We came on over to Mickey's pub before catching a show downtown on a random Friday. The place is both a pub/restaurant as well as a movie theater where you can enjoy food from said pub/restaurant during the movie. It's also the only movie theater in town that will except credit cards... More of a comment on the other movie theaters then anything else. The places nicely laid out, has lots of TVs, a nice bar area, plenty of high top seating as well as a number of booths and tables. The fireplace along the north wall makes the place feel more cozy than it would otherwise. It's a very nice touch! We joined another couple and shared some fries, some gouda bites - which were awesome!, And my wife and I shared one of the pub Burgers. It was a solid one! Good size, well flavored and probably purchased from Costco if we are being realistic! The beer and wine selection is not gigantic, however it definitely doesn't leave you wanting for much. Quality spot, especially if you're interested in the First world problem of deciding what you want to eat while you go out to a movie. read more

Wanted to try out the place for dinner. Place looked pretty packed so we were hoping for a good time. We got seated, big party. Unfortunately, no one ever came to our table even after we have waited over half an hour... We even went up and asked multiple waiters to please come and take our orders. But that did nothing. I have to give them 3 stars: Every time I've come before today, Memorail Day 2023, about 4:30, we've received good service good food. We cam in tonight and were greeted by a pleasant waitress. She took our orders for drinks. 15 minutes later, still no drinks though it was clear the bartender was not busy with other oders. If I could give this place zero stars I would! My family and I were visiting from out of town and the staff were rude- the bartenders and the manager weren't professional! I wouldn't recommend coming to this establishment- not worth it! Stay away from this place! There are movie theatre's in Bellevue and Seattle that I've been to that cost as much as this place that are much more upscale with friendly staff and great food. Underwhelmed by the lack of service and meh meals. The pub was busy, but there were several open tables and we were told to seat ourselves. No one acknowledged our presence for at least 25 minutes until someone was bussing a nearby table. We were told they were busy because of an event at the Capitol Theater and their own pre-movie diners. Another 5 minutes went by before a server came by with menus. In those 5 minutes, more diners arrived and three more tables near us were filled. The server came back for our order and also took care of the other three tables. Drinks started coming for the other three tables and ours came last. About 10 minutes later we noticed that meals were starting to arrive at the other 3 tables, our meals were so delayed that one of the tables served before us were getting their check when our first plates arrived. The burgers were not juicy nor flavorful and there was no joy in the ahi which was later described as the equivalent of well done pork. We have dined many times in the theaters and the experience has always been positive. So yes, I am disappointed with this experience and did not feel like a valued customer. It won't stop me from being a movie patron, but I will not be back for dinner in the pub itself. read more

Tried to eat on a Thursday night in Yakima.....went in was seated immediately even with a larger party. It looked pretty pack some I was prepared to wait. However it got real, we went over 30mins with no server in sight.. No water nothing. If I could give this place 0 I would. Damn...There were two servers in the area of our table but neither of them ever stopped by. Not sure what the issues was but I left and took my business elsewhere absolutely ridiculous. Worst bartenders ever!!! Rude is understatement. I would not go here find somewhere else to spend your money. I'm embarrassed that they still work there. I know the owner has to know how rude they are and obviously SHE doesn't care. I will not spend any money there ever again. Not wine taster friendly!!! Corking Fee!?!?! I was in town for a legal conference and a bit of wine tasting this past weekend. I purchased a couple of bottles of wine and was looking for a local place to grab dinner. I walked into Mickey's and was immediately told by the "bouncer" that I needed to pay a corking fee for my wine. The wine was all individually wrapped and in a large paper bag. I told him that I did not intend to drink the wine it was a gift and would not be opened. I proceeded to the bar, put the wrapped wine by my feet, and ordered dinner and a beer. The manager came up to to me and told me to pay the corking fee or leave. I told him that I was staying at the convention center, walked there,was just wine tasting, and had no intention of drinking the wine. He repeated that I had to leave or pay the fee!!!!! I called him and the fat bouncer a few choice names and left. How could a restaurant like Mickey's require a corking fee for a wine gift, fully wrapped, that was never going to be opened? If I were local wineries within walking distance I would be concerned by their behavior and corking fee policy. I guess wine tasters should avoid this place or be forced to pay a corking fee on all their bottles. OR, Mickey's just endorses driking and driving and does not want wine tasters on a walking tour to patronize their business. Terrible! read more

My husband and I ate here this evening. It was packed! There was an event at the Capitol Theatre and I believe all three of the Orion theaters were at capacity. We weren't sure if it was seat yourself or if we needed to wait to be seated, so we grabbed the only open (non-bussed) table we could find. The full house led to a delay in service, so much so that we needed to ask for menus (despite being seen by other staff) and for our table to be cleaned. Despite that, once we received our menus and had our table cleared, service got a bit faster, with drinks arriving fairly promptly. We ordered a beer, a michelada, a grilled chicken burger, the waffle-batter chicken bites, and a side salad. The drinks were what we expected (good!) and the food was delicious! Overall, I think it's a great sign Mickey's was so busy this evening and we will certainly visit again to try more things. Pros: local and has a family history; lots of food and drink options and very good selection for those with dietary restrictions; waitstaff are kind; reasonable prices. Cons: two seasonal beers on the menu weren't available; food took a while to be served; kitchen ran out of forks because of capacity. read more

