This store is absolutely filthy. FI don't think the floors have not been cleaned in years! Went to buy some material. Did not see anywhere to get the material cut so had to got all the way to the front and stand in line behind 5 other people. The whole time 2 people working there kept yelling "self checkout is open for card only". They also told everyone they checked out they were glad they had "a good experience". Never heard anyone talking about a "good experience". When we finally got to the front we said we needed some material cut. We were told we would have to go back to the very back of the store to do that. I asked why there wasn't a sign. Their answer "there's a cowbell". Yes, a cowbell! Then they yelled at each other even though they were only 5-6 feet apart that I told them they needed a sign. We went back to the back of the store and never saw a cowbell!. We did see a sign up very high - approximately 10 feet that said we could call for a cut. At eye level at the same place was a sign that said pick up orders could be retrieved at this location. The person that told us where to go in the back disappeared as soon as she pointed to the cutting area. We left without buying anything and won't return! RUDE customer service. Upon entering Michael's we feel welcomed by the employees. This is our favorite store for Halloween and Christmas decorations. The aisles and shelves are clean and neatly stocked. Kudos to the person organizing the merchandise. Bright and colorful. It's always an adventure perusing for cute and interesting knick knacks. Merchandising is too tight in this store and they do not do a good job of removing old sale signs. Then they do not honor the pricing for their mistake. Also told me they could not use the button for a military/veterans discount even though the website says they know what to do in store. read more

When I called the store for help after getting home, they replaced it and delivered the replacement for FREE three hours later, to my house! Just came from Michael's at Bayou Blvd. in Pensacola. I tried to return an item for my classroom, with my receipt. The young, very friendly cashier called a manager to help her give me a store credit. I did not have the credit card with me that I used to purchase the item. Every other store will give you a store credit, especially when you have your receipt, as I did. I was told that it is not possible, I cannot return the item without the credit card. The cashier apologized, she thought I should get a store credit. I guess in the future, I will shop for my classroom at Hobby Lobby and Joann's. They give store credits. Sonja J. read more

I love crafting and hit this store at least once every week or two. The store is very clean and well organized. My only complaint is that the customer service every time I go into the store is absolutely terrible. None of the managers or the staff (that I have come into contact with) are helpful or friendly. read more

This store is always clean, with clear isles for the most part (they try to provide space to pass when stocking an isle, unlike similar stores). My issues with this store revolve around poor inventory and lackluster customer service. I have been buying the same Americana paint supplies from them for years now, making several trips a week sometimes. Within the last year, I have gone from waiting possibly a week for a product to be re-stocked, to now waiting a month. For an Americana gloss varnish, I waited right under 2 months for them to restock only 3 bottles. They seem to have an ordering problem that the employees blame on the corporate policies. I understand how corporate procedures can be a pain, but the employees used to write the product down and alert the manager. The product would be there the next week. Now they just tell you there's nothing they can do and walk off. I've noticed a high employee turnover rate lately which, in my opinion, has led to a downgrade in employee moral (hence the "I don't care attitude" ). All that aside, Michael's as a whole offers a wide range of products, especially acrylic paints, at a decent price. I will continue to use them for now, just due to the fact they are close to my house. read more
