Salmon Cake Bites | Cream of Crab
    Alisha M.

I didn't eat in the restaurant so I can't speak to the customer service but I ordered a medium cream of crab soup & salmon cake bites. I wish I could give them a 3.5 rating because the salmon bites were really good. Perfect ratio of meat to filling. I would have preferred them slightly cooked more to create a crisp but they were still very delicious. The cream of crab soup was decent. No complaints on the amount of crab, I just wanted a bit more flavor. I would order from the restaurant again. If you like food adventures follow me on instagram & TikTok @melrosemunchies

Ordered to go. Expected fried chicken but the chicken was baked, maybe it's fried on certain days? The Mac and cheese and chicken weren't really seasoned well but was okay. The best tasting dish were the greens. Can't speak to the service or ambiance.

1 Crab cake with Hush Puppies and Cabbage Medley

I ordered pickup via the curbside service so I can't speak much to the restaurant itself; however, the employee I spoke to was very nice. The food was very mediocre compared to other seafood spots, but if you're looking for a quick bite to eat to satiate a seafood craving this may be the place for you. The best item in my order were the hush puppies and the clam strips. The fried oysters lacked the juiciness I was looking forward too and were fried too hard. The cabbage medley wasn't favorable for me either. The crab cake was quite bland, but very meaty I just wish it was better seasoned.

Good quick service.. Wasn't too busy for a Sunday afternoon. i ordered the stuffed shrimp with white rice and candied yams. Took about 10/15 mins to come out and everything was fresh and hot... Good service and big portions... Plenty of seating available, tvs to watch the game and full bar, plenty of parking outside as well.. Good spot for a good menu..

She was a ray of sunshine and gave us help in deciding on menu items. We both ordered salads. I ordered the crab and shrimp Louis salad. And, my friend ordered a chicken salad. Our salads were huge, fresh, and delicious. I really liked the fresh veggies and poached shrimp. I also liked the surprise sprinkle of Old Bay on my seafood. I wasn't a fan of the crabmeat. The dressing was delicious too. My friend liked her chicken salad. She did say her chicken was a little dry. But, she loved all of the fresh veggies and ended up taking the leftovers home. I also ordered the Oreo cheesecake which was delicious. I mean come on now, you combine Oreo's and cheesecake, that is a winning combination and the whipped cream was amazing. The restaurant itself was bright, colorful, and full of sea themed decor. The booth was comfortable and you get 3 hours of free parking in the garage. Again, thanks Fatima for your excellent service. We will definitely be back.

So, let's start with food. Once we were seated and greeted by Sara, we sat around and talked for a bit before deciding what we wanted. The drink menu is wild so I opted for a beer. After all, it is a brewery! I opted for an IPA, my friend also ordered a beer (Dark & Stormy, a dark beer), and the other ordered a drink. Although my beer was 11%, it wasn't bitter and tasted juicy! It was good. I got the fish & chips w/coleslaw, one friend ordered onion rings and the other ordered salmon. Those onion rings were banging! and the coleslaw was pretty good too. Who doesn't love some fish & chips. Sometimes you just want something crispy! Overall, the food was decent. But let's talk about the general store-----------WOW! It's stocked with EVERYTHING!! Mugs, puzzles, seasonings, socks, leggo's, books, anything you can imagine. It's wild! Then......they also have liquor and beer. I'm talking craft beer, good wine, etc. Oh, and let's throw in an ice cream shop. Yes, an ice cream shop. They have everything! Check it out for yourself!

The decor was lovely and the ambiance represented an upscale experience in my opinion. They even offered free champagne and it was good! My friend and I tried: the Sticky Ribs Suya, Jerk-Braised Short Ribs with Curry Pea Risotto, Oxtail Mac & Cheese, and the Suya-Spiced Lamb Chops. All of the food was absolutely delicious, my only gripe would be that the lamb chops didn't come with enough green beans. The "Up All Night" (their version of an espresso martini) was also pretty good. Next time, I'd opt to get a traditional espresso martini though. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and timely. We even left her an extra tip. If I had to make a suggestion, the big ape could be moved elsewhere. It really does take up too much space.

The…read morerestaurant is relocating to Miami, and unfortunately, its sister restaurant Huncho House closed a few months ago as well. Since I've enjoyed both restaurants, I definitely wanted to stop by 1123 one more time before they left. The restaurant is still beautifully decorated and has a really chill vibe. The music was mostly R&B, which fit the atmosphere perfectly. Service was still as great as I remembered it. Our waitress was friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, and offered some great suggestions when I asked for recommendations. I started with the Laugh Now Cry Never cocktail, which kind of reminded me of a Painkiller. It was very fruity and very sweet, so it's one of those drinks where you need to be careful because it doesn't taste nearly as strong as it actually is. For an appetizer, we got the Jollof Rice Arancini. It was pretty good and definitely satisfying, although I thought it was a little dry and slightly overcooked. Even with that, I still enjoyed it and would probably order it again. My friend ordered the Oxtail Ramen. She thought it was okay overall, but the soy egg was aggressively salty. She had the Chicken Ramen back at 1123's soft opening phase and she enjoyed that one a little more. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes were still really good. They were very buttery and flavorful, and this was definitely one of the sides that stood out to me. The Oxtail Mac & Cheese was a first for me at 1123. I actually liked it much more than the version I had at Huncho House. I really enjoyed the pasta they used, and it was much cheesier. The Scallops with Crab Risotto was my absolute favorite. I'm not a huge scallop person, but I do love a good risotto, and the risotto is definitely the star of this dish. I will say I was slightly disappointed because I had this dish at Huncho House a couple of years ago, and the scallops were much bigger and tasted a little less fishy. Even so, the risotto was so good that the dish was still my favorite of the night. We also had the Plantain Bread Pudding for dessert, and it was delicious. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet, which can sometimes be an issue with bread pudding. It was a really nice way to end the meal. All in all, I'm really sad that 1123 is closing and moving out of state. Although I visit Miami occasionally, there are so many amazing restaurants there that I don't know if I would necessarily go out of my way to seek out a restaurant that I've visited a few times before. But I really enjoyed my experiences at 1123 and Huncho House, and I'm glad I was able to visit one more time before they closed. Best wishes to the 1123 team on their move to Miami. I'll really miss this place.

And to say it was underwhelming would be an understatement. I mean this experience might have been worse than the season finale of game of thrones. My wife ordered the oxtails and green jollof rice. For context my wife is Caribbean so I've had my share of delicious oxtail, their oxtail tasted like they simply didn't even try. Now let's get to my food. I ordered the simplest thing on the menu the Steak and Frites. I'll give it to them the frites were pretty decent, but that's where my compliments end. I ordered my steak medium like a decent human being. The first steak came out and tasted like what I imagine an old used tire taste like, it was well done by the way. The next steak that came out 20 minutes later although closer to medium was surprisingly worse. It's was extremely rubbery with zero flavor. All together I would not recommend. The fact they sell this sad excuse for food is baffling. Sincerely, A concerned customer
