This might be your car next after taking it to Midas. Paying a bunch of fees and not being able to drive it home. Thanks.
    Rico J.

I've always heard not to trust all of the Midas automotive chain shops, but I went ahead anyhow because of the great communication I received from Chel at first. Come to find out I shouldn't have expected anything more. I took my Audi in to have the thermostat replaced. They charge me for a diagnostic fee which I understand. But they diagnosed the water pump. They change that just to find out it was in fact the thermostat that needed replacing. Danny the husband even admitted that they should of just went for the thermostat, but they "felt more comfortable changing the water pump." Well, the unnecessary water pump, needed thermostat, and a coolant pipe that broke upon test drive was all replaced leaving me with almost a 2k bill. And now I apparently need a head gasket replaced. Long story short, I didn't even receive a plan or quote from them on how much the extra work (head gasket) will be UNTIL I complained to corporate. Communication was not good. My car was running when I brought it in, now I had to tow it back home after an almost 2k bill. Yes, Chel was willing to take off $150 off the bill, and split the storage fees.. yes they charged me storage fees because I didn't have the time to TOW my car back home and didn't agree with the fees. I agree with paying the necessary thermostat and labor fee, even agreed to pay for the unnecessary water pump fee, but shouldn't the labor on that part at least have been taken off for a misdiagnosis? Chel who's not the mechanic believes it was necessary when her husband even stated it was a misdiagnosis as my wife was in the room when he stated that. Thanks for returning me a car I can't even drive anymore even after having parts replaced by you guys. I will never come back and would not recommend anyone to this shop. Even the guy who towed my car back home was wondering why I needed to have it towed. Looked at the bill without me saying one word and said, "I think Midas screwed you over."

$122.48 FOR A FULL-SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGE. AND WHAT'S THE $8.35 "Shop Supplies" FOR -- DID I BUY SOMEONE LUNCH?

Nope. Recommend seeking elsewhere. Are you military? Do you have a Yelp coupon? Is there already a Midas coupon for this service? Too bad, sucka: your wallet's about to be raped. Needed an oil change for my high-mileage 2006 VW GTI. To repeat: IT WAS JUST AN OIL CHANGE. Total for a full-synthetic oil change, $122.48. THAT'S MORE THAN THE DEALER WOULD CHARGE! For contrast, the Firestone on Wheaton Way charged $60.05 for this exact same service. Plus, the Midas website had a full synthetic oil change offer for this month for this store for $59.99. (Firestone gives their coupons as the default.) Two stars because they could do the appointment on the same day. Otherwise, plan ahead and pay 1/2 price anywhere else.

I tried again still could not find the problem. I stumbled upon community I always thought they were just a small shop. They gave me a quote what they thought was the issue. They said it would take about an hour. The car took over 4 hours more complicated than they thought. I was fully expecting every minute that they were going to come and tell me that it was going to cost more or that they found a new issue where they had to repair something else. What ended up happening is they finished the repair while I am nervous about what add-ons they're going to tell me they did. Instead I get a quote for exactly what was promised. When I was surprised he said it's what we quoted you and we stick to our quotes. I can't believe a place like this would be that honest I have never had good luck with car places until now. Being a woman who knows nothing about cars you get taken advantage of and here they were having my back. Casey also is absolutely incredible. She couldn't have been more helpful or nicer. I originally came in because my brakes We're squeaking Period they told me it was just break dust and that it was okay. that I did not need to replace them yet. After that great service I then asked them about the other issue because I trusted them. Highly recommend don't think twice just go to them. They will have your back also.

They fixed me right up when I came in for my appt. And after the residual oil burned off, no more smoking and no more oil leak! Side note: my car had recently been stolen and abandoned and the ignition tumbler was messed up. I told them as fair warning for turning on/off And I had an annoying belt squeak usually when I'd first start the far after sitting for any decent amount of time (a few hours to overnight). It wasn't until I parked my car and turned it off that I realized they fixed the ignition tumbler, too! (Not sure how difficult that was for them) And then later, I realized I wasn't hearing any squeaking belt starting up my car. They fixed that up, too! And they are super helpful even giving their thoughts on different issues with the car to look into as they notice them and they don't charge an arm and a leg. Very happy with their services and will definitely be using them as my go-to mechanic as I'm fairly new to the Bremerton area.

Wouldn't give me back my car long enough to get the unnecessary new parts removed. Three illegal things in the state of WA - doing unnecessary work, lying to the customer about the problem and needed work, and increasing the estimate by over 10% (more like 30%) without confirming with the customer. Ended up having to deal with their corporate office who eventually sorted it out for us, but if we hadn't been persistent enough to fight them on it, they'd have just taken 130% of the estimate while having done absolutely nothing to address the problem. We agreed to pay them for their unnecessary labour, so we're out $400 plus the cost of the tows there and back and we're right back at square one. These guys are predators.

After spending about a year searching for THE car that I wanted, I found it over in Bremerton…read more Part of the deal when I bought the car was to have the engine rebuilt top to bottom, and a new windshield. The dealership then sent my car over to Wicked Autoworks, and told me it'll be about 2 weeks until I get my car. A month later, and several uninformative phone calls later, I'm told I can come pick up my car. Had I not been as excited as I was about finally being able to leave with my 'new' car, I would have done more than accept the apology for them having not replaced my windshield, but also having removed my tonneau cover, and stowed it away in the back of the shop. At the time, I was given the "we have a new guy" excuse, which didn't explain why it was hidden in the back of the shop. After telling them to reinstall it right then and there, I was told they don't know where the mounting hardware is, so I told them to find it. 2 hours later they claimed to not be able to find it, but they'll keep looking. It wasn't until 6 months later they called me and claimed to have found the hardware. Spoiler alert, they only found half of it, and tied half the cover down with wire. After leaving the autoshop, I went straight down to the ferry, to get back over to Seattle, which is where I found another red flag. Not even halfway through Seattle, the car starts to overheat. After getting pulled over, I found that the thermostat was bad, which indicates the car was not tested after the engine had supposedly been re-installed. At the time, I thought nothing of it. I was just glad to finally have my car, and this was a super simple fix. After a week of light driving(WFH in Kenmore), my passenger side CV boot went out. During a call with Wicked Autoworks, they kept suggesting replacement parts that would not work on the Turbo version of my car. I ended up having to search for the part on my own, which wasn't a huge deal. What was a huge deal, was just how badly the dead CV Boot was damaged. The amount of damage and wear on that boot makes me think eyes were never laid upon it the whole time the car was in their shop. When asked how this wasn't noticed when the engine was being removed or replaced, the most I got was a "I don't know.". Fast forward a few years, I take my car into Subaru for normal maintenance and a multipoint inspection, with notes about checking for an oil and coolant leak. When I get my car back I'm informed my head gaskets are leaking. I asked about what could cause that, as the engine had just been rebuild about 3 years ago, and the Subaru tech. told me it doesn't look any work had been done on the engine, and I'll need it rebuilt soon. With that info, I looked back through my paperwork and found that Wicked Autoworks was only suppose to pull and re-install the engine. The engine was suppose to be shipped to Spokane to be worked on. After reaching out to the rebuild shop, I found that they only use one specific brand of head gaskets. When I checked the gaskets on my car, I found that they were not the brand used by the Spokane shop. Once I realized what likely happened, I called the dealership(NorthWest Rides), the autoshop(Wicked Autoworks), and the rebuild shop(Sunwest Auto), and they all claim to not have any records of anything over 3 years old. TLDR; They attempted to steal my tonneau cover, didn't replace windshield, more than likely took my money, and didn't do the work I paid them for.
