My first visit here a for brakes was awesome. My boyfriend wanted to take my truck somewhere else to get the brakes done and I insisted on coming back here. The diagnostic didn't match what the previous company, the Nissan dealership said. I still insisted we use this Midas. My boyfriend came to do an advance payment so that they could order parts. Because of the advance payment we couldn't use a coupon that should have saved us $100. Tried to ask if we could cancel the advance payment and reprocess the payment and was told no. All the time the manager instead of coming to talk to me was in the back smoking a cigarette!! Don't waste your time or money coming here. Oh but they did offer a coupon for an oil change! Dropped my vehicle off at 2:30 on Tuesday for brakes and an oil change. The guy at the desk said it would be done by the end of the day, so I left it there. After not hearing anything I called at 5:30 and was told I needed to leave it overnight and it would be handled first thing in the morning. The next day I had not received any word by 3:30 so I called and was told it had not been pulled In yet but it was next in line. Yet again no word till I called at 5:30 and was told again that no work has been started and it would be another day. I informed them that I would just pick up the vehicle. Went to get an oil change. Told me I could not get the $59.99 synthetic oil. Would have to get the $79.99 oil change. So, I said ok. Then told me I needed a diagnostic review. I agreed to that. Told me my brake fluid was leaking and I needed new brake pads. Would cost all together with oil change about $800. I am a widow on a fixed income, but I am no dummy, and I am not an idiot. Told him I didn't get paid until Friday. So he told me to come back then. In the meantime I got my son who is a mechanic to check my brake fluid and brakes. He said brakes are fine and fluid is not leaking. Also, he told me there is not two different types of synthetic oil. I guess the person who told me this thought she is vulnerable and she will believe anything I tell her. Got news for him. I might be 76 years old, but I am no fool. Would not recommend this place to anyone and will tell everyone I meet my experience. Ought to be ashamed of yourselves trying to dupe an old lady. I spoke with multiple people at this location and everyone was so kind and trustworthy which is so important when someone's working on your vehicle! They were quick, attentive, and honest about what I really needed to keep an eye on- I will definitely be back. DO NOT LET AJ WORK ON YOUR CAR! Normally I go to Jiffy Lube and never had issues but decided to go to Midas because I was sent a coupon for a $19.99 oil change with a FREE tire rotation. Couldn't pass that deal up so I went, the girl at the counter was very friendly but this fratastic bro comes from the shop looking like he just smoked with the "A1" mechanic that should be fire and go to school to learn how to work on cars. They told me that legally they couldn't put a certain type of oil in my car so instead of it being $19.99 it ended up being $59.99!!! I was hesitant to do it because again jiffy is amazing and it's the same price but better service but with the FREE tire rotation I still went ahead and did it. My driveside front tire had a nail in it and I asked them about patching it but didn't do it because they charged too much for it. (39.99 for a patch)!! So after about 10 minutes my car was ready... I know you can change oil in that time but it blew my mind that he rotated my tires and changed my oil in that amount of time so I complimented AJ the mechanic saying "hey man I really appreciate you changing my oil and rotating my tires in that short amount of time, that's amazing"!!! He responds to me by saying "yeah dawg that's why I'm AJ, because I'm A1's"! I looked at him, laughed and again commented saying thanks for the oil change and rotation. I gave him two times to admit that he didn't rotate my tires but he didn't say anything. I left their shop around 5:30 and got home after 6:00pm when they closed. I parked in my driveway turning my wheel a certain way and I noticed it! A chalk outline of the nail in my tire. THAT WAS STILL ON MY FRONT DRIVER SIDE!!!! The bastard didn't even rotate my tires!!!! A FREE promotion they're offering to their customers right now!!! I knew something was going to go wrong when they lied to me and said they legally couldn't give me the cheaper oil and I ended up paying the regular amount for an oil change with NO ROTATION!!! So me going there was completely pointless!!! DONT LET AJ WORK ON YOUR CAR!!! I called them immediately and complained but nothing happened. Maybe this review will help... OHHH and after my oil change which I was soooo nervous they didn't even do, they ticket label they put on your windshield didn't even match my mileage! They couldn't even get that correct! read more

I broke down on i20 just outside Lexington; lost all power steering, A/C, and my suv was screeching like hell. I had my sequoia towed to Midas a little before 5pm and let them investigate. By 6pm I got a call from shop manager, Harrison, with great news. Only thing needed was a serpentine belt replacement and one pulley. We discussed what causes this breaker (lack of pm work) and pricing for replacement. Harrison and the Midas guys were honest and looked out for my car on a personal level. Pricing was beyond fair, I was expecting it to be more expensive for such a big fix. I will 100% be back to visit Harrison at Midas on Knox Abbott. read more

A faulty part was installed in my car by Midas. I went back when it started having its old issues and asked if the part could be faulty, and was told by Rick it just needed cleaned. Went to another place and they told me the part was both faulty and an incompatible aftermarket part, and installed a working one for cheaper than Midas did. Asked Rick for a refund, which he agreed to, and said he'd email me a receipt. A week and a half later, no receipt, no refund. Huge pain and dishonest. Will update if I ever hear from them. read more

If you just want an oil change, then they are okay. Be sure to look for coupons. They have an online estimate option, but they don't answer any submissions. My biggest issue is that they want 100 dollars to do diagnostic work. I recently had a check engine light come on, and they said to find the problem they'd have to do a full diagnostic and it was 100 dollars. I went to STS, just a few blocks away, and they checked it for free, and it turned out that all I needed was a new gas cap. read more
