What a great shop and people. We were traveling through from Florida to the Carolina mountains and had a flat on our travel trailer. Even though they were busy, they still took the time to replace my tire that was shredded. I really was expecting some outrageous price, nope, $60 and change. WHAT? REALLY? I have since priced these since I've been home and still can't beat the price let alone the service. What a great family owned business. I thought this was going to be my long term mechanic but I was wrong. I had my starter replaced a year ago from Nuttall and my car has had problems starting the last 3 months. I took it in to get it serviced and they told me my starter was in fact bad and they would be replacing that under "warranty". Well I get a call saying my battery is dead and it will be a $140+ tax charge to replace the battery. I requested that it be covered as well since it wouldn't be "dead" if they didn't put in a bad starter to begin with. After going back and forth they did not budge and I paid the money. I went to pick up the car that afternoon after hours like they "offer" and my door was locked and my key was no where to be found. So I had to drive back to my house get my spare key and then Uber back to Nuttall. So after all of this they have "warrantied" my new starter (that was their fault), charged me $140+tax for a new battery (that was their fault), and cost me a $20 Uber ride + 2 hours of my evening wasted going back and forth to this place. Also at the time of this review I still do not have my key to my car. I do not write reviews. This has gotten me so desperate I didn't know what else to do. I will not be going back. read more

So I am not going to tell a long story about why I brought my vehicle in to Nuttall Tire today, but I am going to tell you about the service that I received. This was by far the best experience I have ever had dealing with any type of vehicle repair/ tire shop. I called this morning to see if they had any openings, brought my car down, got it checked out and had a couple problems found, repaired and had my vehicle back within a few short hours. Throughout the process the guys at the front desk called me to keep me in the loop about what they were finding with my car and gave their advice... never once did I feel that they were trying scheme me into buying parts that I don't need. I would highly recommend these guys to any of my closest friends. Great experience. read more

I did my diligent research for the best tire shop. as I was new to the area due to college. Nuttall seemed like the best bet after seeing the star ratings and reviews. From my personal experience this place is a joke and a scam. I think the reviews are fake or bought out and I see why people vow never to return. I went in for a simple tire change and after waiting about 2 hours the guy tells me they stripped the lug nut and couldn't get it off. After considering my options I told them to break it off as long as they'd fix it on their dime as it was them who stripped the lug nut. I was quoted for about 350 to replace the wheel stud which I thought was a joke and about 6 months later when I got a new set of tires NTB told me it could be fixed for 50 dollars. If I could go lower I would. They up sold a family member and did not stand behind their work and especially for work that was not needed. Replaced a radiator under warranty but alas did not replace the transmission fluid. What a joke of a place. AVOID!!! read more

I took my 2007 U conn GMC to get the tires balanced and rotated which is included and service since I bought the tires from nuttal. ive had the truck for years and have an occasional problem with 1 of the tpms after getting tired balanced and rotated. the batteries can wear out in these systems. but in a yukon not all at once. i took it in to nuttall. all 4 were reading fine. when i went to pick it up all 4 sensors were reading bad. nuttall told me all 4 batteries went bad at once. not likely. had 2 tpms replaced in last 2 years and they should last 5-7 years. what they didnt want to own up to is that its more likely a sloppy job of removing the tire that causes the sensors to essentially break during the process of the removal of the tires. they said it was my problem and they didnt do it. AGAIN ALL 4 WERE WORKING FINE WHEN I BROUGH5 IN. WHEN I PICKED IT UP ALL 4 WERE NOT WORKING. NUTTALL said it wasnt there fault and they werent fixing. so i left furious. i will not be going back. make sure you let them know if you have a truck or car with these features. their technicians are not qualifiedto work on certain cars or trucks obviously. they acted like i was at fault when i was told it was not their fault. bad customer service read more

