We hired this small downriver "recommended" contractor for some basic rental property repairs to pass our CFO inspection. Biggest mistake ever.
What was supposed to be a simple 7-day job, done by April 11, turned into a total nightmare.
From Day 1, this company was a joke.
Instead of doing the job they were paid for, they tried to upsell $6000 for roofs we didn't need -- even after we made it very clear we only wanted basic fixes for the city inspection.
Before they even started, all plumbing passed inspection -- but somehow, on their first day, the outdoor spigot got "accidentally" broken. They tried blaming it on us when they broke it trying to use the hose. We argued, let it slide, and kept it moving just to get the job done.
After every little half-done job, the owner was begging for money -- $100 here, $100 there -- always some excuse: "I can't pay my workers," "I need a babysitter," "I have to leave early."
It was endless whining.
He even screwed up the contract math and argued about that too, instead of owning his mistakes.
Then came the front door fiasco. He called right off jump to complain about having to drill holes on the universal door.
Five trips later, and many texts of bull shit excuses he couldn't hang a simple door properly. Screws falling out, door flopping around, and still no wind chain installed like promised.
He blamed the frame.
We told him flat out (and it's in text): if you find something wrong, tell us. A real contractor would fix it the right way.
Instead, he just made more excuses.
I finally had enough.
I cussed him and his trash crew out.
Then he sent me a text --saying my husband wanted him to "n-rig" the job (using the hard R).
Yeah. Full-on racist. And dumb enough to put it in writing. If we wanted a half-assed job we wouldn't have complained and made him fix the crap job 5 times from the start .
I'm beyond furious.
And now, I'm making sure everyone in the community knows exactly what kind of business this is.
If he'll lie, cheat, do garbage work, AND send racist messages -- he'll do it to anyone.
