I had made an appointment to have my oil changed. I arrived promptly on time. The service tech, Fred, told me it was going to be roughly an hour and a half. When I stated that I had an appointment, I was then told by the other service tech that there were others ahead of me who had appointments also. Fred walked towards the shop area, said my type of car took longer, said something rude under his breath, and walked away. I called the Grease Monkey 1 mile away, and they were so kind and told me they could get me in right away. Again, Fred was rude and arrogant when I asked for my keys back. 20 minutes in and out at Grease Monkey, I was treated with kindness and concern. I will never go back to this Midas. read more

This is the second time I've gone to this location for an oil change and regular maintenance services. The staff was friendly and I got an appointment within the next day after calling in, however they tried to upsell me $70 for replacing my air filter which is outrageous and a complete scam. I had a great experience my first time, but the fact that they are trying to exploit women to pay that much for a $20 air filter you can get at AutoZone is disgusting. read more

Employees at this facility are extremely pushy and cannot take "no" for an answer. I was told my car needed a $60 oil cap & I politely declined, knowing that this cap is only $10 at autozone. After I had declined literally 2 other customers in the room said "good call!" in declining this overpriced cap, applauding me in the fact that I had said NO. When receiving my statement I was told that the oil cap was put on and that I was charged for the service. When stating that I declined this service employee said "well they already put it on"..??? Okay?? Take it off as I specifically said NO. Fred, the man who originally asked if I had wanted it or not said "oh, I thought you said yes"... ??????????????????? No means NO. No does not mean yes. "IT'S OUR JOB TO UPSELL" This location has gone down hill in the last 2 years, I noticed today that there does seem to be a new owner/Manager. I have stopped doing business with them about as of February 2024, I was in for a routine oil change and asked them to look at my serpentine belt as it had been squealing and usually it just needs to be tightened as my vehicle doesn't maintain tension super well (known flaw). They claimed that they could not tighten the belt as it's impossible and just needed to be replaced. I mentioned the shop across the street has no problem tightening it and it does not yet need to be replaced. I also overheard a fill in Manager and a customer discussing how pointless it is that they cannot charge several hundred dollars for oil changes due to being part of a chain. The oil change coupons put them in a deficit as well and should not be permitted. I purchased an alignment package with a 3 year warranty in August 2023 and this is the only reason I went back today. I scheduled an appointment and when I showed up I wasn't on the schedule, coincidentally the individual I scheduled with was the one i was checking in with. She tried to blame someone else and said oh I guess I accidentally scheduled you for tomorrow. I said that's not going to work she said she could fit me in. I waited 3 hours and they tried to tell me I needed additional services I mentioned I was at a different shop the day before and handled everything I needed to have done. The technician seemed hurt and said why wouldn't you come to us? I explained I had had enough of the upselling that they feel the need to try to do. He was speechless and finally responded with "IT"S OUR JOB TO UPSELL". I will also mention there was a waiting room FULL of people. I told him no it's not you should be upfront and honest and promptly left. After one of the other customers picked her jaw up off the ground she said well I guess at least he's being transparent. read more

Don't ever go here! I set up an appointment for 11:00am for a simple oil change. At 12:05pm they had not even taken it in. Not even started. Why set up an appointment??? Please, save your self the time. They never even picked up my key for an hour when I had an appointment set. Oil changes take 20 minutes and I waited an hour for nothing. My son had his oil changed here before a road trip. The car got stuck on their non-operating lift and he had to wait an extra day to leave on his trip. They gave him $20 off the oil change for his inconvenience but also managed to sell him a $99.99 B.S. gas/engine treatment of some sort. (That's on him -- he's learned now.) On December 29 he was driving back to Colorado from California and in the middle of Nowhere, Utah his oil plug popped out and all the oil ran out of the engine! He and his brother had to be towed 50 miles ($250 after AAA coverage), and as they arrived back in Richfield, Utah after closing on a Saturday night, they were stranded for two nights in a hotel until the repair shop opened again on Monday morning. Fortunately, the engine was not damaged, as my son had pulled over the instant they heard something pop under the car. The plug and oil were replaced, and they were able to get home later that day. The one star for this review is for the Midas district manager Ian who, after I filed a complaint, reimbursed us the $500+ we spent less than 24 hours after I sent him the receipts. Had I been able to provide receipts for the food my sons had to buy during their two days in the hotel, I'm sure he would have covered it, too. Without Ian's assistance, this would be a zero-star review. There is absolutely NO excuse for any auto repair place to be unable to complete a simple oil change correctly. This incident could have ended very badly with a destroyed engine, a car accident, or a fire. After being treated so well by the district manager I hesitated to write a bad review, but the good work by the DM wouldn't have been necessary had this particular store done the work correctly. We take our cars there no matter what the problem is, and always feel confident we won't be taken advantage of. The Regional Manager, Ian, explains what's wrong, and how best to fix it for the least amount of money. If the work or part doesn't hold up to the warranty, (unfortunately we've had that happen once), they are more than happy to redo it for free! 0 stars for these guys. They do the worst work ever and ended up wasting a bunch of my time. I paid dearly for the timing belt replacement. I was promised would take 1 day but this turned into three. I recently was getting ready to change oil and saw that the serpentine belt was rubbing on a pipe, after further examination found that they had not connected the anchor for the pipe when putting things back together. I took it back to them and he says just leave it with me and I'll fix it. I get my bike and leave it with them 2 hours later they call and say we don't have a bolt so you will need to bring it back again. Who is paying for my time? Completely inept. I will never go back and would advise not taking your car here unless you like headaches. read more

