We've been meaning to check out Wizard's since we moved here but have been preoccupied with doctor appointments, COVID, etc. Today they were close to one of our doctors and we opted to swing by to see what they had in graphic novels, primarily "The Punisher." We met Sterling and he was very hospitable and showed us around and he was knowledgeable as well. We picked up two Punisher novels and signed up for their loyalty program(FREE). The store is roomy(great for those in wheelchairs and disabled)and items are displayed well and easy to access. Lovely experience and great first impression! read more

I walked in and bought $600 worth of comics, when i got home they hadn't put $250 worth of Amazing Spider Man comics in my bag, when i went back they refused a refund and used their computer to make a fake itemized receipt which i didn't ever get the first time. Of course they changed their new receipt to match the books i brought back in. Completely rip-off artists. Don't trust this business. read more

I buy all of my new comics at Wizard's Asylum & have for years. What I've noticed recently is the massive improvement in their back issue selection & quantity. These folks are the place to go in Oklahoma for new used books with a constant influx of back issues from the rarer golden age to the hottest recent back issues. The prices are extremely fair compared to the average comic shop & the store is clean and organized. Oh, and they carry comic posters too for gift ideas. Very impressive stuff with some signed pieces from comic conventions as well read more

They are always so nice and helpful! Their new store is bigger and more airy then their old location. I love that I can ask about a game and not only do they know about it, but they can find out a little bit about you and show you better, more you, type games. I've visited the sister store if this place in Tulsa first so had to check it out since I was in OKC. Although a smaller store it still had that charm of a FLGS with a Magic Tournament going on. The only draw back I had with this place was their small selection of D&D products, but was told they were sold out of some things so I suppose that's a good problem to have. The Tulsa store was bigger and had a small gaming area. While this shop has 3 rooms of gaming tables and one with the Merch surrounding the tables. Great store for the OKC area. read more

Everything a dork would want. I've only actually been to the Wizard's Asylum once, when shopping for a friend's birthday, but let me tell you that this place is a dork's dreamland. Likes: They have comics, model kits, board games, and virtually every minute detail that a true geek aspires to own. There were even people playing D&D right there, on site, as I shopped. When we found that they did not have a copy of one of the comics that my friend had requested, they even offered to order one in for us. Visited here today for the first time. Parking was terrible could not park anywhere near the store (sat, between 2-4). More game shop than comic books shop, 1/4 of the store was comics and ancillary product, so not their main focus. Carries heavily on DC and Marvel. 1 Star for actually carrying trades by Indy publishers (Black by Black Mask was spotted), but back issues were related to most "hot" titles ( heavy on Marvel Characters) and bargin bins were mostly overstock. No action figures, and most T-shirt's were Diamond stock leftovers. Pass on this store if your a serious comic collector. read more

Wizards is one of the coolest places in norman. There is something at wizards for pretty much everyone that's looking for a fun new hobby. From a family looking to pick up a fun game to play with the kids, comic book enthusiasts or fans of all the most popular trading card games. We have been to this store on two different occasions. The first time, the guy behind the counter was playing some game on the computer. He said hi to us when we came in, and then completely ignored us and never once asked us if he could help us find anything. We walked out of there and I don't think he ever noticed. We thought it was just bad timing on our part, so tonight we went back and planned on buying a few boxes of Magic The Gathering cards. When we told him we were not sure what cards to get because we were out of practice, he was like.. okay. Then my husband was looking through their binder of cards and had pulled some of them out to buy and was still looking when I guess this guy wanted to get back to his movie, so he just starting ringing up the stuff we had pulled out of the binder and didn't even let us finish. When I decided which box sets I wanted, booster packs etc, I went back up to the front and he was too busy with his friends watching their movie to notice... I don't think I should have to scream to over talk them to get their attention. This has to be the worst place I have been in... in a very long time. It's really sad. They place has a lot of potential because its right off campus and it's well stocked, but the staff suck. So, I will be taking my 2k and spending it elsewhere, where the staff does their job and doesn't treat the business like its their personal living room. read more

Yes, "my friend" enjoys this shop quite a bit. "My friend" tells me they have a great floor plan and shelving space which gives the place a very comfortable feel while all products are well-displayed. "My friend" says the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating; generally a bunch of good people who like nothing more than to chat with "my friend" about "my friend's" interests in gaming products. "My friend" finds that they carry a good array of what's contemporary and what's retro ensuring that "my friend" can typically purchase what "my friend" wants right away. Wizard's Asylum Comics & Games is the finest comic book store I know. In addition to a great selection of high quality graphic novels, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
