Before I start let me start with sharing with you the ThickShake menu small 6.00 regular 8.00 Chocolate Caramel Rocky road Caramello Malteser Apple pie White chocolate & raspberry Pine lime splice Cookies & cream Honeycomb & chocolate fudge Mars bar cheesecake Chocolate brownie Pavlova, passionfruit & white chocolate Sticky date Marshmallow & strawberry Mango, lychee & white chocolate That's right - that's the Thick Shake menu - dessert in a cup - YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. You are going to LOVE it.... but may I suggest you share with a friend or order a small because you will feel sick after drinking a whole cup..... i would Mickys is like an old fashioned diner, with old school foods and desert. I really enjoy eating here - it's one of the few places open beyond 8pm - in fact they're open till Midnight - so its the perfect place to go to grab a late night snack. Their foods great - my favourite is the Salmon Salad which has fried capers which is super delicious and healthy... Expect to see huge vareity from nachos to pasta, to pizza to steak... it's all there but remember one thing - SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT. Prices range between $8 - $28.

This iconic local in Paddington brings in folks seeking good ol' fashioned diner grub. And the guys here do it well. My wife had never been here before, so I took her for lunch the other day. They had a couple of old school booths at the front where one was free to seat on, but as soon as she saw the outside seating we nabbed a cozy spot under a cool massive tree. It was like a mini oasis. Now looking at the menu, it was exciting for the new timer. My wife has a sweet tooth so naturally got excited at the range of desserts, sundaes, cakes and especially the thickshakes. Can't imagine finding that many flavours anywhere else in Sydney. But we were too hungry for dessert so we both had the Micky's burger (mine was with the extras of bacon, gruyere cheese and dill pickles). It filled up us pretty quickly so unfortunately didn't get to try their desserts. Definitely next time round. They also great daily specials and have $10 meals during the week which would probably keep this place consistently busy. Maybe we might see you there?

The great thing about Micky's in Paddington is they are open until midnight, so you can go to a lateish movie at the Chauvel and then pop over for dinner. What is not so great is that the food is nothing special. It's okay, but just okay. There is nothing on the menu, which really blows me away and I paid $28.50 for a Shepherds pie, which was basically like a $10 pub meal. However maybe customers have started feeling like I do and stopped going there as I have noticed they are now doing $10 special nights, such as a $10 Mexican night, although you have to add another $3 if you want meat???!!! They also have a $10 burger night, pasta, fish and chips and schnitzel nights, this makes it more worthwhile. I think it's popular as it is a trendy atmosphere. I would go back after the movies, but only for the $10 special.

Mars bar cheesecake thick shake - so much decadence in one glass! This is a cute diner-style place with an excellent drinks and desert menu - come hungry.

The real knockout in this establishment are their banana smoothies. It might depend on who also makes them, yet every time I have come to hang out here (great lunch and hang out spot, either alone or with one other person) the smoothies are so indulgent and divine, and the ambience is quite civilised making it worth your while. A great, cosy cafe. Has stood the test of time, and there are no surprises as to why. A must visit establishment if you are ever in Paddo and you would like to recharge and/or unwind. Nice one!

It's almost like they took someone's unused back yard and properly used the space to creatively make " awesome "!!! Really massive fan of the artwork that leads you to the front door. The staff is nice and helpful and they were able to keep the table water flowing. Asking for some extra special sauce was also a non issue. I really enjoyed my meal. Highly recommend if you're in the local area and want a bite of eat with " cool " thrown in for good measure!

I love a cafe where i can make myself comfortable, read my book or newspaper and take my time over…read morea snack or a few cups of tea or coffee. Gusto is not that kind of place for me. It is more of a quick cuppa or take away sandwich place. Not knocking it in any way. I've had a fairly decent bite to eat there and my chai tea was good, albeit not quite hot enough. i just didn't find it comfortable enough to want to hang around beyond my food and drink. It's really small inside and the tables and chairs are pretty close together so you feel a bit squashed and conspicuous. It seems to me that it is more of a meeting place for a coffee and perhaps a treat (of which there are some delicious looking ones) And I don't suppose it claims to be anything else either. Its right there on Fiveways, that great junction in Paddington. So a better location you could not ask for and many of the pre-prepared lunch meals were sold out by the time I got there later on in the afternoon, so clearly it is fairly popular. For all I know it could be legendary with the locals! it was my first visit though and first impressions were 'nice, but nothing too special.'

Gusto is the perfect place to let the day pass by as you sip a macchiato and munch on sweet treats. This café and delicatessen reminds me of ones you would find in Europe, with locals socializing here habitually. My cappuccino was above average and executed with precision. Their banana bread is a divine slice of heaven on a plate. I also tried a fudge brownie with chocolate chips that was intensely sweet but packed an equally strong cocoa punch. Gusto also sells a variety of fresh paninis, wraps, and salads that will tickle anyone's taste buds. I would suggest that you try your hardest to get a seat outside to marvel at the harbor views. Also, you're a people-watcher like me, this is the place to do it. People flock to Gusto on a regular basis, so you might find yourself waiting to get a seat. Even so, you can still experience their tasty sandwiches on the go. The servers aren't very approachable or welcoming, but they do their job well.

The chorizo hot dog was very heavy! Any meat eater would love this. Because the staff were slowly transitioning into their summer menu, we got to sample a few delicious summer cocktails including a Gin Mojito, A strawberry & Aperol spritz and their famous salted caramel espresso martini! Zena who was our waiter for the evening was very kind and helped explain all the dishes as well as recommend the favourites. Finally, the dessert was one of the best I've ever tasted! It was more like an ice cream sandwich which consisted of frozen banana cheesecake + Nutella in between two white chocolate chip cookies accompanied with coffee & Kahlua foam in a cup. There was a party in my mouth! And it was amazing! Who knew this cute little cafe existed! Overall, was a pleasure to go try out the menu and i will definitely be back as a paying customer just to have that dessert again!
