I recently visited this Midas location while traveling because my check engine light came on. I was quoted an estimated wait time of about 2 hours for the repair. Unfortunately, the repair ended up taking an additional 1.5 hours because the parts that arrived were incorrect or defective. I wished they had called me as soon as they found out about the delay. I understand that mistakes can happen and that the parts supplier may have been responsible. My disappointment wasn't the delay itself per se--it was how the situation was handled. The unexpected delay forced me to change my plans for the day. I politely asked whether they could offer any type of courtesy credit or even a coupon toward a future service in recognition of the inconvenience. The owner declined, stating that it "was not our fault" because the issue was with the parts supplier. While that may be true, as the customer, I chose Midas--not the parts supplier. I wasn't asking them to accept blame for the supplier's mistake; I was hoping they would show some goodwill for the significant inconvenience caused during my visit. The repair itself appears to have been completed successfully, and I appreciate the technicians' work. However, customer service is about how a business responds when things don't go as planned. In this case, I left feeling that my time and inconvenience were not valued. It was my first time using Midas. Unfortunately it may be my last one. So much for the Midas touch. read more

Honestly, I was pretty surprised at the service that I got here. I made a reservation appointment and was a little peeved when I arrived at 9:00 a.m. And they were not open and the person wasn't there until about 9:10. Although she was very nice and told me that the texts were running late, the waiting area was clean and had coffee which helped out. When she rang me up, she offered me to get $5 off by leaving them a five-star review on Google, which I don't 100% agree with ethically but I get why they're doing it. The tech informed me that they could find nothing wrong with my car except for a leaking windshield wiper fluid box which I already knew about so they were pretty honest and rated everything else fine which I knew was fine and didn't try to say that I needed an air filter like most places do when I replace them on my own every single year. January 12, 2023 - My apologies I was supposed to write this review on January 7, 2023 when we did receive service. Unfortunately due to some health issues, I had to wait to write my first review. I was so excited because our year started with a few bumps, but it's much better now. This store, was recommended to us and I appreciate great recommendations. Thanks to a broken foot and stick shift that is what brought us here. January 4, 2023, my other half broke his foot at work and his truck is stick shift (there are not many people that can drive these vehicles). I had told him before that it was hard to shift because the gears were sticking. On top of that issue one of the tires had a slow leak, that's another story. January 6, 2023 we went to this location to see if they could help us and yay they did. Tim the Manager was such a great help and so knowledgeable. We did have to wait because the lift that was needed was being used. Long story short, they are trustworthy, reliable, honest and caring, yes, meaning they wouldn't want the people they care about to be unsafe and spend unnecessary money on things that can be fixed at a different time. I saw a family oriented environment and very organized and respectful. They take the time to explain anything regarding your vehicle, if they see other issues they explain options and try to help you see what would work best for you. I was able to meet one of the owners and the district manager (female), she was out there helping the guys. Their objective is to reach their sales quota. When I addressed the manager and mechanic about their ability to be proficient with my car, they started using profanity and did not take ownership of their mistakes. Instead, the manager blamed his circumstances and left me with an expensive bill. The owner could not explain why her mechanics had begun working before giving a diagnostic. They removed the sensor but lied to me and told me the tpsm light on the dash would go away after driving 50 miles. I brought it to this location and Nick was very helpful and honest in helping me get a new sensor under warranty. He told me they have one person coming to this location a week with problems about their car from that location. Do not go to the location on Nellis, this one is great! read more

This place is worst they did not telling you the price( estimates ), they tell you after they fixed. my trailer was not open closed properly and the trailer frame (seal) was need to change, the part price was 350$ and labor 16hrs. For one hour $130.00. I dropped off my trailer Friday afternoon they just ordered the part. They are closed Saturday and Sunday, Monday they started Tuesday 10:00 am they told me it is ready. I came here to get an Uber inspection. The receptionist insisted that my car was too old despite what the Uber website says, and acted very discontent about doing the inspection. I guess they didn't see an opportunity to charge me an arm and a leg so they saw me as a nuisance.. that's my guess so out the door I went a potential customer. I drove down here after calling ahead just to waste my time. I don't understand why they would want Miss Bah humbug to be the first face customer saw. This is why I don't like these chain store mechanics because they treat you like you're in Walmart. So I went straight to the Uber inspection station on Decatur and they passed my car without issue. Got an oil change done today and they did their multipoint inspection. Said I needed to replace rear brake pads and rotors. They said the rotors on this type of vehicle come so thin it was not possible to resurface them. I believed them and scheduled an appointment. Then I went to CardinaleWay Dealership and had them give me the same inspection. Rep came back saying my rear pads were still at 7mm's and I had a few months before I really needed to replace them (at around 3-4mm's). They also said the rotors can be resurfaced a few times before replacing. So who do I trust? The dealership or Midas? I will be canceling my appointment and will do more reviews before I commit to any more services. Always get a second opinion as if I would have done my appointment, it would of costed me almost 500 extra bucks. Dealership was only 250 without the rotors replaced. read more

