Wonderful service by 3 employees yesterday Cashier took the trouble to ask me about where my gift was going to be sure it wouldn't get damaged (they quickly wrap it for free and even give you a gift tag ) Item can be exchanged with the price sticker on it that says MJ Beanz, which is helpful for birthday gift giving when you don't know if a child has the item. Good selection. read more

Terrible customer service due to the women who work at the register. One in particular is extremely rude. I will not be returning to this store. There are other local toy store that are MUCH better such as Sugar Crazy. I recommend their store. They do not upcharge you as much either. read more

This store sells upscale toys with free gift wrap and the very best sales associates I have seen by far. My wife and I needed baby gifts and a toy for a five year old . The knowledgeable staff helped us with an array of suggestions at all price levels. They gift wrapped for free and even have the coolest shopping bags. What a great find for grandpa and grandma read more

Amazing staff. All extremely nice. They are really good at helping you get whatever you're looking for. 100% recommend you go. read more

Poor Customer Service A family member purchased a toy for my toddler, but it turned out to be unsuitable. When I approached the staff for a return or exchange, one worker was helpful (but she had to ask the other ones opinion) while another was rude and uncooperative. She dismissed my request without even listening or looking at me, citing an open box as the reason for denial. Even though all the components of the item and its packaging inside were still wrapped, sealed, and untouched. An issue or return matter truly reveals the true colors of a business's customer service, as exemplified by the above described actions. I expected better treatment at a kids store and a willingness to resolve issues. Due to this experience, I will not be returning. read more

Great toy store! Always has toys kids actually use & love! Infant to teen. Games, activites. Amazinh read more

Best service anywhere! Call on the phone they tell you what's in stock and make shopping so easy both out and in store!! Wrap all gifts beautifully! Make gorgeous custom items! Return policy is phenomenal and they keep everything in the computer system so you do not have to bring gift cards around! read more

Free gift wrapping for everything over $5. This place is AWESOME. Fun as soon as you walk in the front door. Action packed place with toys to satisfy children and adults of all ages. The people are super friendly and super helpful in trying to find the best gift for us. I can't imagine why everyone would not rate this a 5 star establishment. This is the go to place for great gifts at a reasonable price. Could I find these items cheaper on Amazon or somewhere else ? Yes but I love to support local business when I can and this is a perfect place to do so. There was quite a bit of traffic in the store when we arrived but they seemed to handle the flow quite nicely. I would really encourage all locals to at least stop in sometime and take a look around to see what they have to offer. read more

Best toy store ever. Every time I go I'm greeted warmly and offered help. I tell the gentleman the gender/age I need a gift for, and how much I want to spend, and immediately he shows me SEVERAL different options to choose from including which ones he highly recommends & for what reasons. This is so important to me as I don't have school age children and have no idea what to look for! All the employees are so friendly, and you get free gift wrapping with a "to/from" tag & a temporary tattoo! This place is phenomenal. read more

Was in a rush and needed 3 gifts for 3 8yr old boy bday parties. We left with 3 Pokémon box sets. Away from that there was not a large selection for that age. There was more variety for girls and younger ages. Plenty of small gift ideas and stuffed animals, trendy fidget toys. The wrapping was free and fast. read more

Don't be fooled by the seemingly small storefront - this toy store has so much selection inside and so neatly organized. My kids and I were warmly greeted upon entering and offered help. Staff were all so friendly and kind. Great place to buy gifts for kids' birthday parties. I especially loved that they carry Usborne activity books! read more

This place is overpriced and has that, "don't touch anything" atmosphere. I had the unfortunate privilege of shopping for something on the first night of Hanukkah- it was an absolute mad house and the employees had no idea how to handle the rush; perhaps they aren't used to it. Anyway, I was in a bind and needed to get a secret Santa so I hopped in and bought a puzzle. I want to like this place, I really do. I love small businesses and I often don't mind paying the extra money to support local shops, but this place is simply meh. read more

Shopping at MJ Beans is such a pleasure. Barbara and her team really know their products and what will appeal to kids of all ages. As an out-of-town grandmother I'm always looking for help for choosing just the right gift at the right price. Their stock is varied and the staff if very respectful of budgets. The value added by having their recommendations is huge. read more

My daughter received a birthday gift for a product this store sell that unfortunately was damaged once we opened the box. I called the store to simply ask for an exchange but they didnt have the product in stock. The owner was so kind to find me the same product from another store and dropped it off at my house. I have never received customer service like that before. I can't thank them enough! read more

The employees do not follow people around because they think that they're going to steal, and they do not follow people who they think have money, they do that because their job is to help customers find the perfect item for them . And having said that, alot of people do steal and alot of kids start playing with toys in the store and damage the packaging or the toy and then no one wants to buy it. And also in my experience the customers are much ruder than we could ever be. I work there, what I'm saying is the truth. I don't make commission, I only want to help people. I was told never to oversell or push anyone to buy something more expensive than they want to. I help people find perfect and unusual gifts and I love what I do. Edie read more

