Staff are super friendly and can provide advice on what and where to solve any problem you might have or item you might be looking for. They also have a reward program and send out coupons over the holidays to save money. A nice local shop with knowledgeable staff you dont see too often now a days.

This store is supposed to be one of the smallest in the chain, but doesn't show it. Large selection of books, comics, DVD/Blu-ray's, and toys/collectables. If you don't know about 2nd & Charles, most of the items are used trade-ins from other customers, so you can never be sure what will be in stock. We had several questions about prices of items behind the counter which were quickly answered and the employees were helpful. Had a good selection of Manga but a smaller selection of Anime DVD/Blu-ray's. A large selection of comic longboxes were available, but per other 2nd & Charles their organization was not the best. Overall, store was clean and organized with an on-par selection of items compared to other stores. I would return here again.

This was one of my two favorite boutiques in Harper's Ferry (didn't browse past the shinies). Displays were unlocked for convenience. The stock is very carefully thought out, such that pretty much everything you might need in a pinch is here. They've got an impressively large variety of food items on just a few shelves, plus live bait and propane gas tanks, as well as a reasonable selection of alcoholic beverages, tobacco items, and most impressive of all: wine, flowers, gift items, and even local foodstuffs like cakes and preserves and pickles and honey made right here on the mountain. I love that the owner was careful to make space for local goods--she even calls that white shelf with the mountain-made pickles and preserves her "pride". :-) The place is very clean and amazingly doesn't feel cramped at all despite having so much variety. I really can't think of a better-stocked or -maintained little country store. Sure, it's not a supermarket, but in the midst of a month-long blizzard or a desperate late night craving for sweets, this place'll do very well. That being said, it is closed on Sunday, which I have a case of Chick-fil-A Syndrome over: Part of me thinks, "Good for them!" and part of me is like, "Damn!" But oh well! The store-formerly-known-as-Weber's up the road is open on Sundays, so you could always go there if you can't get down the mountain on the Lord's Day. ;-) Thank you to the owner for opening such a lovingly kept shop in our neighborhood! It's because of places like yours that the mountain keeps getting better! :-)
