If you are into cross stitch or love Noro yarns, then this store is def for you! I mostly crochet with fingering weight cotton or crochet thread so it's not really a match for me (probably a good thing since I live so close!). Although they had other yarn to look at and the usual notions, patterns and such, the real reason to go was the beautiful Chincoteague island yarns which are dyed by the owner. She was extremely helpful when I went to visit, and even offered to dye all the yarn I wanted for a project and ship it to me for free. The service was great, the yarn is beautiful. The staff was incredibly rude about my return the lady at the fabric counter was arguing how was she supposed to know what I got after I gave her my receipt for some reason. The lady at checkout said she didn't know what was going on with my receipt and wanted us to give her the faulty fabric when the lady at the fabric counter had taken it. Then the manager was called and she was just rude in general no apologies about it or any friendliness whatsoever from any of them. It was only my second time at that hobby lobby. I don't plan on returning - Dover is worth the drive I guess.

It's incredibly welcoming to both knitters AND crocheters and Sarah offers classes for both beginners and intermediate levels, as well as WIP groups on weekends. I can't wait to make my first crochet sweater and all things Granny Square! I'm so lucky to have this fantastic place so close to me, but I love it so much I would travel if I had to!