The absolute worst place I think I have ever been to. We were a large group that went into the restaurant and sat in the big corner table. Now it was busy so I will give it that. So I went over and got menus for the entire table. On two occasions I flagged a server down to come to over table and was given the one second response. I even went over to the bar and spoke to two of the four servers they had there and asked to have them come to the table to take our order. After 40 minutes and no one still came to the table and we left. Horrible service. Poor management. Can't tell you about the food as we never got any. Avoid at all cost. read more

Mickey's is great. Pub grub with some interesting twists and curve balls, for example the ahi tuna tacos which are flavorful, delicious and completely unexpected in an establishment offering pub food. By far the worst experience I had at mickies pub. I usually come here for the amazing food. I ordered take out on the phone and I asked if the boiled eggs and black olives I paid extra for in the salad was in it. The guy that gave me the food said yes and when I opened the salad at home there was no eggs or olives included. I proceeded to call the restaurant and told the lady the mistake they made. She had the worst attitude and accused me of trying to get free food when I repeatedly said i just wanted the fix for the salad. She then says that she is not giving me nothing free and that is not how things work. I asked what is with the hostility and she then hangs up the phone on me. I went to the restaurant and asked why she was being super disrespectful towards me and claims I was the one being rude when I just wanted the eggs that i paid for in the salad. Never in my life have I met a manager as rude as this and I believe her name was Alicia. I understand food service but this lady was the most rude manager I have ever met. Won't be dining here again. I asked to speak with the owner and she says go right ahead their pretty much family and they won't do anything about it. read more

I so wanted this to be a great place! We have been here to eat 4 times and it has been HORRIBLE service! Just this last time, we waited 15 mins for someone to come and take our drink order, and it was only us and another table in the whole restaurant. We placed our order with some specifics ie: no tomatoes no Swiss cheese and the order came with exactly that. We would have mentioned this to our waiter, who we found out later was a manager. But he NEVER came back to check on us. Oh and let me mention the time before we had the same waiter and he spilled a beer all over my lap! Hope the can pull it together. .Have yet to hear. I love this place! Awesome atmosphere(I forget I'm in Yakima!) awesome food and friendly service! I've never had a bad experience or bad food until I ordered the rigatoni pasta salad. Maybe it just wasn't hitting the spot but I didn't not enjoy it all and was bummed about the $13 I spent on it. The pasta was undercooked and usually these flavors blend well together but the onions were overwhelming and there was so much dressing it was almost soupy. This won't stop me from eating here again but I wouldn't recommend this dish. The sweet cream corn nuggets are another story! I'll be sad to see these leave the menu! read more

Atmosphere is nice and clean it is connected to a 21 and up movie theater where they serve the same food and drinks to you in your seat. I really do like the bar/movie and it's very central Location down town is nice. Beautiful new establishment! The staff were attentive and friendly and not overly so. We really felt at home. I had a Mickey's mudslide, and it rocked! Unlike anything I've ever had before. Sneaked a bite of my sweetie's Reuben Mac, and it was creamy and savory and quite delicious. Well worth the price,especially for the entertainment. On our way to Cowiche Canyon (the new restaurant/bar in town just up the street), we decided to stop in at Mickey's Pub and give the place a chance before we gave our business to a new recruit in town. Other than the salads (of course), everything else on the menu appeared to be fried or saturated in some fatty substance (with a couple exceptions). While I am no way against greasy fatty food, the Mac & Jack Mac & Cheese not only was very small in portion, it's weak, more fat-than-cheese sauce and cheese, gross little store-bought wieners did not compared to it's $10.95 price. I would have rather eaten macaroni and cheese from a box. Overall, it was a sad waste of the awesomeness what is Mac & Jack's African Amber. In addition, my brother's rum and coke was fairly week, and his $12.95 grilled chicken sandwich was more bread than chicken. My fiance's Guinness battered fish was overcooked with a meager portion of fries. Compared to a price of $11.95 (which was the "special" price), he did not feel it was worth it. And if you're interested in their fry sauce, it's BBQ based, not ketchup. While the waitress was fairly kind, she did not come back after we received our food to check on us, thus never asked us how our food was. Actually, I noticed that servers weren't very attentive to anyone, though most people didn't seem to notice as much. Ambiance was not pleasant, with disproportionate bright and dark spots (mostly dark with a few bright lights shining at you from above). Overall, experience was sub-par. Granted, I did not have any of their other mixed drinks - maybe that's what people go for at this place. However, it was pretty obvious this place doesn't care about the food they serve. Maybe they just had a bad cook the night we went. I just know that I won't be wasting my money there again. If you're down for a more chill, hang loose environment, I would recommend heading over to Shooters just north over on Yakima Ave. Better beer selection (mix drinks not necessarily cheaper, FYI), and the servers are very nice. read more

The food is great, but beware of paying cash when ordering in the theater. I put 20.00 down on the tray for a $15.36 order, and the waitress never brought back the change. I tip generously as a rule, for good wait service, however, that wasn't the case so much last night. So she ended up with a $4.64 tip that equates to almost a full 3rd of my bill. Beautiful new establishment with cozy fireplace both inside and on patio. A bit noisy, mediocre service, even on a Tuesday evening. Overpriced, small portions--not much for value. Pretty unique experience sitting in a comfy lounge chairs with push button service. I must admit I believe movies look better with a cold drink. It's a combination theatre and a bar in front. 21 and up only. A bit pricey though and portions are terribly abundant. read more
