Went there 4 weeks ago and got oil change. They charge me $80 to remove the oil. They did not put the oil back in the new oil. Went to another mechanic and he filled my old tank up with a gallon of oil. He said it was completely empty. This could've locked my car my motor up do not go to this business. Do not go. They will mess up your car. And then nothing was wrong with my battery. They did a battery check and all of a sudden I'm having problems with the battery. Had somebody checked that out and yes now the battery is no good. There was nothing wrong with my battery. These people are crooks. I took another car to another location. They invented things that need to be fixed. Nothing was wrong with my car before I took it there. Please do not take your car to these people. read more

While visiting Dallas for the weekend, someone stole the catalytic converter off my car while it was parked in the hotel parking lot. I talked to them over the phone and they were able to fit me in as soon as I arrived. The staff were super nice and waited for me to pick up my car even though it was after closing time (I was running late and had a difficult time getting a Lyft back to the shop before closing). I hope to never have to use them again (just because that would mean something is wrong w/my car) but I would absolutely recommend them for your car service needs. read more

Brought my 2008 Honda fit in with 160,000.00 miles on it with pops in the suspension and a shimmy in the steering wheel. I had originally gone to Firestone and they wanted to replace both struts to the tune of 1,100 bucks. Reji and his staff diagnosed the real issues in less than 40 min: 1. Sway bars 2. Control Arms 3. CV axle joints Got me out the door for less than 900 bucks... funny thing is if I had replaced the struts at Firestone I would still be having the same issues, it was obvious that Firestone didn't perform a detailed inspection! This Midas location is knowledgeable, thorough and honest. If you're having suspension issues, go see Reji down at Midas in Carrollton, you'll be glad you did. I'm a little disappointed in this location. I go here for my oil changes and have never had a problem. They did a brake check for me last time I was there and said that my brake pads would need to be changed. They wrote me up an estimate. My dad works on cars... so I was just going to have him do it. When he was in town, he set everything up.. and the brake pads had hardly ANY wear on them. Almost brand new. Not sure what happened or who they were trying to fool.. but I recommend getting a second opinion from someone before agreeing to pay almost $300 for new brake pads when it's not necessary whatsoever. read more

I went out for 2 hours last night, and when I started my car to go home I thought the muffler had gone. I showed up at this location and once on the hoist, we saw what was missing. The (stolen) catalytic converter was replaced within 1 hour. Their service was great, and professional. This will now be my go-to place for future issues with my car. Thanks! read more

Took my 2003 sequoia in the next morning with appt and they were finished before noon and they took me home and picked me up from home during installation. Their slogan reads "Trust the Midas Touch" If I were you, I would not 'trust' any Midas technician to 'touch' your car! I visited this Midas for an oil change. I normally go to the VW dealership for repairs/scheduled maintenance however there were good online reviews so I decided to visit this location. In total I was charged $97.11 for the visit along with a Visual Courtesy Check. Only two items listed in yellow - engine oil and washer fluid. I thought, GREAT! And drove away feeling satisfied. A few days later, I start my car (it was 37 degrees outside) and the thermometer shot all the way over and the blinking coolant warning light came on... I lift the hood and to my surprise the coolant level is dangerously low, wayyyyy under the minimum level marker. Luckily there was an AutoZone nearby so I had no choice but to drive my almost overheated car to buy coolant. I was nowhere near the Carrollton location where I got the oil change and it was Sunday when the store is not even open. I carefully poured the coolant to the safe level waited and an hour or so, started my car and thankfully the gauge returned to normal. The invoice shows the green box is checked for coolant! This was completely overlooked and a blatant LIE. If the technician actually looked at the coolant tank it was obvious it was low and needed a refill. Please also note the green box is checked for fluid leaks, is this a lie, too? How can I trust that anything on the Visual Courtesy Check is true and correct after this? Had the technician filled the coolant to 'minimum' I would of not had the scare and unscheduled trip to AutoZone. If you can imagine the frustration I felt with this situation I had on my hands. I spend nearly $100 for an oil change and was given IN WRITING the literal "green light" that fluid levels were okay. Had I not known the importance of coolant, ignored the warning light, I could have thousands of dollars in damages to the engine "courtesy" of Midas. I go back to the Carrollton location to tell the desk manager of my experience and how completely unsatisfied I was. I ask if a refund is possible to which he said "No, I cannot give a refund. We don't make any money on oil changes and the services you paid for was an oil change, not a coolant check. I see that the boxes were checked green and I'm sorry about that - maybe you have a leak? I can take a look again for ya. The technician that worked on your car is here now, I'll ask him if he remembers anything." I politely declined everything and left feeling defeated. - As a customer, please don't tell me "we didn't make any money off of you." The oil change was $97! Something is wrong if you can charge that amount and not make any money! - You are sorry the boxes were checked incorrectly?? How many other cars has the technician not checked? Never did the desk manager say "I will talk one on one to the tech to make sure this never happens again" - Telling me that he'll ask the tech if he remembers anything - because hundreds of cars come in and out of that shop there's no way I would even believe what he said. - I simply asked for a refund not another bogus visual courtesy inspection As a woman getting any service to my car I automatically think that I'm getting screwed over and talked down to - this experience was no different. I've been coming here for the last 8 years and unless it's in emergency and they are closed, I do not go anywhere else. For each vehicle I've owned, both used and brand new, they have been so great on getting things fixed and doing oil changes. Both the owner and the workers are respectable, hard working men and never fail to explain exactly what is wrong with my vehicle every time there is an issue. They've also never tried to squeeze out more money from me during each visit. Every time they bring something up I'm never surprised and trust them completely. Their waiting area is pretty normal. I personally enjoy some of their biblical quotes/décor they have hanging up but it's not so much in your face if you don't care for it. I think I noticed them simply because of my religious beliefs. I came here to get two tires changed. It took 15 min to get an estimate - which is fine, I didn't have an appointment and I don't expect people to drop what they are doing just to wait on me. Over the course of the next hour I watched two other cars come in after me and leave before they even started my car. They took the tires off and they sat off for 40 min. The manager explained that a lot of people came at the same time, but there were literally three others in that time who all came after me, only one was there before I arrived - the place was largely empty. A simple diagnostic on my 05 Kia Spectra , This location quoted me $900 repair, my cadillaic converter needed to be replaced. I knew before going , that this was going to be a thousand dollar job. After setting up my appointment for the following weekend ,to complete the repairs. The manager said that I could put a deposit down to secure my repairs. WHAT !!! NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE...Didn't have it writting . He said that I don't know if you are REALLY going to come back. and that he has to order the part. I guess my word is not good enough. I said cancel my appointment. You have no right to stereotype certain people to pay a deposit because of their ethnics. The only place I take my cars. Jim, the manager, always takes good care of his customers. There have been times I've taken my car in expecting to shell out big bucks for a major repair but they told me no repair was needed and all they had to do was as inexpensive adjustment to stop the sound, wobble, etc. They do what's needed and they do a good job. Prices are good and work is guaranteed. I also get mailers for discounts on oil changes and services, so that's nice too. read more

I just got a free brake check after hearing intermittent screeching sounds. Wasn't sure what to expect. The manager walked me over and explained that my brakes were at 50% and probably good for another 20k miles based on the current wear and mileage. Very honest shop!
