So I haven't played magic since like 2014. So I'm pretty much new all over again. I told the guy…read morerunning the store that over the phone before coming out there, told him I was looking to get back into my old hobby again. He said he would help me put a deck together. I got there with somewhat of an idea of what I wanted but even 50% sure entirely because I haven't done much research. I wanted to lean on someone that knew what they were doing. We pulled a mono white and mono red deck. He didn't have exactly everything for either, which is ok. But I still wasn't 100%. I asked him if I could sit down and research some decks. Her said sure. I finally found a deck I thought I would enjoy and asked him if he had the cards. He then told me, "I've already pulled two decks for you, if I pull this one can you please purchase it". He pulls what he had and then I paid. I then asked for 4 more cards to add to the deck and he said, "Yeah but this is it because I got other customers". There was one other guy in the store and wasn't in a hurry. And he only came in at the end of the third deck Pull so it's not like he was waiting a long time. He later admitted to being frustrated but then told me there was no refunds. So I'm now out 200$ because that experience just turned me off of getting back into playing magic.

A good place to go browse for something cool…read more Now, I'll admit I'm a sucker for peddler's malls. They're usually nice places to go looking around, and this definitely is one such place. Like most peddler's malls (or as they used to be called, flea markets), they're a large space in an old shopping center (where the local Sears used to be) that's been converted into a display space for many businesses different booths by local people selling various things. It's a big, motley mix of things. Vintage clothing. Furniture. Home decor. DVD's and old paperback books. Toys. Small appliances. Jams, jellies, and preserves made by the Amish or other local small businesses. It's definitely worth browsing around to see if they have anything you might like.