*BUYER BEWARE* Took my car in for a simple alignment. I was then quoted over $1,200 for other repairs. I couldn't afford it right then so then salesman (not mechanic) began trying to get me to sign up for their financing. He proceeded to unacceptably and uncomfortably pressure me into signing up or calling a family member to do it for me. I refused and took my car elsewhere for a second opinion. The other shop quoted me far less and said that the repairs Midas mentioned weren't even correct. Idk about all of them but this store is run by money grubbing fat cats. read more

My wife took her car to this Midas location due to an oil leak. Per the paperwork they did all the normal checks like battery, brakes etc. and they did fix the leak. Got charged just under $600 which seemed high but hey gotta get it fixed. 1 day after she got the car back I got a phone call from her saying her car won't start and she is stuck with our nephew in a parking lot. When I arrived to jump the car and opened the hood I found that the red battery cable was completely off the terminal? Also the rod to hold the hood up, the bracket was missing and it pulled right out? Being 8pm at night with not much light was able to push it back on and had my wife drive carefully back home on side streets with me following her. The next day I came home from work on lunch break to see what was going on. It was at that time that I noticed the bolt to tighten the clamp was completely stripped and when I tried to tighten it, it broke off. It was also at that time I found that the engine cover was loose and moving around. Now they forgot to attach the cover back on whatever they were doing? Called Midas to tell them what happened and ask for some $$ back. Manager Fred said he would but we need to bring the car back. It's unsafe to drive, and frankly do not want any of their mechanics touching this car again. Fred refused if we don't bring it in. He told my wife it was just coincidence that the cable was loose which is hard to believe since no one else besides Midas even opened the hood within the 2 days. Cannot understand how a car can be released without everything put back together. Total incompetence Will NEVER go to this location again, I do not recommend it to anyone! They won't admit mistakes, won't help out a customer, and now I am stuck trying to figure this out. Will take it anywhere but Midas to get this fixed. Fred, if you are reading this here's your proof and you need to learn better customer service. What if your wife's life was put in jeopardy due to this, how would you feel? To the ownership. You need to teach the front office staff about how a calendar works and customer service. If you have a customer come in To get an oil change telling him you can do it. Then four hours later when the customer calls and still not having it done, you have a problem. An oil change and a customer that leave the vehicle may not be a priority, but four hours for an oil change??? It was obvious that after my phone call, they said,oh crap, and tried to rush getting it done. They then proceeded to tell me they had appointments. I would have respected them more if they would have been honest with me, and just try to schedule something immediately. It's all about service and unfortunately I'm back to searching for an auto shop. My co-worker who does not have yelp, told me about her experience at this location and the story was so ridiculous I had to write a review. She's gone there a few times and we don't make a lot of money where I work so I could understand when she said she could only afford to fix things that were actually broken on her car. At her last visit they recommended replacing the fuel pump which she decided against since the engine seemed to be running fine. Shortly after the visit her heater stopped working. She didn't need the heater until recently and now that the weather is turning called in to schedule an appointment to have the heater looked at. She was actually belittled by the employee who took the call and was told that they previously rec commend that she have her car fixed and she didn't. She said she couldn't afford it at the time and didn't see how a fuel pump could affect the heater/defrost working. He insisted that it was because she didn't pay for every recommendation they made at a prior visit and told her she was fired as a customer. So much for customer service! read more

