The service techs called the mechanic from across the parking lot and the vehicle would not start. There was no support in getting the vehicle towed or attempts made to reassure my wife. She and were both told repeatedly that "They had only done the services that were requested." When the tow truck we called arrived, the techs refused to open the bay door until my wife had paid. While the services may had been done, the car was not functional. An assessment at the dealership determined that the engine was seized. Attempts were made by both myself and the dealership to attain video of the service to determine what had occurred. Lube Town refused to share any evidence, which would have exonerated them as all they did was the services that were requested, claiming privacy. In the end, Lube Town did nothing and the dealership, without the additional evidence, did nothing. We were left with a repair bill totaling over $11000 for an engine rebuild. We will never use or recommend Lube Town again.

So I found Dandy auto on kijiji. They were running a special on $49 out of province inspections. I…read moremade an appt over the phone and they fit me in really fast. They got our business for two reasons - 1. They were very reasonably priced. . 2. They were the only company I called that actually picked up their phone. ( Cassandra goes above and beyond to make sure all calls are picked up, shes super woman) I got my truck in, it took about 4 hours but they were really through. I got a small list of things that needed to repaired to pass inspection and they gave me a reasonable quote. My husband however used this as an excuse to try out a different shop that is run by a family member. So we came back to our re inspection. I was quoted 30-1 hour. About 15 minutes into it, I was pulled into the service bay to have a talk. The shop we had just taken our truck to botched our rear breaks and then tried to cover it up. Bryan the service technician carefully and in great detail showed me the damage. He explained what the other mechanic did and what he tried to do to 'fix' it. If you want to call it that. The break was a ticking time bomb and eventually I would have lost my breaks. I am so thankful to Bryan that he caught this and repaired it. So we ordered all the parts and he went away to work. Unfortunately the caliper bracket didnt make it to us on time and I had to wait (at no fault to them) for 7 hours with a toddler. Cassandra did everything in her power to make sure I had supplies to entertain my daughter. Everyone was so nice and forgiving that my tiny terror was running around and occasionally screaming. At the end of the day it became obvious that the part wasn't coming in time. Cassandra called around to get me a rental, but everyone was booked out. And do you know what? I was stranded. Bryan the tech DROVE US HOME. He totally went out of his way to help us, we didn't have very many options to get home. So they got the part this morning and fixed up the truck. It cost us nearly double what Dandy quoted us when it was all said and done. In hindsight we should of just let them do it. I'm so thankful for Cassandra, Bryan and the entire Dandy crew. Bryan will be the only person working on our truck from here on out.

Had my 2017 F-150 XLT into a reputable Ford Dealership 3 times in one week to figure out why my…read moreEngine Coolant-High Temperature light was still coming on despite them replacing all the Radiator Hoses, thermostat and water pump. $2500 later, I was informed that possible Piston Head and/or Cylinder block compromise was evident because coolant was entering the combustion chambers but not fully diagnosed and it would be advised to purchase a new truck and they would give me a $8,000 trade-in for a vehicle with 173,000 klms on it. Left the dealership with my vehicle and talked to many people on this issue and the truck had a previous market value of $31,000 ( full leather decked out) but possible new engine for $20,000 might be needed. Called Cetus and got a diagnostic appointment set up. Turns out Head Gasket needed replaced, two piston heads got cleaned and machined up, timing chains re-adjusted, New Fazers needed, all coolants and fluids redone so including parts worth $7,300 and labour of $4,600, all in for $13,000. includes a 1 year - 20,000 klm warranty Truck is absolutely operating like brand new. Cetus Auto Shop took me through everything on the diagnostics and actually came in a $1,000 less than the quote. They kept me up to date on the 6 days they had the vehicle and the experience was the best I have every had when it comes to an auto repair. I am a bit of a car junkie as I have restored 2 vehicles but totally impressed how they delivered the information, their concerns and their solutions! Cetus gets it's on how to treat your clients! looking forward to getting another 4 years out of the truck!

Rather than just grabbing air, I thought I'd stop in at a garage and get air AND a re-torque. I went into the office and their first question for me was, "did we do the rim change?" No.. "then you need to go there to do the work". I had kids in the back seat and a super low tire that needed air.. they sent me on the road like that.. knowingly. Because they hadn't done the rim change..dangerous, petty. Ridiculous. Re-torquing lug nuts has never been a difficult thing for me to get done at a random garage I'm driving by. Air.. that's a safety thing. Shame. I will NEVER recommend this garage. Very petty. Would have take 5 minutes tops.

I had a pretty clear-cut exhaust leak, I went in (without an appointment), waited about 10 minutes and they put my car up on the lift, another 5 minutes and the diagnosis was confirmed. I was given my two options, and in about 40 minutes (they were probably done before this, but I walked over to the mall for a coffee and back) drove away with my issue fixed, for a reasonable price. Everyone was kind, there was no bullshit, and it was seamless. I'd go back to them anytime.
