Buyer and workers beware... this guy owes me 3200 and refuses to pay me and my guys, our agreement was he would pay me for material I put up, and I still have not recieved payment... so if u plan on purchasing from him be carefull unless you want problems... the only reason qork was held up is because the owner billy took over a month to complete a deck that he started after I started the work, and then the owner told me he would pay me whatever I installed on the wall, I have not asked for anything more than I allready worked for, and in regards to a repair not that is due to a roof leak and i am not a roofer...... I was hired for siding only... all you people are trying to do is get over on me, im not awning for any more money for the qork thats not finished, why would I trust anyone to go back and then work more and not get paid.... dont worry I am in the middle of filing a labor lien on the property and file complaint with Lara and the bbb, and trust me this will not be the last you hear from me, I will make it known so anyone else that works for you knows what there going up against, this is horrible business practice, im the little guy, I worked out there for free for over a month waiting on billy to finish deck, when he should have just called after the completion of deck, any good company knows that you do things in phases... get your shit together.... literally its not just me it my guys and there families aswell...... the rest of the stuff there is to finish is also minor things that your company lacked the proper material ordering skills and then u put it on me to figure out, im there for labor only.. not a wise choice to screw the working man over read more

This company, claiming to be a mom-and-pop business, did not keep their appointment with us because we didn't give them the correct number. My wife knows her phone number, but when I tried to reschedule for the next day, they would not come out unless both my wife and I were there claiming that we would not be able to make decisions between the number of the various types of window they had.None of the other, mom and pop or even chain big guys required this, they all just came out and took our measurements gave us a quote talk to me about the product and they gave us a quote, ask why cause they wanted to hard sell sign that day. they were given a chance to make it right and decided, No. Can't imagine if their sales team is like this that their installation team will be much better. Didn't give a crap about my time and they won't give a crap about yours let alone your money. read more

Billy and Mark were able to come out to my downtown Detroit condo with less than a full week's notice to help paint a ceiling: Monday: connected on Yelp hours after submitting the quote request Tuesday, 2:16PM: Contact made over the phone Thursday, 9:18AM: texted PayPal link so I could pre-pay the paint job! Friday, 7:29AM: Text from Billy asking for the address! Friday, 8:39AM: Billy begins paint job by himself! Friday, 8:55AM: Mark (his painting partner) comes to the house Friday, 10:15AM: Job is finished. I supplied the paint, tape, and a 3/4 nap roller for him to do the job, and he got it done fast. Minus one star just because of the cost when compared to other quotes I received, but when I had zero time to lose, I was happy to pay it once Bill confirmed he could come out! i requested a meeting for a quote, which I received a quick response and meeting. seemed good very nice meeting I thought. I showed the plans we talked, was told what they charge x dollars per sqft was given a price. qualified for financing for x amount was told would need x amount, was good with that. said would take about a week for break down, no problem. was told quote was sent, received it and 22.5k more than discussed. totally busted my bubble for the work that I wanted done. I understand that 1st quote may not be right on but come on 30k more out of pocket than talked about? was also told they were doing a job bigger than mine, won't say price but mine was more than a bigger project? just shocked. I will say I will change this if we come to some kind of agreement and the work gets done. but what i really wanted to know is if anyone else has had this same issue? dont know how you can get a quote for one price then not even close to the next. read more

Do not get a home inspection from these guys!! I needed a last minute home inspection and these guys said they were available. They wanted $800 for the inspection and sewer scope. I asked why they were considerably more than competitors and the guy told me basically he's the best and the city calls him when they need inspections. The day came and he sent out a student who didn't even have a license. He was extremely unorganized and didn't know basic facts about the house. I needed the report ASAP and he took 48 hours to get it to me. He just sent me a bunch of pictures and then a 4 page report that looks like it was made by a child. I needed this report to know if I should put an offer on a house and it was completely useless. Oh! And I was never even able to see the sewer scope cuz the guy couldn't figure out how to send it right. If it didn't cost me $800 I would almost find it funny. I explained this to Bill and asked for a refund and he just said no.. honestly I feel like I got scammed. An absolute joke please don't use them for inspections. I can't speak to their other work but if it's anything like their inspections you should run. read more

Don't show when you call. Repeatedly. They did very poor quality work for me costing me thousands of dollars to pay someone else to fix their shoddy work. Billy and Michigan Home Improvement make you fully prepay. Look elsewhere. read more
