I visit Michael's exclusively since Hobby Lobby has decided it's a person capable of discrimination. Ironically I stopped in yesterday to pick up some supplies for my homemade Ruth Bader Ginsburg Halloween costume. I had two gift cards so I also though I'd look at decor, can you ever have enough Halloween decorations? I was surprised that most Halloween/Fall stuff was 50% off and sparse. They had more Christmas stuff out than for the two upcoming holidays, I can't say I'm a fan of that. I had my own 25% off my entire purchase including sale so Halloween stuff was 75% off for me! Unfortunately I only walked out with a craft pumpkin for decorations, but I got lots of other stuff! I'm signed up for the text message coupons, they are sometimes annoying yet days like yesterday they sent an amazing coupon a few hours before I was stopping by. This is my go-to for craft supplies and I will be back, closer to December, to see the Christmas decor. Maybe it will be the stuff on sale by then! read more

I just went to the Michael's on N may ave to buy frames. Everyone i encountered working there was less than helpful and a bad attitude. The only bright light there was the cashier named Lou. She was helpful and kind. read more

Walked in within 30 minutes prior to closing. Employees loudly yelled that they would be closing soon. Like, okay, but you're still open right? Went and picked out 12 balloons to have helium inflated into and the same employee loudly and rudely announced that they could not blow them up. Asked why and employee (again rudely) said that it was store policy to not blow them up within 30 minutes of closing. Really? That sounds made up. No wonder the store has been going downhill. Went across the street to Dollar Tree and was in and out with 12 balloons in 10 minutes. Michael's, you have just lost another customer. Sad. read more

Drove in from Stillwater to purchase a Cricut for wedding planning and asked for help from the staff, at first they were accommodating but when I asked for the accessory I wanted with it I witnessed the manager roll her eyes about having to go look for it, and then immediately say they didn't have it.... I've worked retail and know it's tough, but girl go in the back at LEAST you're the manager!!! I spent $500 and she asked me 3 times about a credit card, after the attitude- would've considered if she looked for my item tbh Cashier was chill doe! read more

I brought my art to be framed here. I was very impressed on how it turned out. I was very impressed with the framers in the back of the store, and their experience, my Art came out, amazing and the pieces turned out beautiful. They even got it done way ahead of time than what they expected. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful Michaels art framing team nearby and I cannot wait to go back and bring my pieces over there again, thank you so much for all the laughs and wonderful smiles you have brought me. read more

the store is nice and all but I witnessed a Michaels manager being really rude to a Michaels crew member.

Great location right across quail springs and always has great promotions throughout. Oddly enough I've bought more home decor seasonal items than craft things here ever. They always have a fun dollar spot as well everything from stationary to kid toys. Tons of great kid crafts for holidays such as pumpkin decorating kits to seasonal decor for the home. However the thing that really lacks in this store is the checkout lines absolutely awful every time and the wait is crazy long because they only have 1 maybe 2 associates checking you out. read more

The young lady that assisted me gets every one of these stars. I placed an order at 2am that day and never received any updates. So I went in at 6pm and they had not even started pulling the order. This isn't the first time it's happened here so I deducted a star from my review. Turned out that one of the items was out of stock but the young lady who was helping me offered to call another store to see if they had it -and- if they would hold it for me. They did so I was able to purchase the items that I had already ordered and go pick up the unavailable item at another location. That was really helpful because it was for a birthday gift. So I thank her -in particular- for going above and beyond. read more

First, I don't shop here much because they are super expensive and there are local mom and pop art stores I would much rather support. Michael's is not really why Im here. The tall gray haired lady who works the checkout all the time is just so nice, and so friendly, and I have seen her every visit during the pandemic, it seems like she's just always there, at the register by the door, just smiling away... Its so hard to find great customer service, especially now when everyone is so stressed out and just kinda being mean to each other. The lady at Michael's was the bright spot in my day yesterday. Just wanted to give her a shout out or props or whatever the kids are saying these days. read more

Michael's is my go-to chain craft store, since I obviously can't shop at Hobby Lobby, for a bevy of reasons. And no, I don't want to have a political discussion. This is my opinion, which I express through my reviews, and with my wallet. So, when in need of fabric, frames, paint, paper, or other items, I find my myself roaming the aisles of Michael's. This Michael's on Memorial is better lit and much nicer than the Michael's on May and 50th. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I was able to quickly find what I needed. When there were two people waiting in line, they added a second cashier, even though it was 10:30 in the morning and probably not normally a busy time. I think I'll probably find myself going out of my way to go to this one, especially since I can go at off times. I avoid the Memorial Corridor on the weekends at all costs! read more

This Michael's is in poor shape. It could use a refresh, or maybe just a deep clean. Don't even try the restroom. The employees seem to hate their lives, which could be true of any retail employee. I have been here many times and have never been offered help or even been acknowledged by a human. read more

I went here with a custom framing order in mind and apparently I got there right as they had pulled the till and were no longer serving anyone (6pm). The lady back there, who said she was the manager on duty, pretty much acted like I was waisting my time and keeping her from doing whatever she was doing before. She was not helpful at all. I probably had one of the best experiences in terms of craft stores today at this Michaels location. After hunting for hours and at other stores (why didn't I just start here???), I finally called this location. A kind and pleasant voice quickly answered my call. Jordan was on the other end of the line. I described to him what I was looking for and he politely told me that he would need to step away to check to see if they had it in stock and that it would be just a few minutes. He was back on the line shortly after letting me know that they had what I'd described and offered to hold it for me. I literally was able to walk right into the store, pay, and get back to work. What happened when I walked in the store was the best part...There was a bit of line, but there were FOUR cashiers all hoofing it moving that line along. In addition, they weren't just working quickly, they all also seemed to be having fun while remaining professional. Frankly, I don't know if I've ever seen anything like it. The team seemed to be led by a young man who instigated much of the fun as well as the top notch customer service. When I arrived at his register I learned it was JORDAN! Thank you for a great experience. I was in a pickle and needed those votives by 4:00 p.m. today and was desperate by the time I walked in the door at 3:00. Jordan and the associates at this store really saved my day, and aside from all that honestly made me smile. read more

Me thinks the lady (term used loosely) got up on the wrong side of the bed! Went with a purpose, to get a few things needed for a project my 3 year old grandson and I were doing. And like some other budget minded people I use coupons....coupons that this company state they honor the same as their own. I also had a coupon that was for an additional 25% off of every thing, on sale or not, other coupons used or not. It was sent to me to use for a week, perhaps two? Because I had signed up for their app. They had always honored up to 4 coupons as long as you only used theirs & one other competitor's. I told the girl I had coupons at check out, there was no one behind me. She grabbed them, looked at me, said you know you can ONLY use ONE! I said, no way? She said, my manager said so. Oh, well how about this one, showed her the 25% off one on my iPad, she couldn't get it to scan for her. Told her, how about this, I'll just use this one coupon on this one thing. She said, Ok. I said, Thanks.......my 3 year old Grandson, who has been taught manners, said, "Good Night, Madame, Thank You". She glared at him.
