They don't give a damn about your time. Went in for an oil change as a Rent-a-car customer. Let them know I am already in a bind as the rental car company should've dealt with this. They assured me I was first in line and that it would only be about 20 minutes. As the only customer there, I believed them. Welp 40 minutes in, I asked for an ETA. Front desk employee, Mike, said "should be done any minute now" and one of the 4 employees standing around doing nothing went to check on it. They came back and let me know they just lifted it up and it should be 20 minutes... safe to say they completely forgot about me. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place. read more

Allen was a top-shelf professional. I had the transmission cooling lines fail on my truck while on a hunting trip and Midas was the only shop available. They got the replacement assembly expedited and I was back in the mountains the next day. Not to mention that Allen personally drove an hour and a half round trip to retrieve a component for the installation to be complete. Price was fair given the circumstances and components. BEAWARE!! I stop by, to get my A/C check for $120. They give me an estimate for $850 repair, on a bill witch I still have!! Need to replace a couple hoses?! I paid the $120 and walk away. Few days later I went to GJ, and for $150, they fix my A/C, and only replace a couple "switches. (Hoses where like new) So , I come back to the shop and ask for a refund , for "faulty diagnosis ". They won't budge, and tell me "I was suppose to come back, to located the leak". Liar!! Why did they give me a bill for $850, then? Plus, they charge almost $5/oz for freon, when other shop charge $1.25/oz, if you have a big car , do you math:( I dodge the bullet!!! Really be AWARE of these crooks!!! read more

This is my second review on this location. I started going to this Midas at the beginning of 2018. Originally because my friend Miles worked there. I still go here to get my oil changed and tires rotated even though he has left and even with one not so nice experience. I originally gave this location 2 stars in July of 2018 when a mechanic, Will, was rude to me about when my car would be done (photo attached to see original review). I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to make it across the street in time to get my windshield replaced. Though I gave 2 stars I still go there! I'm happy I do! The front desk is now accompanied by a very nice gentleman named Tino, always very friendly and informative. He gives me advice on what I should do with my car. I'm literally so clueless on cars!! I have been informed that the mechanic Will who I avoided talking to no longer works there! Though I continued to go after my experience I will keep using this location for my car needs!! read more

I would give no stars if this didn't force me to give any! I went into Midas to get a diagnosis of what was wrong with my A/C and was told it would be $100 for the diagnosis. After being diagnosed I was told it was going to be over $1000 fix. For me that was too expensive and did not want to have my blower motor fixed there. I asked them to put it all back together and they said that it would be $189 to finish putting it back how it was because "my hour was up" even though it was originally agreed to be $100 for the diagnosis. DO NOT GO HERE!!! The employee helping me, Will, was so rude and using curse words! Very disrespectful and unprofessial!!! I took my car there yesterday to get an alignment. Something I will never do again. It took 4 hours for it to be done. I was told over the phone that it shouldn't take to long when I had called the day before so I arrived plenty of hours before I had to go to work. I arrived at the shop at 1:15ish and they pulled my car in about 1:30. Though the gentlemen up front was very nice and tried his best to help me out. Every time I asked how much longer the mechanics always said oh just another 20 minutes. Just another 20 minutes. Which caused me to be 2 hours late to my job. Toward the end of my experience one of the mechanics walked into the waiting area and the gentlemen up front asked if they were done and the guy replied oh we found a piece is bent. Which like the gentlemen up front asked and another guest in the waiting area both asked. "Why didn't you find that durning the inspection" So never take your car there. This place is great. I was up there on vacation last weekend and had a serious oil leak develop just as I rolled into town (2011 KIA Sorento). I went to this store and these guys fixed my car in one day and they went above and beyond with customer service. These guys not only fixed my car but saved the vacation as I was afraid I would need to tow the car to either Denver or Grand Junction for repair. I highly recommend this shop!!!! read more

I came from out of town and needed a tire fixed. They told me I was first in line but it would be an hour wait. Makes no sense. Then the two workers left to go take a smoke break while my keys were still just sitting on the counter. They also have an excessive fee for a diagnostic. Highly suggest you drive down the street to discount tire! Zero costumer service and they didn't seem to know anything about their job as the two guys were arguing over a part. read more

