Picking your project in advance is required so they can have all your stuff ready. The fine details like colors and stains are decided on the spot. Funny enough, 3 out of 7 of us chose the same project! It was the holiday card display board. But even when that happens, as you can see with my picture, they all turned out very different. The class was booked for three hours and we were indeed there for 3 hours. They sell alcoholic bevvies for $5 and had a great selection. They have multiple bathroom stalls there that are very clean. They have a sink in the back with special soap that takes off any paint you might get on your hands/ nails. The staining process you gotta be careful with and wear the gloves. And the sanding process please be careful. A friend got a huge splinter which was bleeding. They helped us clean it up and put a bandaid on it so she could keep creating. Employees were super helpful and easy to flag when you needed help. But they pretty much roamed around the whole time and jumped in to help workout needing to be called over. I was impressed. They took group photos for us and we left with our beautiful projects! We can't wait to come back. They have events for kids as well.

I was in the room and heard the entire conversation, the owner was curt and unfriendly. A few days prior to our event, the owner call our office and asked for my assistant and was told she was in a meeting and needed to call her back. The owner said "NO, I need to talk to her now" So we interrupted the meeting and confirmed our event with the owner. It was no emergency, the owner just wanted to reconfirm. 8 of us showed up, on a Tuesday at 1pm, we had arranged for the event to happen on a day the shop was closed, so it was a closed event and we rented the shop for a period of time. The employee acted nervous and had to keep calling the owner and reporting. When we made our reservation, we asked if we could bring refreshments and was told yes. We brought enough wine and beer for everyone to have one small glass of wine OR one bottle of beer during the event. We also brought snacks. The employee felt she should call the owner and report this. The owner asked for my assistant to get on the phone and told her to "get it out now". My assistant explained we had asked and the owner said " I don't remember you asking". I was in the room when my assistant asked, when she made the initial booking. So we proceeded to pour it all down the drain in the sink. I would never recommend this place for a group event for adults or kids. The owner is just not a friendly person. We were a group of designers that needed no help, should have brought our own paintbrushes instead of using the horrible ones they had on hand, we were just wanting to have a fun holiday outing. We did not deserve to be treated so rudely - especially my assistant, who was very professional with the owner. I was a shop owner for many years and understand how difficult it is to manage a small business, deal with the public, and stay in business. This lady needs to learn that kindness goes a long way.. and most people are very forgiving if treated with kindness and respect.

I feel like everything there is always on sale. I picked a bunch of flowers, greenery, and wire for assembly. Pro tip: buy the wire cutting scissors!!!! The floral wire can by cut easily but the stems of the bunches of silk flowers are wired and very difficult to cut. I made a second trip for those cutters. I found what I wanted but needed more. I did not realize it until I was well into my project. They have a website that has everything. I ordered more silk flowers for pickup, as the store offerings can vary and they were out of the hydrangeas. The cashier was super helpful. He recommended I download the Joann app because there were several coupons that I could use. So I got a better price than the sale price! I kept all my receipts as he said if I didn't use everything, just return it! Not only did I get silk flowers, but also the wood for my rustic cake stand, the tulle and pearl trim to make my own veil, a gorgeous wedding photo frame, ribbon for the aisle markers, and fabric for the arch decor. I made many trips to this store. I will attempt to include my project photos on this review. Summary- great customer service. Lots of useful items. Easy parking. Online ordering including ship to store. Curbside pickup. Easy returns. COUPONS ON THE APP! Also coupons on their email list. Will definitely shop again. Very sweet and professional! The store could've been a bit more organized, but it was clear that they were understaffed and overworked so I can understand this part. While aesthetically not so pleasing, I was still able to find what was looking for.
