We recently had a birthday party for our daughter at this location. It was very easy to book online so I'll give them props for that. However for the price we paid, I don't think it was worth it and I would not recommend. First of all, the room in this location could not hold the minimum 8 kids we had to book, let alone more. Second, there was supposed to be 12 balloons that I purchased for the event and they provided 4. Also, for what is in the goody bags, they are not worth $10/each. Also, they say they provide cups, plates, and plastic ware, but there was only forks and not enough for everyone. They also said we'd be doing 3 crafts, but we only did 2 and 1 was too hard for the kids and so parents stayed to help which made the place even more crowded. I think the associate that led the party tried, but I don't think that this location should host parties with a minimum of 8 people. Maybe small groups and charge people less? read more

I was trying to order online from our local store for pickup, which I have done many times. Today, every time I selected an item, it switched my location to a store two hours' drive from my home. I corrected this error multiple times, only to have it change back to the Pottstown store. There is no way I am going to drive that distance to purchase a few skeins of yarn--not as long as Amazon is still in business! With AC Moore long closed, and Joannes Fabrics closing, this is a golden opportunity for Michael's to absorb those sales from long time dedicated crafters, but apparently, your company is not interested in doing so. read more

I couldn't find what I wanted, so I approached one of the employees to ask if they had it. Her response, was a sharp, "I don't even know what that is." , and she walked away. I then got to the counter, and there was one couple in front of me. They had a conversation with the cashier, then checked out and continued the conversation about their pets while I waited. Finally, I could see the conversation wasn't going to end, so I walked up to the cashier and put my things on the counter, which of course earned me some dirty looks. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. First and last time purchasing anything here. I will stick to my online purchases. What I'm going to explain in this review is the reason why retailers like this are going out of business left and right and will continue to lose to the online shopping world. They (places like this brick-and-mortar store) bring nothing to the world of in-person shopping. Not a SINGLE thing to compete with the convenience, cheapness, and ease of shopping online. I came here for some Pigma Micron fineliner pens/markers. On Amazon.com, as you can see, the price is $9.18, shipped and sold by Amazon.com. At Michaels.com, you can see that the price is $21. In store, the price was $19.99, but I did not catch a pic because I didn't know I would be writing this review tonight. So, even if you take the cheaper in-store price at Michael's, that is an absurd 218% markup, and probably even more than that because I'm sure Michael's is getting it even cheaper than Amazon is selling it to me for. Alright. So that's bad enough. When you see stores like Michael's that mark stuff up hundreds of percentage points, you automatically think: RUN! BUT, I always do one thing first. I check for price matching. Because price matching is just one possible way for stores to keep up with online retailers... by making their prices cheaper, to match that of online retailers. In this case, for example, I could've saved over $10 shopping online at Amazon without even bothering to waste money on gas to get here. Okay then, well the Michael's website says their brick-and-mortar stores price match items shipped and sold by Amazon.com AND will beat the price by 10%. GREAT, I think! This is amazing and may be a reason for me to continue to shop here... but not so fast. I make it to the register and the young cashier automatically tells me that they do not price match. She speaks to her manager through a tiny microphone to ask about the situation. I present her evidence of the website stating they will do the price match and beat the price by 10%. After going back and forth for a bit, the manager finally gives in and tells the cashier to give me the pens for the $9.18. I make a small remark about the extra 10% off that the Michael's websites claim their brick-and-mortar stores will provide. The cashier does not even respond to that. As I leave, she apologizes because "we don't price match at all". Huh? So, at over 200% markup, y'all do not price match? Insane. Or should I reach out to corporate? Thinking that I will have to go up the chain with this issue as this store is problematic. Hopefully they all aren't like this. I won't be back, and I hope others read this review and listen carefully. It is YOUR money, and I cannot tell you what to do with it. But I suspect we ALL like saving money and not feeling like we've been absolutely cheated. And if you ask me, paying more than DOUBLE what an item costs online just to buy it in store is absolutely cheating the customer. Always compare prices online versus in store, people. And if you need the item today or would really like to have it this moment, check to see if the store in question does price matching. Otherwise, it won't hurt to wait for the 1- or 2-day shipping from Amazon. read more

I am really disappointed in Michaels.com. I ordered a Boa (Feather) that I needed to repair something, on 5/13/20. Supposed to be here 5/19/20. They charged me $6.00 in shipping, for this feather. It never arrived. Still says out for delivery. You click on "Contact Us" and it takes you nowhere. It's impossible to reach anyone. I miss AC Moore. Really good clearance wall, although they'd probably sell MORE if the stuff had prices on it. It's on clearance, great. How MUCH is it NOW? One of my clients at work requested that we get one of their medical puzzle pieces framed for their office. Because I do not trust myself to frame something of that importance, I came to Michael's and they did a fabulous job! John was very detailed oriented and took a lot of things into consideration that I wouldn't have thought of such as placing in hooks to hang the portraits. He also helped me carry out all the heavy frames back into my car. The customer service at Michael's was more than great. I would definitely come back and recommend to everyone to get their portraits and paintings framed here. read more

Although there sign in the window stated they would accept all competitors coupons they would NOT accept one I had from A.C Moore for 55% Off & only accepted coupons up to 50% when I asked why the Sign in the window did not state that NO REPLY WAS GIVEN.
