I have had consistently good services here...usually a manicure and pedicure. They are ok if I bring my own polish and will do a buffing manicure. The only thing I wish is that they would soak my fingers in warm soapy water instead if using the lotion gloves. I don't know why salons have stopped doing the soak, doesn't seem to cost more or take more time than the gloves and works better for my cuticles. Oh well... otherwise, they do a neat job on nails and toes. And I appreciate that the salon is usually quiet vs blasting music. p.s. But I still miss Zen, they were The Best Ever! read more

I've just moved to the area and was looking at different nail salons and came across this little gem. I walked in to check it out and made an appointment the very next day. The salon is super clean as they wrap their pedicure tubs with protector slips. The service was perfect, Lisa at the front desk is very helpful! Jenny was my girl that did my mani/pedi and it was great. They listen to you and I even added on extra massage. You can tell Jenny was trained in reflexology as this was also wonderful and my nails look great! I've already been back to the salon with the same great experience and will be booking a spa package for the next time I come!! Been here twice now and I really love Michelle's. This is the most calm salon I've even been to and I always leave relaxed. So far I've gotten a gel mani with a regular pedi and have been very satisfied with both. The massage chairs are awesome! My manicurists have both taken their time and my gel manicure has lasted 3-4 weeks (probably more but I wanted to get a color change). I found the staff to be very friendly and not as "chatty" as in most salons. (Although chatter doesn't bother me, I chat at work all day). They put hot oil on your heals during the pedicure and plastic gloves on your hands with lotion in them (keratin?) for the manicure. They give you a quick but nice lower leg and neck massage. Took my mom there for a mini spa day and we had a lovely time. Highly recommend. read more

I have never had gel polish , but a friend recommended it because it lasted her one month. So I had a manicure done for $30 ($40, with tax and tip) and by the next day, one nail had chipped! I went back and showed owner and she redid the one nail. By the next day, 3 more had chipped! So I went back. Owner not there, but a worker looks at my nails and said "sometimes gel doesn't work if your nails are dry." Really? They were dry because I had just peeled off the polish! So she recommend a regular polish and wants to charge me! Bottom line--the nail the owner did was very solidly on and didn't peel off. I literally peeled the other 9 off. I don't know what pisses me off more--that they have technicians who don't know what they are doing or that this other tech was ready to charge me after 3 days with gel polish. This place is absolutely awful. I initially came in for a gel manicure pedicure. Got both and within days my nails all came off and my toes were fully chipped. My gel toes usually last anywhere between 6 weeks to a month. I called and the manager told me I could come in for a free gel manicure within the month. I just left and can not believe my experience. In the end I had 3 technicians complete my nails, the first one stormed off outside and refused to do my nails for no apparent reason. Sat outside on the fire hydrant texting or something. She then told me I had to wait for another woman who was in the middle of a manicure with a client. Mind you - there were free technicians sitting around doing nothing in the 15 minutes I waited. One of them being the male technician I made an appointment with but refused to do my nails. I was given no explanation for that. He sat in a pedicure massage chair as I waited. Also, 3 woman were sat down and taken care of while I waited. Finally I sat down with a new technician who told me the color I chose was ugly because it was the color of my skin. She then got up and left and had another woman polished my nails. Overall - horrible experience and to top it off - horrible manicure. Through all of this I was not rude or confrontational. They were just all mean and unprofessional. I would strongly advise everyone to not go to this establishment. read more

First time customer. I got a gel mani done exactly one week ago and just a few days after, the gell started to lift and peel. The Manager did my nails. She rushed through the process so that she could get started on other women who walked through the door. She did not put the final clear gel coat on my right hand nor did she rub the cuticle oil in after I had to keep reminding different employees that it was not complete as she left me to start another client. The job was messy so much so that another employee had to fix 2 nails after it had already been set with the UV. The cuticle job was also choppy. I'm not exaggerating but this is the worst experience I have ever had. This is exactly why I will continue to commute to the ues for my nails.. don't waste your money here... read more

I had a wonderful experience! This place is brand new, (it's located where the Radio Shack was on 72nd) so it's squeaky clean. The girl at the front desk was very sweet and overall the service was great. I got a mani/pedi for $37, which included a neck massage while your nails are drying, which I thought was a nice touch! They also have a membership card which gives you 5% back that can be used toward a future service. I've tried several different nail salons in the area, and this was by far the nicest. Just came from Michelle's Nail Spa with my 2 daughters. We're just staying in the city for the weekend and all needed mani's. We were really impressed with the quality of this shop. The staff is very friendly, professional, the shop is very clean and they use disposable plastic liners in the pedi spa tubs. They also use warmed up plastic gloves with lotion inside to slip onto your hands to soften them really nicely. And they listen well to requests. They were prompt and efficient. I was a first time walk-in and was immediately impressed by the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. They patiently helped me pick out a color and my technician did an impeccable job on my manicure. I've been coming here for pedicures consistently all summer. At first I thought their quality was surprisingly good considering their prices, however after the past couple of visits, I'm starting to see where they cut corners -- in the actual polish. My pedicures usually last three, sometimes even four weeks. However, after the second week, the color starting to chip off almost all of the nails. I went back today to get a fresh coat, but on two of the nails I see that the pink is very obviously swirled with white. They're obviously adding mixers to extend the shelflife of their bottles, thereby diluting the polish. Very disappointed in this deceiving practice. I understand businesses need to try to curb costs, but this is a blatant ripoff. Will not be returning. read more

I've been there twice, the first time it was ok nothing to be crazy about. Both times the lady that did my pedicure rushed and was not that good. On the nails side the first time I really liked it, it was an older Asian looking lady. The second time my nails were done by a different Spanish lady. Great place! Came in on a Tuesday afternoon, there was no wait and a great deal on a mani-pedi. Service was good, the place is very clean and well circulated. Poor quality manicure. Stopped in for gel mani and the lady cut my nails to stubs when I asked them to be left long. 3 nails chipped within a day and a half.
