Started playing D & D this year. I have found everything I needed and much more. Luckily the baskets aren't to big to put merchandise in, or I'd go broke. The prices are very good, and most the items I purchased were the same price as online sellers or lower. They sell painted and unpainted minis, and of course painting supplies if needed. There is a HUGE variety of games and supplies. Although its a decent drive for me to get there, I prefer going to their store because I can always buy whatever I need knowing they'll have it in stock. I only spent time in the "store" itself, but they have two other large areas for gaming itself. My first decent the service was decent. The second visit, the customer service was outstanding. The second cashier, an older gentleman was extremely helpful. He helped me sign up for a frequent buyer program and answered more questions than it was fair to expect. Pretty cool store that sells every possible board game you can think of. They also have an adjacent fairly spacious gaming room where they hold tournaments or where you can play games against each other. Worth checking out of you are in this area of OKC. read more

Really unfortunate how poorly this store treats their non-magic players. One Piece is sold at nearly double MSRP, which is simply unacceptable. $90 for only 12 packs, or $180 for 24 is ridiculous. It's pure greed and I would not suggest supporting this store any further unless changes are made. read more

Great selection of dice. Mini, Extra Large, Singles, & even plushies. Price ranging from $2 for the singles to $80 for a resin made set. They have a campaign room! They had plenty of character figurines, Set maps, dungeon sets, extra large figurines for your BBEG, and plenty of other games. The clerk was very nice and attentive. He was definitely not annoyed by all the questions we asked. He shared some of his favorites and it was nice rapport. Definitely the place to go in OKC for beautiful dice sets read more

If you purchase an item that's competitively priced, don't count on your order being fulfilled. I recently placed an order for Ork Nobz and Batgleqagon, with the battlewagon being priced at $74. A short while later I received an email that the battlewagon was not available, to which I responded asking that I was not in a rush and that I would wait until it becomes available again. I was told that the items availability was unknown, followed by a notice that the Battlewagon was removed from my order. A few days later I received an email letting me know that the Battlewagon was back in stock and the price was $109.25. Of course, how convenient. Not a mention of honoring my order or anything to that regard. Currently putting together a 2000 point Orks army, followed by a 2000 point Space Marines army. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. read more

What a stifling experience. I don't expect to be greeted when walking in the door, but it sure is strange to be looked at when walking in and then have the employees pretend you're not there. Then just 25 minutes straight overhearing employees sniping at each other about where to put tables in the gaming room. Being really nasty to each other and communicating in the ugliest way. Then when I go to buy my stuff, a coldness from the employee as if I'm inconveniencing them. Honesty, what a gross experience. Instead of driving out there to give a local business a chance, I could have just ordered everything I needed delivered to me the next day for 30-50% less. After the unpleasantness of that, I regret that I ever gave them the chance. Good riddance to that boiling pot of miserable people. read more

I absolutely love going to this place. First off, the prices really aren't terrible, and I always seem to be able to find what I'm looking for there without much hassle. The employees put a lot of work into leaving a positive environment, and it really shows. I'm big into D&D and Magic, and I love perusing their collection of source books and cards. And wow, their Magic card collection is truly impressive. It's honestly fun to make a cool list of cards I want for I deck I'm wanting to build, and they can come up with each one with pretty great speed. Additionally, their mini painting supplies have great variety, and quality options to choose from. And the minis the employees paint are so skillfully done! Overall, this place is great. They truly have been great to me, and are always looking for more people to welcome into their community. It will be worth your time to stop by. read more

About as stereotypical as you get. A bunch of gatekeepers working the registers who condescend anyone who is only a casual fan. I asked about an item and was responded to with a joke and rude sarcasm as apparently it is in high demand and has been sold out for a while. How are we supposed to know? These people need to grow up, it's embarrassing. They have a big selection, but their prices are high and their staff is incredibly unprofessional. Avoid this place unless you can't find your stuff anywhere else. read more

Game HQ is your ultimate stop for games. They have obscure board games that go beyond your traditional Monopoly and clue. They have miniatures for table top games, like D&D, and paint supplies. Magic the gathering and other card games are always available. The staff can answer any question you have. The best part is that they have a large area devoted to gaming attached to the store. Many people meet up to play games. You can bring your own or test out ones they have in stock. They have gain tournaments pretty frequently. In the back of the gaming room, they have snacks and energy drinks for purchase. Game HQ is one of my favorite places on the planet. read more