Our first experience with Nuttall's Tire was fantastic! Friendly greeting on the telephone when I called them. They quickly sent me to a salesman to help us select tires for our work trucks. They offered several different brands and models, but also let us know about the brand and models that the majority of the works truck they service use. Lots of good guidance! I will never be a customer at Nuttall Tire again after the almost horrific turn of events this week. I visited them to have them look at my car when I heard the dreaded rubbing/grinding sound under the front left of my car. This has never happened before (or anything, for that matter), so going to Nuttall I felt would help lead to a good solution. The mechanic told me that I needed a wheel bearing and hub that would cost slightly under $400 (half for the part, half labor). Being a man of holistic action, and one that is mentored by an awesome father, I went and looked online for the part/s. I discovered online that one would run me $20-40, and a PAIR even could be purchased for $40-75. As many of you know, if a mechanic is willing to install the part that you purchase, that cuts costs. To finish the story, THE AUTO CLUB is one place you can trust. The mechanic lifted my car up this morning and discovered that lug-nuts were loose. He tightened those things up and THE NOISE STOPPED. If I had let Nuttall convince me of all my car's "problems", I would be out of $400 right now over a loose tire. MORAL OF THE STORY: Be prayerful, and: Always get a second opinion. DO NOT GO TO NUTTALL UNLESS YOU ARE AS KNOWLEDGEABLE AS THEY ARE. read more

They are absolutely incredible. I took a flat tire in to be repaired and they had the best customer service. The front desk staff was super nice and helpful and all the crew were too. As far as tires, Nutall's might do a decent job, but due to a highly disappointing recent experience getting some brake work done at Nutall's, I would steer clear (literally and figuratively) of them-- WAY clear. Long story short: My brakes were soft, they said it was either a bad caliper or master cylinder. Apparently called me to pick up my "fixed" car a day or two later, only for me to drive a mile and my brakes go out on me again. Without killing myself, I was able to slowly drive my car back, and didn't get so much as an apology or any empathy for the mishap, then they came back and told me that it was the master cylinder, which would cost me $3K. Since my car wasn't worth that, and I since they misdiagnosed my car to begin with, I asked them to put my old parts back on, and give me my money back. They charged me $350 for the caliper, and gave me $150 back (for the cost of the part), but kept $200 for labor. Note that this was labor put into misdiagnosing the problem, which I still had at the point that they were keeping my money. How does this make sense? I understand that they have overhead and have to pay their staff, but if you do a bad job or give your customers zero results for a problem, why should the customer still have to pay for that? As an aside, I took my car to another mechanic, who flushed my brake lines and cleared the error code in my dash, and my brakes have worked fine with no problems for several weeks now. So although they might claim that there was no misdiagnosis, they were ultimately okay with not fixing my car, charging me $200, and willing to charge me another $3000 for a part that is still currently working. For being in the car repair/tire business 30+ years, I would hope for a little more expertise in that area. I might have even been okay to go back to these guys for tires at some point, but since they were okay with keeping my payment for this particular unfixed problem, I won't be back at all. read more

Nuttall quoted $900 for a break job on a Saturn and $1700 for a fuel pump on a 2001 Chevy with included labor of $1000 for a job they estimated at 5 hours. "Factory parts" are not the issue. I was able to get the break job for around $200 and the fuel pump for around $800 from a national chain which I am sure used proper parts and charged at the upper end of market value. My wife and I have been Nuttall customers for 12 years. We thought highly of their service for years but the last few years have been horrible. I would highly recommend not using their service for anything beyond tires or a oil change. They have made diagnosis on repairs costing $700+ that have not corrected the problem our vehicle was having then take no responsibility for making unneeded repairs. Twice this past year we have had a very slow leak in a tire in two different vehicles. Both times we were told that due to the area of the problem the tire was not repairable and had to be replaced. Both times the tire was nearly new purchased through them. I have been driving for over 30 years and this is this was the first time I have ever been told a tire was not patchable, not once but twice in one year? We will not be using their services in the future! read more

I needed a new battery, so I called ahead (based on their great reviews) and a friendly knowledgeable person answered the phone right away, checked to see if they had one for my model (they did), and told me to bring it in. They lived up to their great reputation, replacing the battery pretty much right away as I waited. The place was bustling with activity, with lots of guys working, so it's obvious that good service and quality work are major priorities with this local business. It's such a contrast with some of the poor service and work I have received at some chains and even dealers in the area, whose employees are not well-trained, they are totally unconcerned about how long you have to wait, and give inflated bills at the end. These guys are honest, friendly, and reasonably priced, which is why they do good business. I highly recommend this place above most others in the area, especially for tires, batteries, and other mechanical work. They are great to work with! read more
