But I'm giving this review 4 stars simply because the building/office is quite outdated and the parking is not ideal (no lot, only street). Elizabeth was the most personable and caring nurse who immediately made me feel comfortable. She also made sure to get me any additional paperwork I needed to be certain everything was prepped for the doctor. She was super, super funny and I hope I see her on my next appointment! Dr. Ahankoob and her assistant were both diligent in ensuring I understood everything about my exam and answered every single one of my questions extensively. It's very obvious she truly cares about the health and well-being of her patients and made sure to get me up to date on things I didn't even think to ask about! I also appreciated how seriously they look to treat mental health just as much as physical health. She is well connected and referred me to an awesome pharmacist nearby who had the best prices-- plus, I love supporting local family-owned businesses. Sima in the lab was also so wonderful! I have notoriously difficult veins to find, but she was determined to get my blood work in for me since I travelled from so far. After a while of making sure my vein was up enough to draw blood, she got it in one go! I could also tell she's a more serious, no-nonsense kind of medical professional, but I got her to crack up a bit and that always feels like the beginning of a good relationship! Although I did have to wait a while even with an appointment and the building could use quite a bit of updating, the care from the staff here is what made my experience so enjoyable. I'm easy at the doctor (which I was praised for lol) but it helps to have such a friendly team. I only hope my next visits continue on this trajectory!

They only have 1 elevator that goes up and even the number that tells you what floor you're on is wrong. It will show you that you're on level 4 when youre actually on level 6 so you'll have to look at the number when the elevator opens to make sure you're on the right floor. You can't even take the stairs because the door is locked and need a special key or badge to open it.

As the Patient Relations Liaison, Lilliana made sure every step of the registration process was simple and understood! She gave us an information packet which goes above and beyond what we need to manage our care. Dr. Joey Brett was a godsend, and that's no exaggeration! His knowledge of queer health, kindness, and attention to detail was great. He also has great patient/doctor communication skills. I finally feel like I'm getting adequate care since leaving Kaiser. Both times she was seen by PA's so I wasn't too thrilled about that but I guess that's how it works in urgent care locations. They prescribed her medications the first time which didn't help her at all and earlier today the PA prescribed steroids and one other medication. Let's see how those work. It's a really dry cough, that's not going away.
