Never coming back here. Couldn't get the oil I wanted and they wouldn't honor their coupon for free tire rotation. Instead, tried to sell me new tires to replace the ones with less then 24,000 miles. I wondered why this place was empty, now I know. This contradicts what the customer service team told me: Follow-up (at least 12 different sites) Using full synthetic oil costs about 30% more than using a synthetic blend. While conventional oils will only last about 3,000-5,000 miles between oil changes, full synthetics can last up to 15,000 miles (sometimes more). Synthetic blends fall somewhere in the middle at about 7,500 miles. Uneven wear between tires.Tire one side wear. In this case, uneven wear doesn't mean an irregular pattern throughout the tread of one tire. It means when the front tires wear faster than the rear ones. If you notice this happening with your tires, they need to be rotated as soon as possible. The wear difference will soon become insignificant if the tires aren't worn out completely. However, you may also notice an irregular wear pattern on one of your front tires, where one side has less tread than another. read more

Walk in for a nail in tire and it took an HOUR to "diagnose" when i told them EXACTLY where the nail was. This clown of a mechanic named Cody starts off by letting my car idle in the bay for 10 minutes While hes out back doing who knows what. I literally went in the bay to get my wheel lock and come to find out he didnt even touch the car yet. Once he comes back from his little trip outback he pulls it into the alignment rack because my car is low so he used an airjack to allow my tire to spin to see the nail. The guy from the front desk comes in and tells me its not fixable (he was cool) After i get the news youd think id get my car back within 5 minutes or less but i guess Mr. Cody needed another cigarette. Im watching my car sit there for 15 minutes with nothing being done. I walk out in front of the bay and this clown is nowhere to be found again. I went inside and told the front desk guy and he went and yelled for Cody to do his job once again. Cody, then proceeds to gather up every ounce of work ethic He has in his body to come inside and remove the air jack and lower my car and back it out. Also as a parting gift Mr Cody tightened my lug nuts WAY TOO TIGHT on the tire with the nail in it. I know this because I have a whole different set of rims and tires and just swapped them over about six hours after I was there and the tire with the nail on it would not break loose from the impact gun. I went in for just an oil change - ended up being 2 hours from drop off to pick up. I purchased a Groupon for a $16.14 Oil Change. I was told upon arriving that I needed a Synthetic Blend / Full Synthetic Oil Change, and they told me they would charge me the difference. No problem. My owner's manual specifies that it requires a Synthetic Blend, but you may use full synthetic if labeled with the appropriate API Certification seal and specified viscosity grade. Groupon offered a Synthetic Oil Change at this exact Midas location for $39.99. I was charged $52.39 ($16.14 for the Groupon + $36.25 On Site) I asked if they price matched Valvoline. AJ SanFilippo, the store manager, told me they're usually much cheaper than Valvoline ($70+). I left the store taking his word for it, but upon checking online, they currently have an offer for a $36 Synthetic Blend Oil Change, or $48.50 Oil Change, and they'll do the oil change while you're in your car. Midas also tried to upsell me on cabin air filters, engine air filters, brake pads, rotors, TPMS rebuilt kit, valve stems - none of which I was interested in. I told them I was selling the vehicle, I just wanted to take care of the maintenance minders. Frustrating experience overall. read more

‼PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION‼ I took my car in yesterday for a simple alignment and switch out my old rims for new rims. When I saw a nightmare. The rude manager AJ is so unprofessional. For a 2 hours job it took 6 hours to tell me that alignment can't be done and the broken my TPMS sensor and there is TPMS warning light on my dashboard. They are quick to try to upsale and push the credit card but not fix the issues which I came in for. They couldn't do my alignment at all; however, they want to up sale another car parts. They broke my TPMS SENSOR and now they are not trying to replace them. Which I have a TPMS sensor warning light on my car; when I took it in this location no light were on my dashboard and my TPMS sensor where working fine. The store manager AJ is very unprofessional, making awful comments, cutting me off. What kind of customer services is this. I got the Midas credit card which now I have no use for after this incident I don't trust them. I have contact AJ and Jay about how to resolve this. I called repeatedly of times and I finally reach rudely store Manager "AJ" and he is basically not trying to resolve the issues. This is the worst customer experience I have accounted in my life. ‼Please beware of this location and the misconducted of these technicians‼ I would advise you to not go here and go to Goodyear or another updated known tires, alignment, oil change establishment because you have to treat your customer with honesty and look out for the customer best interest. I left the store with damages to my new rims and broken TPMS sensor with warning lights on my car dashboard. Alert When I say it was a nightmare. No resolution to their wrong doing. Car kept dying, so I brought it over to them so they could fix the issue, and they replaced my alternator saying that the issue was fixed. Apparently it was not the alternator, as the issue persists, and it likely is a parasitic drain but they don't want to check it without charging me again. They charged me 800 dollars without fixing the issue that the car was brought in the first place. and they still want to keep charging me. Will not be returning here, again. read more

