There were and she picked up one of the remaining boxes. This year I decided to try and find it myself. After trying this location twice, I was able to secure the precious fruit. I couldn't find the location of the mangos. I asked an employee where I can find the mangos. He pointed at the cashier and said counter. While standing in line, I watched another employee bring a box to a second register, open it for the customer to inspect. The customer rejected the first box because it was all unripe. He brought a second box and it was mostly yellow in this one which the customer accepted. When it was my turn, I asked for a box of mangos. Same procedure: bring box, open box for decision, approve and pay. I took the box of unripe mango hoping it does goes bad quickly. This is a great supermarket if you want to check out. I got a few initial stares from other customers when I entered and walked around the store. I looked lost since I literally walked back and forth several times between the fruit and vegetable aisles until I asked the employees (first time: not available yet, second time: go to the counter). Yet, they are sitll there in the shopping center off Broadway (Hicksville 107) and Lewis Street. There is something of a comfort to know this.
