Javier, the manager, claimed "there's nothing wrong with that. That's how we do all the exhaust repairs."

Do NOT bring your vehicle to Midas in Champaign, due to Dishonesty and Shoddy Work. They charged $240 for an exhaust system repair. Within a week of the initial repair, I brought my car back twice with continued exhaust symptoms. Their explanation was a broken motor mount, with an estimated cost of $350. I brought my car to a reputable auto shop for a second opinion only to find NOTHING wrong with the motor mount. Instead, the continued exhaust issues were from the obscenely crude welding job Midas did. They attempted to weld and instead filled the remaining gap with clumps of putty to cover up the horrible welding. When I confronted the manager at Midas, Javier, my concerns were dismissed and a refund was denied. He proceeded to gaslight me by saying "there's nothing wrong with that weld. This how we do all exhaust repairs." After calling Midas headquarters, I brought my car to the Midas in Peoria, where they had to replace the entire exhaust pipe due to Champaign's horrible work.

This is what the alignment of my car looked like within 2 miles of driving to Tire Barn to have a printed report ran for me.

THEY RELEASED A "LIFE HAZARD" ONTO THE ROAD - AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. Monro, Inc. and its subsidiaries (Car X and Tire Barn Warehouse) are not just incompetent; they are dangerous. In September, Car X in Charleston stripped my lug bolts during a routine service and hid it from me. It took a separate mechanic in Pennsylvania to point out that my wheel was seized. When I went back to Charleston, they admitted they messed up, blamed a fired employee, and sent me to Tire Barn in Champaign. Instead of fixing the catastrophe, Tire Barn reinstalled a structurally compromised wheel and sent me on my way. I only found out how close I was to a fatal accident when Costco Tire Center refused to let me drive the car away this month, calling it a "huge road hazard" that no professional should have ever let on the street. To top it off, trying to get help from their corporate office was a nightmare. I spoke with a Theresa Griffith, Guest Service Manager, who was incredibly unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly didn't care that her company's negligence ruined my Easter vacation and put me in physical danger. Do not trust these people with your vehicle. They will damage your car, lie about it, and then act like you're the problem when you demand they make it right. They are a disgrace to the automotive industry.

OVER TWO AND A HALF HOURS NOW! Now I'm young and don't know much about these kinds of services but I feel like I'll be here all day!! It's a windy day so they just keep flying open and are causing damage to the windows from the impact.