If you're under 21, don't go there. They are going to watch you like a hawk because they think you're going to steal. Rude disrespectful and Overpriced. And if you're handicapped they will stare. They care only for making money, and not about their customers. Also a NO RETURNS policy. Go to Toys R Us. You'll have better luck there. read more

When I went there, I was offered help immediately. They were so helpful, and I was able to find the perfect present for a six year old boy. While I was there, I picked up a little present for my daughter's upcoming birthday. At the register, the cashier was extremely friendly, offered to wrap the present, explained the very simple return policy and even spelled my name correctly, which nobody ever does! It was a pleasure and both the little boy and my daughter loved their toys! Just a little bit overpriced, but for the friendliness, knowledge and location convenience, it was well worth the visit! read more

M J Beanz is our go to store for kids toys. Unlike large toy stores i.e. Toys R Us where you get no service, no attention MJ Beanz is a neighborhood gem. I usually walk in to a friendly greeting and say, "I'm here for a XX year old boy/girl that likes ABC and here is my price range $xx-$yy." I'm usually out of there within minutes. With a wrapped gift! They cover all the latest toys (action figures to board games), trinkets, arts&crafts, etc. read more

Went there with my husband to get an appropriate toy for a child I hadn't met. I found something I liked right away and Mike was able to demonstrate it. We looked around for a few minutes and I saw a lot of items that looked great for other gifts. Very friendly and great store! read more

I can't believe this place only has 3 stars! The staff is so friendly and helpful. I told them my price range and the types of toys I was shopping for and they helped me pick out a great gift. They even told me to go with the cheaper option and said it was made better - That was a pleasant surprise. To top it off, they have free gift wrapping! This is a such a nice local toy store with a good selection and great staff. read more

I have been shopping at MJ Beanz for a few years and it really is a fantastic toy store. The staff is so helpful and very friendly. They help me choose all my gifts and wrap the presents beautifully. This store carries a fantastic selection of toys and they always have new items. I love going here because it makes my shopping decisions much easier. I never shop at Toys R Us since I found MJ Beanz! It is very nice shopping in a "mom and pop" store where they have great customer service!! read more

The best toy store ever. Everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They have the best toys and games and really great gift wrapping. read more

Ungrateful....your business means nothing and they let you know it. Plus they are soooo loud.

The store associates make impractical, unknowledgeable recommendations and claim that they are "experts." The manager is uneducated, rude, and disrespectful. Prices are $5 more than both ToysRUs and BuyBuyBaby. An owner who truly cares about customers' business would take the time to speak and understand why a customer is upset instead of being dismissive. I have called the Better Business Bureau regarding the type of service provided as well as pricing in this store. read more

I normally don't write reviews but when I saw that MJ Beanz only had 3 stars I sincerely felt the need. This is my go to place for birthday presents and when I want to buy my kids a thoughtful toy. The staff is extremely helpful (without being pushy), they offer great suggestions and will suggest within a price range of you ask. I love it that they offer free gift wrapping. So much easier than shopping elsewhere and I save money on not having to buy a gift bag or paper. I literally buy a birthday present and throw it in the trunk until it's time to go. They even give a to/from sticker you can use and bonus stickers for the child you are gifting to. read more

You walk into the store its like being in a toy wonderland. If you don't know what to buy the staff is very helpful in making suggestions. They helped me pick out the gifts I needed they even wrapped them for me which was a big help. Everyone in the store was helpful and friendly. read more

Amazon.com carries all ofmthensame things at a MUCH cheaper price and better return policy. I like that its local but they are so rude and definitely bee line for those they think have "money". So sorry I just can't recommend! read more

This store should definitely get 5 stars! I always enjoy shopping more at the Mom and Pop stores like this toy store rather then through big corporations because of the service and the stores are less overwhelming. The owner of MJ Beanz, Steve is the nicest guy, he is always willing to help me find whatever I'm looking for, for my 9 and 11 year old boys. They were so excited about mindcraft lego sets they got from there. The other big hit was the new hot items, the fidget Spinners, and fidget cubes. There are a lot of cheap imitations but MJ Beanz carries only the originals. All around customer the service is great they have a fantastic selection of toys and games. read more

This is my "go to store" for all my toy gift needs. From babies to teens, the staff is always ready to help with a suggestion. Staff consistently takes a personal interest in your purchase. The courteous service is consistent across the board, from owners to floor staff. Easy enough return policy, and they even track your purchases for you. Service like this is unheard of at any big box store. And the free wrapping and gift tags are a plus, as well as being able to select gift wrap for any occasion.! read more
