I dropped it off to her on Thursday, 10/9/25, explaining that I was flying out of the country for the wedding the following Wednesday. She accepted the job and assured me that my blazer would be ready on Saturday, 10/11/25, by 12:00 pm, She explained that she was closed on that following Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of the following week. On Saturday, about a quarter til 12:00 PM, I arrived at the store to discover that the lights were off with no one present. I waited over an hour and made numerous attempts to contact her directly. I called several times, leaving voice messages and text messages, but received no response for over 2 weeks. In summary, I did not receive my blazer for my daughter's special day. I was forced to find something else to wear which was an added stressor for my daughter and family. Today, over two weeks since I dropped my blazer off, I contacted Erika, who finally answered the phone. She informed me that due to limited parking and her inability to walk, the store was closed on Saturday. She never took accountability for failing to reach out to me, only mentioning that she had not checked her messages. She cavalierly mentioned that I could collect the blazer today and pay full price because she "completed the job". With business practices such as this, you might want to consider another seamstress; someone who is accountable for their work and fulfills the job on or before the agreed upon date. Erika displayed a complete lack of communication, unsuitable follow-up, unprofessionalism and inconsideration.

I exited the dressing room with it unzipped, as brides usually need help zipping their dress. He and his wife barely attempted to zip my dress and told me it won't close. HE mentioned that I must have gained weight ..twice! I picked up my dress from the bridal store 2 weeks ago and it zipped perfectly fine. Once I changed, his wife helped me put my dress in the bag, and she said sorry. I wanted to tell her that I'm sorry she is married to such an asshole. I took my dress to a different shop and it is able to be taken out and it was definitely able to be zipped. If you want to have a man tell you that you have gained weight and they cannot help you other than adding a huge panel of fabric on the back, this is your place!

"Honda Yes but not a Harley?" she says.. I explained that Harleys are just a brand of motorcycle.. "Oh Ok" So I showed her the patches and where I wanted them. They were 4 military uniform patches a little smaller than a baseball. And I asked how much. She told me it would be $50 because its leather. Thats fine she is free to come up with her pricing as she sees fit. It IS Leather not the easiest to sew through. I joked around with her that at most rides where there are vendors they charge about $5 per patch for the size patches I have. And she responded with "Well I think maybe you should go to them" I laigh and appreciate her honesty... then as I collect my things from the table and get ready to leave she says "If you were "A Harley" (Still believinga Harley was a type of person) I wouldve done it for $20, cause they are not so tight" (Tight with the $) and that is what threw me.. again I must ask why is it that people WITH money always seems to not need it? They get everything thrown at them or discounted for no other reason than they have more of it to throw around? Now dont get me wrong after hearing her prices I would not have returned there anyhow.. but after her little comment about my not being "A Harley" I will definitlly not be returning. The tailor is thorough and does a well-executed job. She isn't dirt cheap, no, but as the old adage goes: you get what you pay for. Her alterations are such that you'd never know they were done and are as strong and sturdy as the factory finished piece was prior to. That's the point and the sign of a good tailor. On top of that, she's quick and finishes pieces in a very timely manner. I recommend folks to King's all the time. She's worth every penny.

I couldn't believe it. I will not be going here for every single alteration I have. A bit more background: I grew up working in the fashion industry- specifically, high end styling. We would work with a seamstress to make pieces fit uniquely and perfectly to the customer. Since leaving NY 11yrs ago I haven't found someone who I could work with in this way on my own clothes (I'm not a good seamstress). I am beside myself excited to have found this shop.

Thankfully I was referred Chris who did an amazing job, quickly, and was so reasonable!! I've since referred all of my friends and soon to be brides here and will come back. Not only did she make me feel totally comfortable but also did an amazing job. She's also so fun and personable -- it was the experience that I was looking for. The services in the photo (for reference) were to take in the waist of the skirt, add sleeves, and hem what was probably 10 layers of fabric while reserving the train/fullness.

She gets done with my order then calls me and says that I still owed her. Long story short I paid it again to get my things then left. I tried taking my CC statement back to them but again...alot of back and forth. That was the first issue... This time...I dropped off 2 pair of Jeans to be altered on Wednsday with her BF telling me to come back Saturday and they would be ready. So I pay ahead of time and this time I got my reciept along with PAID on the stub. I come back on Saturday only to find out my jeans havent even been touched yet and blamed it on having to go to the phone store and spend 5 hours. So she hurried up and grabbed them and did them while I waited. All I needed done was to have the jeans length taken up 2 inches. Well...she got one right!!! One pair are just fine while the other pair were cut so short they can now pass for Capri pants!!! Basically ruining a brand new pair of jeans. So not only am I out the money to have them altered...Im also out the money for the jeans as well with NO CHANCE of ever being refunded because it wasnt her fault( as she always says). THEN while there waiting to get my order done,another female customer came in and because somebody moved in the store their dog( a Chiuaua) started barking/snarling at myself and another person with the excuse given ( oh hes trying to protect her) FROM WHAT??? NOTHING HAPPENED!!! I have severe PTSD as did the other male customer that was there as we are both combat vets...I got triggered so bad that I had to leave before things escalated. Needless to say if its not one thing with this place its another and is NEVER EVER their fault. I think its time to find another seamstress. I in good concience cannot recommend this place to anyone.