You can spend a pretty penny here, but if it keeps them in business, then I'm a fan. The place is really fun and you can find tons of cool stuff here no matter what your interests are. Half the place is laid out in a gaming room, which makes me think that it has some sort of community, which is awesome. I live a bit too far to go here regularly though so I don't know for sure. The service was awesome. My dad and I had some pretty specific needs for his 4 day visit here and one of the guys helped us for about 15 minutes. Great place! read more

I love this place, been going here since high school. This location is the new one, and it it better in my opinion becaude they have a better layout. Table top and role playing games abound with all the accessories any Dungeon Master worth his or her salt would need. They even offer gameing sessions. Rarely does Amazon fail me. When it does, I feel lost and betrayed. In this case, Amazon wasn't carrying any viable options for a board game I wanted (NEEDED), Elder Sign. None of the options were Prime eligible and they were mostly from sellers I was a bit leery of. So, I called a game shop I've been to a couple of times, but they only carried the expansions for the game - womp womp. I searched websites for in-store availability like Target, Walmart, and Toys'r'Us. No go. The boyfrand reminded me of the Game HQ locations (duh), so I gave this location a call. They had it! We mosey down to the shop and the first thing I notice upon walking in is the (very) large attached room for tabletop gaming. LIKE DANG. I also noticed how friendly all the employees were as they greeted us. This place is a haven for people in need of tabletop games when Clue, Trivial Pursuit, and Monopoly just don't do it for you anymore. They carry dozens upon dozens of board/card games along with quite a large number of expansions for the appropriate games. There's a plethora of books for RPG games of all sorts from the classics of D&D related merch to Firefly, Doctor Who (bleh if you're into that), and Star Wars (along with other not so franchised stuff). I also noticed miniature stuff for tabletops! I didn't look too much into it since that's not something I do, but there was a fellow at a table who was SUPER into pimping out a miniature he was working on. Was pretty neat. As we checked out with our treasures, we were helped by a very friendly guy who was personable and real informative about events they host on the regular. Like... daily? Seems to always be something going on. I may have to check this stuff out sometime! I encourage anyone else looking for inclusive gaming to do the same. It's a fun, community based environment. You can just sit and play some games, and usually make some friends there that play as well.

The staff here is super friendly and they have just about every game, expansion pack, and accessories needed for board games. And if they don't have it they will check with their wear house to see if they have it there. They also have stuff for war hammer and the paints there!Next door they have a gaming room where people can play games that they can rent or ones that you can bring. They do a lot of tournaments there. They also have a point system of earning coupons. It's really good!! The place is just amazing! I have been coming to this place (and their previous location on 89th & Penn) since I was 6 yrs old (14yrs of coming here). The staff is friendly and they'll help you out to find games that fit you! They tend to get to know you if you're a regular, and it feels like a second home. They host fun game tournaments and events, often for $10 or less! Their merchandise is reasonably priced, I've never felt cheated. The store has natural lighting and is nice and open (looks to be ADA accessible aisles!) Please be sure to come and give this place a good look around. Whether you want to play Scrabble or Dungeons & Dragons, these guys are here for you. read more

Lots of current games. I picked up a copy of Kingdom Builders and Number9. Both great fun. They also have virtual reality game play, a party area, an area where you can play their board games. It's a great store. read more

Does not live up to the hype. Not sure if it's the same with every employee, but when I went in a week ago and inquired about a game I left with nothing but a bad experience. One employee didn't know what I was talking about at first, then immediately passed me onto another employee who was nothing short of being a rude jerk. He had a condescending tone and when I tried to inform him he was wrong about what he was telling me he got fussy and left. I have no idea who hired these guys, but thanks to them they won't make a single dollar off me. DZ Comics isn't too far away and right off the highway, the owner there is actually eager to get new games going on his store even if he doesn't play it himself. THAT is how an employee (or owner in his case) should respond to someone asking about a new game. Make them feel wanted, don't act like a pouty child because you got caught in a lie. Game HQ lost my business before they even had it, and I won't be recommending them to others in my hobby group. read more