Not a great experience, will not be coming here again. Only went here because my usual trusted mechanic was booked solid, and the reviews seemed ok. I had some repairs and maintenance done and after I picked up the car I noticed the whole car shook when I drove over 60 mph. Took the car back into the shop and they told me I needed new tires and the problem was fixed. I test drove the car and it was still shaking like crazy at 60 mph. Don't see how they could have test drove it and not noticed the problem was still there. I convinced my regular mechanic to take a look and they found that the front tires were not balanced properly. In fact they said the way they were balanced actually made them worse. They rebalanced the tires and everything was fixed. Made me worried about the quality of the other repairs I had this Midas shop do. read more

My 2011 Honda Pilot required an alignment and an oil change. The gentleman at the counter informed me that he wouldn't do the alignment unless I changed bought new tires and replaced a steering rod for $1100. Needless to say he didn't sucker me into the job and I went and had the alignment completed for $60 at another shop and the vehicle rides and steers great. read more

Recently I went twice to Midas of Marlboro, NJ which is close to my house with my Toyota Rav 4. I took the early morning appointment, 7.30 a.m. to be exact and was surprised that the office was already open and was greeted by A.J., the manager. Found him to be very understanding and reliable person. Got the oil change done by a mechanic named John.. Needed synthetic and for under $50 it was a great deal. Later, the battery which was about ten years hold would not hold charge and hence called A.J. who helped me choose the right battery at a reasonable price. The work was done by a mechanic named Rich. Both were very experienced , courteous and knowledge like their boss, A.J. Since I have come across a reliable place to take care of my car needs, will be going there shortly to replace tires. I wasn't going to post until I read Nelson O. 10/18/2020 - My car needed suspension work and tires. I do many things to my own cars so I know my way around, but I don't have the tools for suspension & tires. The bad: -It took them 2 full days, it should not have taken this long, perhaps they are under staffed? -They gave the car back with my power steering grinding and told me air got into the system after they flushed it and this grinding will go away. That was confusing, they should have bled the system again. The ugly: -Brought car back next day and they said its my rack $1,200. I didn't approve the work and I told them to "stop all work I did not have a rack and pinion issue." So, the next weekend with a buddy of mine I went under the car myself, the issue was 2 $6 gasket o-rings. I will never go to this shop again, shame on them if they were trying sneaky business or shame on them if a suspension shop couldn't identify this issue. -The 2 stars are because I am happy with the tires. - Advice if you go here make sure you know what your car needs. read more

Work done well. They gave an estimate and charged differently. Total charges didn't match with the estimate. They charged extra $39.99. I checked my bills from other repair shops. Always the estimate price matched the charged amount. Here in Midas, the estimate price is not matching. They charged more. Don't know how to get the extra charges back. This is the first time I got this experience. Midas is a big company, but I couldn't believe they charge different amount than the estimate. read more

this place was recommended to me by a friend, and i highly recommend it to others. never felt pressured into any work on my car that i didnt want, prices are reasonable, and never have to wait too long for repairs. on one occasion where i did have to wait a long time, the owner took my car to a car wash as a way of apologizing for the wait. also offered to take my car to the inspection for me because the inspection as due and it was a holiday that i could not drive on. great service, very friendly, if you are looking for a mechanic that won't pressure you into unnecessary work, and will explain everything that he is doing and why, this is the place to go. read more
