I use this store for cardstock as they have the best selection of packages. If you watch the sale ad, you can find some great buys.

This is a very cute shop with a lot of great options for natural fibers. The staff (including the…read morepup!) are friendly and helpful. It is very hard not to go home with a bunch of extra yarn I don't need...

The selection of yarn and material is great but the last few times I've come here the service has…read morebeen pretty poor. I feel like the employees aren't very invested in helping you and if you ask a a question it feels like a burden on them. I had called to inquire about store hours and let them know that I had come by during their listed hours but the closed sign was up and they told me there's no way that had happened. Additionally, I purchase some interchangeable needles and the price that rung up was higher than the sticker price. I hadn't noticed until I got home, so then I went back to the store a couple days later with the stickers still on there. They told me it was because of the tariffs, which I completely understand, but better customer service would honor the price that was listed on the item. They also made it feel as though it was my fault for not knowing the prices had increased (I don't live in Cleveland, so I only come to shop when I'm in town to see family). Overall, I've had multiple recent experiences with the shop that were unpleasant. I'm disappointed since the selection is nice, but given the service I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Driving up from Columbus to Oberlin, Ohio on a little mini adventure, decided to check out a fresh…read morelocation for an established yarn store. First off, Oberlin is a comfortable college town, and the parking is stress-free. I sometimes worry a lot about where I'm going to park when I go somewhere on a busy Saturday in summer. Parking worked. The business was previously in a 300 square foot two story home, and space was tight. Now it's in an expansive 3000+ square foot showcase space with tall ceilings, wrought iron support beams and plenty of room to move around. With some yarn stores you feel like you're bumping into things, but not here. It's well laid out, with a large community space in the middle of the floor, well-built tables and chairs. You feel like you can really take your time to both shop and work on projects here. For more formal classes, there's also a dedicated back area with loads of fun art on the walls. The entire space is well lit and inspirational. Exactly what you want in a local yarn store! Prices are in-line with what you'd expect, so the value is very good, especially given the fact that you can walk out with your selections on the spot. I love supporting local businesses and also appreciate the immediate gratification of getting what I need right then and there. The selection was the best I've seen in a long time! Some of my favorites were Spincycle Yarn, Cocoknits accessories, and we even picked up a hand-forged iron yarn bowl that will be a centerpiece of our home maker space. Atenti bags were also well represented in various shapes, sizes and color schemes. This family owned business made me feel super comfortable shopping around, and had answers to all of my questions. At the time of this writing, the store had only been open at this location for just over two weeks, and you can tell that it's going to do well.

This yarn shop is worth the drive! It's filled with beautiful yarns displayed by weight, dellaQ…read moreproject bags, baskets, notions, and more. The owner Lisa, is friendly, inviting, and very knowledgeable. She suggested a beautiful non-superwash yarn for a vest I'll be knitting. And, John was very helpful and suggested a great place for lunch. I think there is something there for every yarn collector.

Bought a men's large sweater quantity and a lovely lace yarn for a special vest. Can't wait to start them!!! The yarn is not inexpensive but it is special with a great range of breeds, textures and twist . The place to get that special yarn for that special project for a special person. Was driving through and arranged for them to open especially for me. So glad they could accommodate me. Had been a barn box member for years but my back log of knitting is overwhelming ... so now I just get yarn when I have a special project... would love to be a member again though. Great surprises and patterns.

I was disappointed because the yarn is scratchy. I was super kind and just asked for my…read moresubscription to be cancelled. But I gave them constructive criticism that every pattern they offered with the barn box for this month was "lace" which I don't like. I asked them to cancel and provide a non lace pattern for free even though I can't use the scratchy yarn which is very expensive. I said if they couldn't do that I would go ahead and download a lace pattern. (Figuring so would give it to a friend). They cancelled me before I could download. And told me I was free to rejoin the barn box anytime. Anyway, my report is - VERY SCRATCHY YARN in the yarn box and you get one skein, and that is all that comes for $40. Then 4 days later they e-mail you a choice of 6 of their patterns. If you don't like those 6, tough luck I guess. -Expensive - poor customer service. Don't get lured in like I did of the idea you are getting a soft natural product. I have now asked them for a total refund and a label to send their yarn back to them. I will update the rating if they make this right.
