This is not the way to treat one's customers if they expect repeat customers. I will not be returning and I will continue to fight for the refund I deserve! read more

The mechanics have been seen going through cars smoking marijuana out back and the smell of another drug coming from the bathroom which a mechanic was seen exiting looking weird and guilty afterwards. I went to this Midas for an oil change. The manger of the store was the one who helped me and he charged me an extra $ 25 for a labor charge. I thought it was a lot but I paid it. It wasn't until I looked at my receipt that I noticed the additional $25. I went back to the counter and told the guy that it was a lot and that he shouldn't have charged me the additional $25. I asked the guy to give me my money back and he said I couldn't get my money back because I had already paid it. I feel like he used the fact that I was a woman and wouldn't know. Be carful because if you don't know a lot about cars this guy will take advantage of you! read more

I went in for a diagnostic for a electrical leak and for them to check my master cylinder which was clearly the problem. The photo attached the oil they splashed on my tire and told me there was a leak. Now i'm no rocket scientist but how is there oil on the outside of my tire when the "leak" they "found" was on my caliper?? Do not come here for any of your problems, they will scam you. read more

I used Midas for servicing my 2008 Jeep Liberty. I knew there were hardware issues with shocks and rear brakes. I did not have an appointment, but they were able to make the needed repairs in about 2.5 hours. Repairs included replacing 4 shocks, front coils, struts and rear brakes. They needed to remove my battery to access the front struts, so they cleaned my battery posts which were showing signs of corrosion. While my jeep was on the rack, the technician pointed out rust and corrosion on the exhaust pipes and muffler. He indicated that they were ok for now, but may need to be replaced in the next year or two. Very professional service and competitive costs ($1,100). read more

They might do good work but their appointments mean nothing. Got 2 appointments for 2 cars first thing in the morning. Went there and waited 3+ hrs. I kind of get if its in the middle of the day, but first thing in the morning? I don't know. The check in person seemed kind of grumpy, like it was my fault. They took a look and said everything looked fine and nothing was wrong. 2 weeks later I failed inspection because of an exhaust issue. I came here today for the first time after seeing an oil change and car rotation special for $24.99. My light had been flashing and I had some spare time. They were quick, super friendly and had good single serve coffee available. I was in and out in about 20 minutes after they also checked up on tires, brakes and transmission fluid amongst other things. I'll absolutely be back. read more

My car was making the horrible noise usualy accompanied by a bad muffler/exhaust system. I went in hoping it could be repaired and not be an expensive replacement. The staff were all polite and helpful. I have been to places before where I felt they were over charging and doing unnecesary work. That was not the case here they were honest and more than fair- my fix only cost $50 - it was simply loose bolts. They have earned my future business. read more