I have never left a bad review in my life, but I honestly can't believe what happened at this shop. My car started acting up, so I took it to Midas on E Tropicana. They gave me an estimate of $2250 to repair. I decided to get a second opinion on it, and a great shop down the road told me they could repair everything for $800! I'm in shock that the mechanics here would try to take advantage of me like this. Also, I told them not to work on my car and when I arrived early to take it back they had my hood open and were filling it with something. I repeated that I asked them not to work on it and they seemed caught off guard that I was there, angry, and were acting extremely sketchy. New management is awful. My husband went to get an oil change for my car because this used to be our favorite location. Now it's run by short kid with a small man's complex. They talked him into getting an additive out into the oil said that it had to be delivered. He left for awhile then came back and waited. The person delivered the additive while the kid and a few techs were at the counter socializing then awhile later our car was parked in front and the keys were set on the counter. Nobody paid attention and they kept socializing so finally after 20 minutes he asked if the car was ready because it was still parked in front with the keys on the counter. The guy said yes then he said the additive was never put in so the dude got an attitude and said they'd have to pull the car back in and release some oil to add it. Not wanting to wait and visibly irritated my husband told them to forget it. As he should why would we want to wait longer than he already had in a place that clearly can't afford to pay attention. The little short stack ended up saying that my husband was no longer welcome back for being RIGHTFULLY angry for this location having such awful customer service. Long story long go to another Midas. I took my car to the midas located at 2797 E Tropicana and had one of the best experiences EVER dealing with an auto shop. I went to have my car checked for a exhaust leak. The business is family owned and the husband and wife delivered amazing customer service, very nice people. They checked my car out for me for no charge, which is never heard of anymore. I must say it's the first time I've been walked through and showed my car, they didn't try and up sell me on things that didn't need fixing ( like everywhere else) and wouldn't even take the tip they more than deserved. Not to mention finding out great prices for my oil changes and the list could really go on. I'm a novice when it comes to vehicles and for me they performed a miracle on my car. I had been driving worried for some time now with my tire pressure always on. In the back of my head thinking something was wrong with my tires or worse, the structure of the tire area of my vehicle. I wasn't trusting my own car anymore. Do not ever use this place. This Midas goes through different management every few months. They then claim that they are not responsible for anything prior to the new management. I have received numerous services here including front and back brakes with the lifetime warranty (or so they say) and a 60,000 mile full service. I had some warranty services done at the Infiniti dealership after my tune up at Midas. The dealership pointed out that Midas had replaced my factory clamp on my radiator hose with an aftermarket clamp. They actually pushed the factory clamp out of the way (still on the hose!) to install the aftermarket. They ended up over tightening the hose and it cut through causing possible leakage in the future. I went back to show them their mistake and their answer was that they didn't even touch the hose. How do you not flush the radiator fluids when doing a full 60,000 mile service?!?! They claimed that they didn't do it because they didn't charge or write me up for it, so they will not fix their faulty work. They also stated that I didn't get my brakes done there so that they will not honor my lifetime warranty on rear brakes. This place is a joke!! Do not go here!! Midas, on E. Tropicana in Las Vegas is the place to go for Sure! This is a truely Honest Auto Repair. The manager Mike and his mechanics and office girl Haley go out of their way to make sure nothing is missed on your car. Justin worked on my car. Very polite man. I came in there with paperwork from 2 different Firestone. The 1st was on Cave Creek in Phoenix AZ. I took my car in for an oil change in December. They said I needed repairs totaling $1,298.60. Front struts. My car had 66,000 miles. Last week I took it into another Firestone Dealer on E. Union Hills, for a tire that kept loosing air. Their computers are hooked so now they try to sell me on the front Strutts and say my tires are separating and I need 2 new tires on the back. I left there thinking the nail in the tire was fixed, a $10 fee. I drove to Las Vegas, about 130 miles out my light comes on "mechanical required". I prayed to not break down. Saw a MIDAS Dealer driving in on E. Tropicana. I went there. As he manager Mike had his mechanic Justin checking out the car head to toe and every tire for separation. He was reading all the work that Firestone said I needed. He said "if you need struts replaced I will be very surprised". "Struts usually go around 100,000 to 105,000...Not 70,000!" Come to find out the only thing the car needed was a nail taken out of the tire that Firestone risked my life by leaving the nail in while I drove across the desert alone with the nail they Did Not take out and repair! So DO NOT trust Firestone...they will rip you off with lies! If you are ever in need of Auto Repairs in Las Vegas Definitely Go see Mike and his crew onE . Tropicana at MIDAS! MIDAS HAS HONEST PEOPLE! They fixed the nail in the tire and it cost me a hand shake and smile! read more
