I came in today right at 10:00 am when they opened. There were a few employees working but had zero interaction with customers. I was looking for pellets to fill small stuffies that I'm making. I was able to find 2 bags in the clearance section. Yeah, at least the price was right! This is a pretty small store and they have zero fabric! I headed to a self checkout kiosk and my total was less than the reward credit I had earned from previous visits. I went to ask a salesgirl if the remaining credit amount will still show up on my account and she said that it would. And it did! She was busy blowing up balloons and barely even looked at me. My Michaels Framing Service Disaster Ruined a Cherished Family Memory This review is about the most disappointing experience we've had with Michaels in Frisco, Texas. We chose this store to frame a special family photo celebrating my husband's master's degree graduation. We trusted that with expensive materials and a service meant to last for generations, Michaels would become part of our story. Instead, they betrayed that trust. The photo was taken here in the United States, but the high-quality print was done professionally in Canada and arrived in perfect condition. We handed over the photo, believing Michaels would help us make this memory last forever. Instead, they damaged it and tried to hide their mistake. When my husband returned to the store, the framing manager wasn't there, so he was helped by the store manager. In an attempt to solve the problem, the store manager contacted the framing manager via text message. My husband, standing right there, saw the reply in all caps: "DO NOT give a refund. It was already damaged." Confronted with this blatant lie, my husband asked the store manager about the company's policy for photos that arrive damaged. The manager, in an honest moment, confirmed that Michaels should have called the customer to report any problems before starting the framing process. The fact that they didn't contact us proves our photo was delivered in perfect condition. As evidence of all this, we have a handwritten document from the store manager attesting to what happened. This serves as a reminder to all customers that no matter how emotionally valuable an item is, trust can be broken. Michaels did not create a memory for us; they destroyed it. read more

I went there on NOvember 16, 2023, hoping to find some 8x10 canvas panels, no deal. I'm not sure if staff were lazy to stock them or they just never re ordered. THere were other sizes in stock but not those. No other brand in stock, just theirs. The aisles are too crushed together with the holiday displays and I could hardly move through. The staff are unfriendly and don't offer help. Won't visit again. I'll try Amazon from now on. read more

Do NOT take anything that needs to be framed to the Michael's on El Dorado in Frisco. We were told by the manager that our posters would be ready in two weeks max. After three weeks we called about them and they hadn't even been framed. We were given one excuse after the other and then no one would return our calls. The manager who took our order kept promising they would be done, so we waited two more weeks and they still hadn't even started them. My husband finally went to the store and picked up our posters so that we could take them someplace else and didn't even get an apology from the manager for this fiasco. Dropped a picture off for framing. Told it would take 2 weeks and we can pick up on February 5th. Went there today, February 4th and they hadn't even started on it yet. No call, no text, no notification that it was not ready. I took my picture back, they refunded my money and I'll go somewhere else. This is not my favorite Michaels. The store has narrow aisles and it can be hard to get around when its busy which is often. The employees are friendly and they work hard to get you what you need and out the door. They understand the nature of the store and keep it clean and as clutter free as possible so when they are busy you can move as easily as possible. read more

Local resident of which typically just visits casually not needing assistance. Today went in to pick up a couple of frames for a recent achievement of completing my degree as well as a custom art piece. Went to the back to the framing dept for assistance of which a rep was already assisting a customer. I patiently waited for assistance for a few questions I had and possibly having both items framed. I mentioned I'd seen a document frame I was interested in online when asked if I had picked something. I was pointed down an aisle and after finding the frame and returning I was basically treated as if I was somehow an inconvenience. I was told I could just take it to the front to check out. For a business that's probably not that popular amongst other stores around you, you would think the customer service would be better. Missed out on the opportunity for a framing sale by treating a customer like crap. I live minutes from this location and have for over 7 years. Needless to say if I ever visit another location it most definitely will not be this one. read more

I was just at the El Dorado/Tollway location and everyone was so friendly. I had a question about price matching a paint set that I saw elsewhere for a lower price. The manager, Mandy (who is basically Mrs. Landingham from West Wing) was so funny and kind, and agreed to price match the item after I showed her the website. The younger people working at the store seemed really together, too; you can always tell when there's good management. I like the old lady on the cashier in eldorado branch :D she's so optimistic and funny :D she made my day :)) And the store is neat and well organized, it does'nt have lots of options when it comes to home decor, but it had enormous supplies for the crafts and hand made stuffs. read more

Craft event today was a free take and create. Cashier wouldn't give us the craft and said we should come back in a few hours because she thought it was from 2-4pm. The Michael's website says it's an all day event while supplies last though. The last few times we Shopped at this location the staff seem clueless about events and products they offer. This store is a good store. It kept pretty good stock of each items and the variety. Some things look like it got wiped out especially if it had the sale on it, but I expected that. The custom service here is good too. Overall my experience was good and I will be definitely returning. read more

BEWARE! I bought a Christmas tree online through Michaels on November 18th. It was suppose to have been shipped within a week. When I called to find out where it was, they said they canceled my order because they were out of stock. They should have called and notified me but they chose not to handle their business in a proper way. I had to find out by calling. read more
