I thought I had found a great local tailor after my long search but I believe I was just desperate. I spoke so highly of DAT's to so many people but I was wrong. They make you pay in advanced via Venmo or cash. They get the work done fast but only because they don't do it. I have had them tailor a Mardi Gras gown and 2 dresses. I needed it hemmed as I'm 4'11. Simple cut, sew. I got it back a day before the ball to find out it was only cut in the front and I had a long train to drag all night. I thought they just misheard me so I dealt with it and brought back 2 cocktail dresses that needed hemming. I pack them for vacation thinking they were complete but nope. The hem needle that he pinned on me during the try-on is still in the dress 2" above the original seam. It was never touched. Everything I bring in is at least $100. Total rip off. Don't spend your money here :( read more

I am so ecstatic I found Dat's Tailor! Honestly my all around experience was superb and they are so friendly here. The turnaround time was so quick and three pant alterations were ready within 2-3 business days. Hours are quite expansive so you can still make it on Saturday for pickup before 5pm. I paid $9 per pant and they had a fitting room for me to try the pants on and do individual pinning. It's cash only but with easy street parking and swift service, I'll be coming back for additional alteration needs. read more

Just days before a special event my husband and I needed some new suits tailored. This was not just a hem of the sleeves on the jacket or pant legs. One of our jackets needed a full lapel reset as the jacket was bunching in the back. Due to the time constraint we were informed they could definitely Haumole sleeves and pant legs on the two suits, but could not reset the lapel and collar. To my surprise a full day ahead of schedule Dat's called and informed us not only were the suits hemmed, but the collar and lapel were altered. We used him one time before to get one of my daughters school skirts hemmed, and it took about two weeks. No big deal and the work was great reasonably priced. We decided to take a second skirt to him for hemming just as we did with the first skirt. I called to check on it because I dropped it off on August 9 the day before my daughter went back to school and as of today October 4 I still hadn't received a call that it was ready. He told me he would check and call me back and he did and he advised me that he didn't have the skirt he couldn't find it and I said OK well I need it, and you lost it? At that point he told me I could come in and help him look for it. I will go and ask him in person and I will offer to help him look for it, but I find that completely ridiculous - that he lost it and wants no accountability for losing it. These skirts are not cheap and now I have to go buy another one. To say I will not be using him again is an accurate statement. Very disappointed. read more

I think the only thing I would prefer in the future is that they call me when it's ready rather than waiting for me to check in to see if it is ready.
