I was in Michael's to place a balloon order and a young fellow was helping me. His name is Jaylin. He' was polite, friendly & helpful with a smile on his face. The only thing is he was a one man show. He handled everyone but I feel Michael's needs to have another person with the balloons as It can become very busy. I must say Jaylin handled all and if he wasn't as polite and upbeat I might have went elsewhere . I hope Michael's realizes Jaylins worth!! read more

I happen to like shopping at any Michael's store for my arts and crafts needs. This one is a great store with lots of stocks. The place is clean and organized. I particularly like their clearance section if I happen to see items that I might need for future use. I used to be a Girl Scout leader and got most of my supplies here in the past. They also give GS volunteers tax-free for troop supplies if you present the tax-exempt form. read more

Convenient location for Michaels store when looking for some decorations or arts and crafts. After holiday clearance has deep discounts to sell rest of the holiday items and make room for the next season. Pretty big store - went through the aisles looking for some arts and craft items and baking as well. They do have sale at times and if you're signed up for their emails or via the app, you do get coupons as well. Staff is friendly and checkout is pretty quick. read more

Every person I asked was extremely helpful. I happen to have two managers help me with several issues when I came time to cash out I had recently got a Michaels credit card. I did not have it with me and they handled it very nicely. They also were training staff on how to handle something like this so kudos to you Michael's once again, your product is wonderful and your people are great too read more

Came in for a return but the store was so much bigger and cleaner than the ones in the Bronx! They had so many more items and cool ones at that. This review is for the framing department (Aaron Brothers custom framing). I was looking for a frame for a painting I found in Sicily last year. I found the perfect frame in this store. The frame rep in the department was very knowledgeable and helped me to find a frame that compliments the painting without overpowering it. The quality and style are excellent for the price. The frame was originally $600, it was on sale and I used a coupon on top of the sale. I paid just under $200 for the frame & mount. What a steal! Love love love it!! We recently went to the Michael's to find some crafts for our very eager 3 yr. old and we were able to score a pretty big deal on some things to keep her occupied during the winter months in between her other activities. As far as they store goes, each area is well laid out and after a few minutes of orientating yourself, you can find what you need. The aisles were clear and everything seemed to be clean. We weren't sure what exactly we wanted in a winter diversion, so we were sure to find it. There were plenty of discounted items among the shelves and since we weren't after anything specific, we took advantage of super clearance items. Saved a ton of loot in the cash department, and filled a couple of bags of puzzles, games, stickers, etc.- you get the picture. Staff at the registers were adequate and friendly. In the store, among the aisles, however, I didn't see too many to answer questions or to point you in the right direction. Maybe I'm new to this craft store or maybe I'm just plain old-fashioned, but I wasn't thrilled nor was I let down. I bought, on the spur of the moment, a flag holder for a flag received from a funeral. The holder was too small for the flag I have. Before I took the plastic off that covered the holder, I held the flag against it and thought it would fit. The store manager and corporate customer service would do nothing about accepting the return because it was opened. I work in retail and we accept returns no matter how old or in what condition. I told customer service i planned on buying the larger holder they carry but, after this experience, I will not spend another penny at their stores. read more

I was very unhappy with my visit to Michaels. My niece is starting a new program and needed a few items . I figured Michaels would have to the largest selection and instead I was very disappointed. The few workers scattered about simply pointed to where an item would be. I work in retail and proper customer service is to walk the customer to the item they are looking for. Not saying all locations are like this but I will definitely not be visiting this location again. read more

Really hoped to get the full suburban Michaels experience coming out from the city looking for my DIY wedding supplies. Very disappointed. One notable exception: when asked, a nice clerk helped me find a particular paint color in stock. Otherwise, post holiday, the store was poor stocked, waaaaay too much scrapbooking stuff(seriously, that trend is going to die and Michaels will be stuck with half their floor space full of little travel stickies and mini birthday cake decals) and worst of all, one cashier waiting on 30 people. Going to Michaels is always an interesting experience for me. I can never get over how many crafts there are out there for people to waste money on lol!!! Scrap booking supplies are adorable but expensive & what does one do with all of the scrap books? Dust collectors if you ask me. Michaels always has a discount coupon in the paper or on the app snip snap. Teachers also get discounts here when showing their ID. I personally don't have much need for a craft store, but at least if I do one day, Michaels has a huge selection & discounts. read more

Every time I come to this place I am waiting on line for a very long time. The store is never busy but there always seems to be a line. Very annoying. There seems to he only 1 cashier and thy are slow on getting a second cashier and even when they do each transaction takes a very long time. read more

Michaels is always fun when you get your creative on!! They are always well stocked, clean and busy. It's rear that I walk out without buying something. The items can be a little pricey but for the most part it's inexpensive, unless you're buying picture frames!! Talk about expensive!! But I love this place. read more

I used to go to Micheals a lot when it was at it's old location next to the movie theatre. I've been to the new location 3 times now, and I suspect I won't be back to it again any time soon. If you're looking for anything other than scrapbooking supplies, don't bother. At least half the store, probably more, is just scrapbooking now. If that's what you're looking for it must be great, but otherwise the remaining sections are tiny and pathetic. Every time I've been in the store is just dirty and untidy - nothing I'd call the health department over, but enough to make me go "eww". Most of the staff couldn't care less about their jobs and are pretty unhelpful and unknowledgeable when asked anything. It wasn't the worst service ever, but it was definite 'I'm just doing the bare minimum I need to between talking to my co-workers to avoid getting fired' service. If it were the only choice in town I'd go, it wasn't completely intolerable, but with AC Moore right by it and a JoAnne not terribly far away I'd rather go to those for my big box craft store shopping. read more

I like that they always have a coupon with the Sunday paper. The store is light, cheerful, & neat. They often have great sales. If you are creative, it is so much fun to go here and browse. You will find things that you can use. Sometimes I come up with project ideas while browsing & buying. read more

This is my second review of this poor excuse of a retail establishment. My last one was on 11/23/13. I had not been back since that review , however some time had passed and I had a 40% off coupon. I wanted to see if things improved. They have not. On my recent visit I arrived within 45 minutes of closing time. I made my selection and headed to the line to check out, which was at least 15 or more people deep. Only 1 cashier was on, and the manager was called to the front to assist. He never appeared and was seen entering a room in the rear of the store by a customer. When I confronted him he claimed to be assisting a customer in the rear of the store, which was pure bull. He left that poor girl to fend for herself, and to apologize to each customer for the inconvenience . She was wonderful, and so undeserving of that situation. I've complained to corporate before with no tangible results. This apple is rotten to the core. If I could give less than 1 star , I would. read more
