This was actually our first time *ever* going to a bar, and our visit here completely ruined the experience for us. After about 10-15 minutes, a staff member asked to check our ID's. My partner attempted to use a digital version of his ID, and the staff member (in an extremely rude tone) said that he had to leave if he couldn't provide proper ID. Totally get that. He tells her that he'll go to his car to get his physical ID, and immediately gets up after their conversation ends. Another 15 minutes rolls around, and the same staff member has came to our table plenty of times. My partner has his ID out to show her. Never comes around until someone from our party gets up to complain about the slow service, and mentions that my partner and I are also still waiting. The staff member tells the person from our party that my partner supposedly left because he couldn't provide an ID. They mention that he only left to retreive his ID from the car, which was communicated to the staff member earlier. A few minutes later, this staff member comes storming up to my partner and begins YELLING and POINTING HER FINGER in his face. She asks him what his deal is, exclaiming that he didn't have his ID, etc. My partner tries to explain that he got it from his car, but she wouldn't even let us get a word in. After a few minutes of her just completely berating us in front of our ENTIRE party and bar, he asks if everything is okay now that he has his physical ID. The staff member begins quizzing him, not believing that it's actually his, and asks him to verify his name and birthdate. Obviously he passed, and she gives him back the ID. Right after, she turns to me and yells, "What do you want?!" I was completely taken aback, not realizing that she was trying to take my drink order. We place our order and attempt to enjoy the rest of the night, but the staff member wouldn't stop bothering us about Washington State laws. I swear she came over 5 times, just completely berating us and making us feel insanely uncomfortable. If you read this review and think, well duh. You need an ID to get into a bar. Let me once again clarify that it was our first time *ever* visiting a bar. I completely understand that this staff member was trying to protect herself and the business from serving alcohol to underage individuals, but the treatment we faced was out of line. There was no reason for her to be screaming at us, pointing her finger in my partner's face, or consistently bothering us about laws throughout the rest of our visit. It could've been resolved in a much better manner. Ultimately, we won't be returning to the Lotus Room, which totally sucks because we love their whole concept of drinks and karaoke. In fact, we probably won't feel comfortable in the bar scene for a while. My one recommendation for the Lotus Room is that if you're going to scream in customer's faces, get someone to check ID's at the door.

Let me just start by saying that I always give establishments 3 tries, no matter what the first two…read moreexperiences were. With that said, I really wanted to like this place, but after about giving it 5 tries, I gave up and decided that it's just not the right place for us. 1st: It's not much of a lounge, and more of a club (the music is loud and you can't hold a conversation). I really like the decor; is simplistic and artsy. There is a cover charge and it doesn't make any sense to me. Seattle lounges don't charge a cover. Nightclubs do. Security is selective on what the dress code is, and has no sense of what current style trends are. Also, if you are a woman, dress like you are about to charge for a lap dance, and you are sure to get in and maybe at no cost! It's a Jersey Shore attire kind of place, so please get your GTL on before you hit this place. 2nd: If you want a well crafted cocktail, don't go here. Several times I have requested cocktails and the cocktail waitress has come back asking "the bartender wants to know how that is made?", or "what is in that?". Not the waitresses fault. I can say that they have all been amazing. One time I asked for a Boston Sour and after sending it back twice she handed me a glass of Makers Mark with a splash of lime juice; I lied and told her it was perfect and didn't drink it. Also, I asked if the bar made their own sour mix, she went to the bartender and came back and said "yes", and that is not the case. Lastly, if you go up to the bar to order drinks, if you've got breasts that are in clear view and make-up that is pounded on your face like you are about to frost a wedding cake, you'll get quicker service. Sad, but true. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place, but it is so petite bourgeoisie. For a great cocktail and nice appetizers, I suggest Carousel or Five North. But, If you want to dance in a small oddly placed dance floor amongst people that are trying too hard, and party style drinks and shots, this is the place for you.

This place was packed when my entourage arrived around 12. Sign of a great club! The only thing I felt needed improvement was the dancefloor. It looks like a 2-wall room with a pillar on one corner. Kinda weird. Other than that, this club (or lounge) is one of my favorite places for drinks and dancing!

Stopped at Bill's Place while I was in Yakima and got an order to go. I was really impressed with…read moreeverything I tried. I got the traditional cheeseburger and added an extra patty. It is kind of like a smash burger, but the patties are actually decently thick and still have that really good grilled crust on the outside. The burger was cooked really well and the bun was one of the best parts. It is bigger and a little heavier than a normal burger bun, and it held everything together really well. I also got the buffalo wings and thought they were really good. You get a great portion for the price and they had plenty of flavor. I also tried the grilled cheese with bacon added. It comes on sourdough and was grilled perfectly. Really simple, but really good. The fries were also very good, although I definitely recommend eating them right away while they are hot. They did not hold up quite as well after sitting in the takeout box for a while. I only went inside long enough to pick up my food, but the bar itself was actually really nice. It had a much better atmosphere than I was expecting. If I am ever back in Yakima, I would definitely stop in again and actually sit down for a burger and a drink.

We've always sat in the main part of the Tavern, but the first person arriving chose to sit in the side room which seems to be a back-up supplies room with a long table for guests since it was quieter. It was quieter. No matter the sitting location, the service has always been great. I had the Reuben sandwich, and it was excellent--flavorful, well made, and generously portioned. Even better, they actually had horseradish available, which is surprisingly hard to find and made the whole thing even better for me. A solid, satisfying meal with plenty to take home half for the next day. I'll definitely be back.

We quickly decided that this is a place we will be coming back to! It's literally an indoor golf campus with five or six simulation Stations where you get to choose between what seemed like hundreds of different courses and play them with as many or as few people as you'd like, for a predetermined amount of time. They've also got a putting green, and you can bring your own clubs or rent some there. We grabbed one of the stalls for two hours, and five of us had a great time! The set up is pretty quick and you can make it so you can save your information and follow yourself overtime. It's pretty cool to be able to develop a handicap on the simulator! I've got a full bar and basically Gastropub type food. The bacon cheeseburger that I had was quite good, as were the shared nachos, wings and cheese curds. Prices are not outrageous and the beer and liquor selection was actually pretty solid. The place is super relaxed and the service was quick and friendly. This is a spot that I will be back to with friends, and probably a spot I will take my boys to practice. The place chill enough that it's the sort of place you can take kids, your significant other, or meet up with a bunch of buddies. It was nice to not be rowdy, but also to not have to be quiet like on an actual golf course.

I guess some of the dealers from the goose work their too. I've been getting more into poker bar tournaments so I decided to post this review. The experience I had was playing a $230 buy tournament. I didn't win or anything, but a player friend did, or split second maybe. And he was my ride so I was hanging round waiting. This was early last year. Anywho, first and second gave a tip. I don't remember the amount, but it was obvious the dealer running things did not appreciate the amount tipped? he held up the money and was shouting thanks for this large tip or something like that. My fiend and I was pretty sure it was sarcasm. since the room is somewhat professional, I guess the tip amount was insulting? I never went back since $230 is alot to me and my friend paid most of the buyin for me. I asked my friend if he still plays the tournament there while he was complaining and he only plays the big game now not any tournaments since what happened. Sorry I'm not much of a writer, but there it is. Added one star for bar service, the blonde gal working was very nice.
