This lady is amazing. She came highly recommended from my friend and she exceeded my expectations. Her personality is very friendly, courteous, and professional. The work she did on my coat was perfect. One fitting, and she got it perfect. I will definitely go back to this lady. read more

I went to Michelle to hem a bridesmaid dress a week before the wedding. She did a great job and had it back to me a day earlier than I needed even on such short notice. She charged me a fair price to hem my dress ($40), which seemed very reasonable to me. I would call ahead to set up a time to come by because it's a one woman show and if she is busy taking measurements for another customer, you'll have to wait for them to finish up. read more

Michelle hemmed a floor-length lace and sequins dress for me. She's very knowledgeable. I would have completely messed it up if I'd gone somewhere else. Great price. Ready on time. And, most importantly, amazing job! read more

Very expensive for alterations and she told me it was going to be ready by Tuesday and told me to come in and when I got there she hadn't even started on the dress. I needed it for Thursday before I went out of town. Everything was a huge mess and it didn't seem organized at all. read more

I came to Michelle's with only a week to go before being in a wedding. I needed the bridesmaid dress let out a little and hemmed. Michelle was very friendly and helpful. Her store was a bit disorganized like other reviews say, but honestly, I haven't been to a good alterations place that wasn't. She was nice and welcoming. She did a fantastic job on the dress too!! It was much more inexpensive than I thought it would be on a such a short notice. I will definitely use her again for future alterations! read more

Michelle is a LIFE SAVER! She is always going above and beyond to help her customers out. If you are loyal to her, she will do anything to help you. I recommend everyone to her! read more

Michelle is great, she may be a little eccentric but everything she does is amazing. Just a tip if you need something quickly or by a soon dead line be sure to call to remind her. She did wonders to fix my friends wedding dress when the alterations people at david's messed it up. She also didn't charge me an arm and a leg for my bridesmaid dress either. I have brought over 5 or 6 items to her and its always been impeccable work. read more

I brought 2 pair of jeans to Michelle and she did incredible. I had spent about $100 on one pair in the past 2 years trying to get the perfect fit but could never get what I wanted. I told Michelle and she took about 30 minutes making sure they fit the exact way I wanted. I then brought a suit jacket to her a few days ago and she again took 30 minutes to make sure it looked great. Not to mention she is the sweetest!!! read more

This business is conveniently located and Michelle is inexpensive. However, after going to her between 6 and 12 times I have decided not to go back. I always leave feeling frazzled and put off and this last time was the last straw - I was so offended by the rude way she spoke to me this time that I was upset the rest of the day. I am a paying customer and don't need to spend my money to be snapped at and criticized. Sorry, Michelle. I gave you my best shot but will be going elsewhere. read more

Michelle is......Michelle. She is disorganized, a total mess as is the place. But she has a good heart and does a good job and is inexpensive. That's all I really care about. read more

I wish I could rate this businesses work, but they were not interested in taking my businesses. When I arrived, they were on the phone. They were also attending to another customer, and then on the phone again. When they finally addressed me they said it would be 20 minutes before they could help me. I said that would be fine, I'd come a long way and they'd been highly recommended. This seemed to visibly upset the woman who then explained all the reasons why waiting would be a bad idea. As a retail manager of 15 years of experience I can report that this is either one of two things; a business that cannot keep up with the customers it already has or a business owner that bears some prejudice towards a certain kind of customer and wants to run them off. Maybe I didn't look "Metairie" enough to warrant to be her clientele? Who can say. At either rate, find someplace else to have your suit altered. read more

I have gone to Michelle about four times and love her work. I have always been pleased and my items are always ready when they're supposed to be. Michelle has a dry sense of humor and a strong asian accent, so just be patient with her. I find that she delivers quality work and I recommend her beyond hesitation. read more

She is an excellent seamstress. A lovely woman. Sometimes she is late, but always has it the next day. She has offered to delivery when she is late, but I know she doesn't have the time. Her prices are reasonable and her work has been excellent ! read more

Michelle is Michelle as the other review stated!!!! If you need something right away maybe she is NOT the one, however, she does a fabulous job and has always made me a happy customer!!!! She has repaired many expensive items for me and is an EXPERT when it comes to designer jeans and their hems - looks like you just bought it. Great job Michelle - you are worth any headache!!!! read more

Michelle's work has really gone down. She was totally unorganized and told me after a month my dress wasn't ready, because she works on people that call to remind her that they need something. She seemed totally flustered, and frankly, not friendly like she used to be. Maybe had a bad month? I for one am not going back. read more

I cannot recommend this business. So convenient within Old Metairie, but after trying Michelle on 4 separate occasions I only come away frustrated. My items are NEVER ready on time, she always makes excuses, and can be rude and unaccommodating. Today was the last straw. I will not be going back. read more

I have gone to Michelle's for alterations. The first time I came into town from Morgan City not knowing she was closed for business. She happened to be in the shop just to sew on her off day. When she discovered I was in town for the day she had me come over, did my alteration and I was on my way. She definitely did not have to do that. She has my business. And yes...I still drive from Morgan City to go to her. read more
