If I could put 0 stars I would.
1. My window fell through my door and so I came to mid state glass to get it fixed. They re-glued the tabs to my window, so that I could let it up and down. However, the lock switch on my driver side door that was working perfectly fine before I got there did not work anymore once I left. On top of that, they give you a two day wait for the glue on your window to dry before you can let it down. So two days later when I finally let my window down I let it back up it went all the way up but then automatically came back down by itself and I had to lock the window in order to keep it up.
2. I am a schoolteacher so it is very hard for me to find time during the day to run errands. I came back a week later and spoke to Jimmy and the receptionist and told them what was happening. He asked me could I drop off my car in the morning in order for them to take my door apart and look at it. I told him that I was a teacher and could not run errands during the day, however, summer break with starting in a week and asked would I be able to bring my car in the week after that for them to look at it. He told me yes and even gave me his card as a point of contact.
3. I came in a week later (today) and Jimmy was at the front desk. I reminded him of what happened and he took my keys so they could look at my door. He came into the waiting room about 20 minutes later telling me that they did nothing wrong, all of the latches were in place and that I must've spilled "Kool-Aid or Coke" on the lock button. I am a 23-year-old black woman. The Kool-Aid comment 1000% rubbed me the wrong way because it definitely felt like a racial dig, I realize that it may not have been one, but it definitely felt like one. However, because I was more concerned about my car I let it go and did not make that a big deal. I called my father and put Jimmy on the phone with him. Jimmy refused to accept the possibility that either him or one of his team members could have made a mistake. After a few minutes talking to my dad, he handed me the phone saying "he wasn't doing this anymore" and stormed off. Neither, I nor my father ever raised our voices, used profanity, or came at him in an aggressive or inappropriate way. We were rightfully angry, but remained civil. And he still refused to find a middle ground. I will NEVER and I repeat NEVER EVER even consider bringing my car, money or business back here and I do not recommend you do either. read more
