Our builder was there and I was away on business. My wife called me and I had to step out of a function to talk to this guy. I told him we would take care of the subfloor to meet his specs. I spoke to my contractor and within an hour we had a plan. The unprofessional behavior was uncalled for and in the end, when they came out to tile, the subfloor was perfect. I won't use this place again.

The office staff were good to work with, and the crew showed up on time. They were as good as I could hope. This was an important job to me, and they were helpful in many ways. They were all likable and friendly people until things went poorly. Then, it *was* done correctly, to spec, as you no doubt told them, and that is how it is just going to be, sir. (except they don't say sir). A couple of things to look out for. they use contractors, not employees to install the floor. more availability, less responsibility. they drop off the floor partly because they are not installing the floor, a contractor is. The quote was slightly padded. First check what needs to be done, there might be stuff on the quote that is just padding. Afterwards, check what was supposed to be done was done. Get another quote. So, you might go elsewhere. The front end is good, but the back end (final floor) is not ideal but probably an average job. An average floor might be good enough for you. It will have to be good enough for me. I will look down on this floor and Peck's work for a long time.

We have recently completed a major pool/patio area renovation. One of the first things we had to decide (out of so many things!) was the type of pavers we wanted for the pool apron and patio area. Our landscape/masonry company recommended Back Yard Living and Patti in particular. One can easily become overwhelmed at the sheer number of paver selections...various types and colors of stone abound. We took an initial walk through the store as well as outside where they have extensive examples laid out. We eventually narrowed things down but it was Patti who ultimately knew what questions to ask us and helped steer us to our final selection. The pavers and borders have since been installed and we couldn't be happier. We had to return to the store to decide on new pool coping. We hated the pool coping style that was there originially. There are a number of pool edges to choose from. We thought we wanted a flat edge but are happy we went with the "coastal cape design" that Patti showed us and recommended. We had a great experience here.

The mechanic looked at it and didn't think this was the problem, he suggested to look at the sprocket bushings, a common failure item. Turned out it was the bushings ($6 part). Saved me the expense of the differential part ($160 part). Good to know that they are not looking to sell you expensive parts that are not the problem. Trust in repair service is rare these days.

I sent pictures of my front porch telling him I wanted to remove the metal railings and go with vinyl railings. He emailed me saying some contractor named Ray would contact me. I give it a few days and email Frank back asking when can I expect to hear from Ray? He emailed me back saying Ray is very busy with installing fences. Then goes on to say if you want something sooner I suggest you contact a carpenter. So I responded back with "a carpenter, don't they work with wood"? The next email I get from Frank is that he had called Ray telling him not to contact me and for me to find someone else and wished me good luck. I simply asked a very basic question....doesn't a carpenter work with wood? This upset Frank, but what I couldn't understand is why would he suggest a carpenter who works with wood when I wanted vinyl. Maybe they do work with vinyl, and I misunderstood but he could of at least explained himself, instead of being rude. But I figured maybe Frank is at that age where his prostate is acting up and he has issues with leakage and he had his depends on backwards!

The transfer switch was fried. I called Multi State and Jake agreed to stop by on his way home that afternoon. He completely disconnected the switch and was able to order the replacement. He did a great job with the replacement installation and making sure everything was set. I would definitely not hesitate to call in the future if needed!