We spent $2500 on front end work that they talked us into and the truck only made it 4000 miles before We had to invest another $1700 to fix a problem that their inferior service caused. The manager is unprofessional and if you do not agree with his repairs, he will think nothing of holding your vehicle hostage until you come up with the cash to pay it! Have to give one star to be able to write a review. Do not take your vehicle here! Years ago they ripped me off, then last year took advantage of my daughter before I could tell her to go elsewhere. This year my son, who works with the old folks home, here in Glenwood, took the old folks bus in for brakes. They quoted that he needed 2500$ worth of work. New rotors, all brakes on both axles, tranny flush, brake flush, the list goes on! We took it to Ford and they did their diagnosis. Just needs new front brakes. 400$ out the door. Thanks a lot Midas for trying to rip off an old folks home. And kudos to Ford. I was towed in at 10am this morning needing a new tire and oil change. I was clear I needed my car and would wait. I was told there were a few people in front of me and I could grab breakfast next door. When I returned my car was untouched so I sat inside. One mechanic came out reached for my keys and said "Oh I don't think we have a tire". Why would I wait an hour and a half before finding this out??? Shouldn't an inspection of my car be done when I checked in? Disrespecting people's time is inexcusable. I am now waiting on a second tow to someone who can help me! I have got to hand it to Midas for being friendly and not making me feel like I'm getting ripped off. I recently came in on Saturday expecting to get my oil changed quickly- Ha! There was a line out the door and they said it would be several hours. I had a coupon for $19.99 which included tire rotation so I wanted to use it here. When they said it would be several hours, they recommended a few competitors to try- I called each one and oil changes started around $50-60...no thanks. So I came back in on Monday to Midas and they got me right in. They explained several things that need to be done but were absolutely not pushy when I said "not today." They just printed up a recommendation list to take with me. Their regular oil changes without the coupon are around $35 (extremely reasonable). I was out of there within 45 minutes with my tires rotated and fresh oil. Best of all they do not treat me like an idiot as a female, as some car places (especially chains) are known to do. They definitely treat you with respect here. I will definitely be coming back in. read more

Go somewhere else. So I go to Midas here in Glenwood Springs because, well, they are a muffler shop. I'm a local. I asked for an estimate to replace about 3' of exhaust pipe behind an OEM muffler I installed 2 years ago. The dude behind the counter, a scraggly, unprofessional type whom I can only assume was unfortunately in a management position, proceeded to tell me he had to put it on the rack so he wouldn't have to crawl under it. "Fair enough," I said, "but you can lean over a bit and behind the right rear tire see what I need, about 3 feet of pipe." So he gets pissy, slams some kind of tool down and some paperwork, and said in a pretty rough tone, "fine, let's take a look at your precious vehicle." He goes out, immediately crawls under the vehicle and proceeds to tell me everything that is wrong with it. News flash, Mr. Customer Service, There is absolutely nothing wrong except 3 feet of bad pipe at the end. THEN, proceeds to tell me it will be about $175 for the pipe and a hanger. News Flash, Mr. Personality. I can purchase a complete exhaust system, OEM original, for $200. It became very apparent he didn't desire my business. I hope you, too, will consider going elsewhere if you live in GWS and need work done on your vehicle. read more

Arrived 8:15 and told them I was in for a muffler, catalytic converter and pipes. I was told it would be a while. Came back about an hour later and was told it would be a couple hours before they could look at it. Came back almost 3 hrs later and was told I was next up. After an hour I was given the estimate which was double what I was offered in Denver 3 weeks ago and was informed they would need to order the parts and could not do the work today. Disappointing. Brought my 99 Jeep Wrangler in at 7:35am for a front end alignment, was told "one car in front of you, should be one to two hours". Three hours later, I called and was told " you are next up, should be about an hour". One and a half hours later, I called again an was told "should be done in ten to fifteen minutes". I went down to the shop 45 minutes later, found my jeep was still sitting where I parked it, untouched. They quickly brought it in to check it out. Found I had a worn Trackbar. They offered to replace it with an OEM equivalent for $108.00 for the bar, and $100 or so for labor. This part is readily available for $37.50 to $65.00! And is an easy install. So, I feel I was mislead and strung along for over six hours, only to be offered a gouging. Luckily I'm a local, so I wasn't trapped. Very, very disappointing. read more

Got out of backpacking in the Mts at 4:30 pm brakes were noisy so took the Tahoe to Midas said it would be the next day before repair finished because they close at 6. We needed to leave early the next mourning do they stayed late and did the repair (the rear brakes were metal on metal) so we were able to leave as scheduled. Great Job. read more
