This beach is located in Ponte Vedra about a fifteen minute drive from my house in Nocatee. It has a free parking lot that can accommodate many cars, as well as a bathroom, and two shower areas. There is also a walkway that takes you out to the beach, which makes it easier to walk. There is also a little free book library, which is a nice recent addition.

Absolutely love the beach! It's one of my favorites one in town. Christine and plenty of showers, changing rooms and restrooms. I love how emergency vehicles have their own path in the sand for safety.

I wanted to come here so badly after finding out this beach has shark teeth and it did not disappoint! We came in the evening after work and I found 8 shark teeth and we stayed until the sun went down. Plenty of parking and easy to find, although you do have to go through a lot of residential area to get here. We went again a couple days later and it was beautiful but no shark teeth:( It was packed this day because of President's Day, but still found parking. The beach was superrrrr packed this day though. Will be coming here each time I come back to Jax!

Took a day trip to Jacksonville and visited Mickler's Beach. It is our second time we have been here and simply adore it. They have a private parking lot that is free. They have several changing rooms and about 6 showers and also have restrooms. The walk to the beach is pretty simple walking in a boardwalk or a mat to get to the beach and there is a small hill very easy. This area is extremely beautiful with huge beach homes as the landscape in the back and the beach in the front. People have their dogs and leashes and everyone we encountered here is very friendly and cheery. It was crowded but everyone spread out pretty well. This beach is known for their shark teeth and people walk around searching for them here. I tried the first time but I couldn't find any. No luck and that's fine. The water was so perfect and warm but cool at the same time. I definitely love this beach and will be back again and again. This beach is dog friendly as all beaches in Jacksonville area are. They are on leashes for the most part here.

Micklers beach is always a fan favorite. I go here at least twice a month to look for shark teeth! Unfortunately there has been less and less so you should go now while there are still some out there! They have bathrooms and showers outside and there is always a lovely crowd.

Very clean and easily accessible beach in Ponte Vedra. Free parking, bathrooms, outdoor showers are conveniently located at the entrance from the adjacent parking lot. Arrive early before 9:30 AM during the summer weekdays if planning on staying most of the day for close parking. Publix is located approximately 1.5 miles before the beach so you can pick up food/beverages. Other convenient shops located close by too. Looking forward to returning on a weekend too soon!

A lot of park long but come early it does get crowded. Nice bathrooms close by the beach access. Dog friendly and THE best shark teeth finds! Can't wait to come back.

First sit on the beach day since beginning of March;)

Mickler's Beach is located in Ponte Vedra roughly 15 to 20 minutes from my house. I have visited this beach on several occasions in the past few years. The parking lot is free and is a decent size. Ponte Vedra reopened for sunbathing May 4, where Jacksonville Beach remained open for exercise only. It had been nearly two months since I sat on the beach so I headed for an evening of relaxing in my beach chair. I also picked this beach because there was a wide path to the beach from the parking so you are not required to pass anyone at a close distance. There were also plenty of showers for washing off the sand as well as bathrooms and changing rooms. This is a nice alternative to the Jacksonville beaches as it is a residential area. It was pretty crowded that day as you would have thought it was the weekend. But with the beaches being closed for so long to anything other than exercising it was to be expected. However it was not so crowded that you were unable to social distance.

I seem to always pronounce the name of this beach wrong and my husband is always condescending enough to correct me. Micklers (Mike-lers) beach is small but busy! Ponte Vedra's little gem of a park is also getting upgraded with new bathrooms- for now, hold it or brave the port-o-let. Lucky for me- I was just on the beach for sunrise and moonrise today! I was shocked to see so many cars in the parking lot for sunrise and when we returned in the evening the lot was nearly full! Popular- yes! I love the beach- no question about it. I have yet to find sharks teeth here- but I need to really commit to looking! Today was just picture taking and enjoying the views.

So I went to the beach yesterday(09.02.19) with the intent of taking reference photos so that I would be able to see the visual effects that Dorian's wrath would leave .. Matthew devastated our beautiful dune's... Sometimes our minds pull back the image that was another moment of truth, instead it's the reality of it..You know, we want to hold on to the pretty parts of everything.. (Hence SM sites) It's the way we stay sane and in our own lane.. Oh what a wonderful morning I had on the beach.. The cloud parades were just beyond wonderful (Grinch/the Beast & The Joy of painting Robert Ross all rang in the new day w/me) As well as the electrical energy that was rolling onto the beach .. There is something about when a major storm coming in that the beach truly comes alive in a whole new way.. For all of you that took the time to look my through my images I appreciate it more than you know.. I hope that they will bring you a smile to your face & maybe make you want to come to the beach one day.. The beach is all about Mother Nature.. All you have to do is show up be present in the moment.. Forget your worries & enjoy the energy..I promise you'll leave the beach feeling at peace.. Namaste..Be safe all my Florida Amigo(a)s