Lied about services needed. I was told my tires were all "bald as racing slicks" at 2/32 inch. I went to Go Green Tires and sold the tires, owner said they were all between 5/32 and 6/32 (which I confirmed with a tread-depth gauge I bought). The worst part is, these guys seemed cool and we chatted a while. Just proves not to use a mechanic unless you have reviews talking about HONESTY. **Follow up** After placing a complaint on the midas website I did hear back from the owner direct. My husband and I just moved here from CA. Not used to the winter and apparently living in CA they mix coolant and water to the mixture, cause it doesn't get cold out here. Yeah, living in CO whole different ball game. Our truck decided to over heat and the water and coolant mixer was crazy hot hot. We came in to expect a hot mess of a bill. Rick ( Assistant Manager) amazing customer service, amazing person over all. He told us what he thought was wrong with the truck after my husband showed pictures he explained. Come to find out the truck needed a new radiator cap and a coolant flush. Rick has AWESOME customer service, honest and straight to the point. Employees are helpful-- if you can ever get a hold of one. Spent about five minutes waiting at the front desk to be assisted, and had to call the location's phone for somebody to come to the front desk. Also called about three times around 9:15 (you open at 7:30 where are your employees?????) and was prompted to enter an access code. Location is either understaffed, or employees don't want to do their job. It's fine tho it's not like I need my car to drive my husband to work or get to my own job, it's perfectly fine to make me wait for my own car and not answer my calls. I'm writing this review for my client. She has been taking her car to this Midas location for many years now & she has always received superb service from them! If they have to keep your car for awhile, they will take you/drop you off where you need to go so you don't have to wait at the store. My client had a dead battery in her car & they even came out to her house to check out her car for her & then fixed it for her! They have wonderful customer service right when you walk in the door! They make sure you are taken care of from start to finish! Even the mechanics explain things to you in a way you can understand...and they even show you (on your car) what they are talking about. My client won't take her car anywhere else but to this Midas location whenever she needs something done to her car from a oil change to new tires to anything major. They are honest people! 03-17-2021 @ 10:45 am I had a warning show up in my 2013 Ford Escape that I hadn't seen before. Gave this Midas a call and spoke with Hayden, he was very knowledgeable and helpful during our phone call knowing exactly what the warning meant (it was a rear brake light out) and was even able to give me an estimate for the cost ($10) upon my arrival Hayden came out to my car to look at the light and said "I can handle this for you no problem!" Jordan was the mechanic who came out and replaced my light I enjoyed my conversation with them! All of the staff was friendly and attentive! I spend a whole 5-7 minutes for my whole process! Midas on Wadsworth is incredible! We were at a gas station nearby trying to fill our tires up when the sensor and cap came shooting out and air quickly escaped our tire-it became instantly flat. We couldn't fill up our tire because the whole sensor pin broke! So we ran to Midas and they said they could give us a temporary replacement for 20$! They were packed full busy so the guy in the counter rushed to our car with a jack and removed the tire, took it back, filled it up and put a new rubber cap on there! He was so nice and didn't want to charge us the fee. We will definitely be back as paying customers! read more

Passing by, pulled in to see if I could get a quick oil change. They were busy so the super nice manager Robin said he could do it within an hour. Unfortunately I was in a rush and didn't have that kind of time. Then the district manager Ian who happened to be there said, "I can do it!" And he knocked it out in his nice work clothes. Horrible place . Rick is a nice guy but they hack the prices up, lie to you , and all around are just a shadyyyyyy ass shop. Quoted me 200 dollars more for spark plugs than anywhere else and 1-5 more hours . I got my brakes done by them with a warranty and when I took my car back in to check the brakes Rick told me I had plenty of brake left and I was nowhere near 5mm. I measured myself and took it to groove Subaru to confirm , they both are at 5mm and could be taken in for warranty . But I wasn't told that so that could sell me a more expensive job/ repair . Tires here ? Almost 500 more than discount tire co for shittier tires. They also signed me up for a credit card I never authorized and refuse to return my calls about the matter . If you want an honest shop do not deal with these people . Take my advice . read more
