I don't know her name but she has been there some time now and wears glasses and looks miserable to be there. highly dissatisfied in her customer service. if you want happy customers you should put the people happy to work there up front. when aubrey is working she greets me right away with a smile, knows exactly what I'm here for and has my dogs meds ready for me within 60 seconds of me walking in. those other girls that work that front desk are rude, pretend they don't see you and should be retrained on customer service. By far, the best veterinary surgical center, and let me tell you why: I took my pup to two…read moredifferent Vets for surgical consults near my house, but I didn't have much confidence with my local vets because I felt rushed at those appointments and they barely checked my pup before printing out an estimate. When I brought her here to Mid-Michigan, Dr. Creighton did an incredibly thorough eval. She was able to remove some tissue for biopsy prior to the surgery, and that helped my pup a lot. The mass calmed down and stopped bleeding which made it more tolerable for my sweet Sprite while waiting for surgery day. Sprite has a grade 3/4 heart murmur and the team adjusted accordingly for her. Surgery went really smooth and Sprite came through the door wagging her cute little bandaged tail with no problems. Dr. Creighton also helped us out of a jam with scheduling. We had a vacation planned and she was able to squeeze us in quickly so that our pup would have time to heal and I wouldn't have to cancel our trip. The estimates we received from other Vets were three times the price. We live 3 hours away and it was worth the drive. I will come here for any of Sprite's surgical needs in the future. Dr. Creighton took the time to truly evaluate Sprite by manually feeling the mass, performing a biopsy, asking important questions about her health history, and coming up with a plan for her surgery. Sprite is normally a very anxious, nervous dog who hates the vet, but when Dr. Creighton evaluated her, she felt at ease and behaved very well. I am grateful for the Mid-Michigan Surgical​​ Referral center and Dr. Creighton and her team. They will take amazing care of your pup! I haven't left a review on Yelp in a while, but I needed to share my love for this place. I have an…read more13-year old cat with renal failure. I got her when I was 11 years old and we have grown up together, so she is very very important to me. In 2013 her brother, who lives with my parents, died very suddenly of kidney failure. I immediately brought my cat to the closest vet when I moved to East Lansing with her, which happened to be Abbott Road. She at first tested to be in good health but about 8 months later she started vomiting all the time and basically stopped eating. We had been getting ready to go on vacation when this started and I had to rush her in about 3 days before we were going to leave. I almost cancelled my trip but Abbott Road saved the day. They did blood work and found that she did indeed have the early stages of kidney failure. They also offered to board her while I was out of town and give her all the medications she needed to feel comfortable again. They just charged me for boarding but she was essentially given a 5-day hospital visit to get her back in good health. When I came back from my trip, the vet explained to me what medications she would need and how to best go about making her comfortable and healthy for the months or years to come. This was in February of 2015. It is now November and my cat is doing better than ever. She has made a complete turnaround from the lethargic, vomiting, skinny cat she was in the spring back to a playful, healthy, happy cat. I cannot thank the vets and staff at Abbott Road enough. Everyone there is wonderful and so kind to my cat. I've seen both Dr. Missy and Dr. Mary, but recently only Dr. Missy and she is so fantastic. She understands that my cat is old and never tries to push unnecessary procedures. She has commended me multiple times for taking good care of my cat, something vets never do, but that really means a lot. I'm so sad to be moving, as I don't know that I'll find another vet that can compare. We will miss you Abbott Road!

However, they have attended to: Gomer, Thor, Texie, Sadie, Gulliver, Muffin, Oliver, Little Dorrit (all dogs); and cats Mr. B, Mishin, Duncan, Hitchie, Alexey. I've also had them taken care of when we went away. I loved every vet and vet tech there.