My best friend lives in Jacksonville and this is her beach. It was so beautiful and tranquil. I live in a different area of Florida, so I am used to the beach. However, as any Floridian knows every beach is different. This beach was quite busy, but there weren't so many people that you couldn't get personal space. I honestly was able to focus on the waves and the beauty and the masses disappeared. The beach is covered in millions of shells that have shark teeth scattered throughout. It isn't covered in a fashion that seems dirty or polluted though like some beaches I have been to. It was very clean and nice to walk along. It is gorgeous and a nice place to swim or lay out too. I found 8 shark teeth and after that I was satisfied and stopped to enjoy the beach. My friend found 27 shark teeth (she has the eye for it and her kids collect them). Most of our finds were on the smaller side, but she has found larger teeth here before too. The best place to look for the teeth was closer to the edge of the water. We also visited during low tide (it was unintentional, but beneficial). The parking area was a bit of a mess when I visited due to construction. However, it was free to park. I also know that this is a temporary situation with the construction. The beach was so tranquil and beautiful that I completely forgot about it. To warn you, there is a lot of water and sand dumped everywhere. You will probably need to clean your car thoroughly after a visit. There is a feet washing station and shower that is open. However, you will get your feet and shoes messed up getting back to your car from that area. I enjoyed my visit immensely and I cannot wait to return!

I was looking a fun but family friendly beach. From minute my friends and I got there, it was amazing. Plenty of parking and not over crowded. The facilities include changing rooms restrooms and showers. I just wish they had a food truck or place where to buy ice cream.

Mickler's Landing is such a nice, clean, relaxing, dog friendly, & family friendly beach. I went on Labor Day & everyone was socially distancing even though it was crowded. Much better than Jacksonville Beach for sure. Only downfall is the parking situation you have to have extreme patience it took me about 10-15mins of riding around to find a spot which requires someone to leave. They do have shuttle parking which I do not think is free. Overall had a wonderful time, I will continue making the 35 min drive when I want to go to the beach.

Best public beach in Ponte Vedra, big parking lot, bathrooms available. Beach is huge, parking is difficult on weekends.

I will say I think the city was strategic about the amount of spaces available at each opening. The reason being it allows those visiting the beach not to feel overly crowded and you feel more spaced out, which is really nice. There is a $3 parking fee. Once you park, head to the little stand where there's a map and some blue envelopes. Take an envelope, put your $3 in the envelope, tear off the parking tag, and put that in your car. My recommendation, pay the $3, not only is it required, but also, the funds go to maintaining this amazing beach. We parked, put our $3 in the envelope, and walked up to the stairs. I will say, if you have a wagon, stroller, cart, this isn't the location of where you should be parking. We didn't feel like going to the second parking location, so my husband and I had to carry the cart up and down the stairs. Thank you to the good samaritan, who saw me struggling to pick up my side of the wagon, and helped us. Once we made our way down to the beach, we picked a spot, and set up our stuff. For it being the fourth of July, it wasn't overly crowded. It may have helped that we got there super early. The water was warm, the beach was clean, and people seemed to really respect everyone's space. I enjoy looking for sharks teeth and shells. It was a beautiful beach day and a great way to unwind as a family. Pros: -Clean beach -Parking available -Lots of room to spread out -Beautiful expansive beach Cons: -No bathrooms Tips: Be sure to bring $3 with you to pay for parking.

This area of Jax Beach is residential, so there isn't a parking lot full of spaces, but they did have on street parking. I found a spot that was in front of a house and behind my sister's car and opted to park there. Parking was easy and it's not super busy in this area, due to it being residential. After parking, Nugget and I had about a block walk, which isn't bad. Beware, if you have a toddler they'll want to help lug some of your stuff to the beach, but after about a minute exclaim "Mommy, can you carry this?". Luckily I traveled pretty light. There's a small walkway that leads to the beach, which is half wood and half sand. The beach is pristine, with a ton of places to sit. We came on a cooler and cloudier day, so our experience may not be the typical experience. When the tide is out, there are long stretches to walk, so you can get your exercise in, or take a leisurely walk. The beach was clean and equipped with garbage cans. I would most certainly come back to this location. Pros: -On street parking only a block away from the beach -Clean beach -Long stretches of beach to walk/exercise -Quiet Cons: -No bathrooms Tips: Make sure you park in a designated on street parking spot and don't block someone's driveway.
