This Joann's is a bit off the beaten path, kind of behind some other stores in an old shopping center. It has a huge parking lot and there's always tons of parking. The store itself is feels old and it's sort of crowded. And compared to other locations, their stock isn't nearly as expansive. I crochet, and I would say that their yarn stock is easily a quarter of the size of other Joann's locations. But, I've been able to find things there that I need. The staff are friendly and always eager to help me get the most of all of my digital and physical coupons.

It is located right in the middle of Old Town Berea and is truly a gem. The store is super cute and the owner, Becky, even has a complimentary candy basket out for her customers. Then an appointment brought me to Frankfort so I decided to check out the Frankfort Store. The night before my trip to Frankfort I checked out Joann.com and found I could search for particular key words and see the fabric selections. Wow, I plunked in "Moose" and found the cutest fleece fabric to make a blanket for my grandson. I was able to check how many yards were available in the Frankfort store. Perfect! Then I browsed on-line for fabric that I could use to make bathroom curtains. Then I checked out fabric needed for Halloween costumes. And the list goes on & on. I printed up a variety of coupons for Jo-Ann's to bring with me. The next day I arrived at Jo-Ann's with my list of materials and quantities needed of each. I also brought my tablet in my purse in case I needed to pull up the specific fabric I was looking for. No need. One by one I spotted each fabric. Both the manager and the sales girl were very nice about climbing ladders to get the bolts down off a top shelf. When it came time to measure and cut the fabric I had both of them working on my large order. Because I was organized this process went really smooth. At check out I handed the manager my printed sheet of coupons. She scanned each bar code before ringing up the order and said the computer would figure out the rest. I was very pleased with the whole process and will be back in the future. The store isn't huge but it has a nice variety of fabrics, notions, patterns and crafts.

I am a flight attendant and purchased fabric at this location in anticipation of a trip to Shanghai…read morethat I was scheduled on. I was having two small shirts made but I told the staff I wanted enough material for two MEDIUM shirts so I could make sure I had enough. Fly over there and the tailor says I barely have enough material for one shirt much less two. When I return to Jo-Ann's they admitted that the person who helped me isn't any good but offered me nothing. The staff at this location are not well versed in their trade or in customer service. It's worth the drive to Lexington to avoid this place.

I was helping a disabled family member shop for some fabric for a project and they were helpful in regard to their mobility and my ignorance of the language of fabric shopping. Upholstery? I'm not sure. I was dumb and they were nice about it. They were helpful. There aren't a lot of options for fabric shopping compared to when we had a pro-business President but this is where we are, there are less stores with less stuff than 2016. We have to make do and this place will do that for you.

Female cashier yells yes. I respond it's not 9pm yet. She yelled we're closed. I run a candle business and I will never patron this Joanns location ever again!!!

I called (11am) on my way to pick up my machine from a schedule maintenance to give my eta, since I…read morelive 1.5 hours away. William answered and told me he didn't have my machine ready. He said he didn't know the arrangement that his mom made. He said to give him a couple of hours and he would have it done (1pm). I reminded him of the list of issues I needed addressed that I typed out and gave to Sandy. He said he would look for it. Approximately 3 hours later (at 2:30pm), I arrived to pick up my machine. He said it wasn't done, but that I could take it. I reminded him that: * I live far away * I couldn't return for several more days * I couldn't leave my laptop * And at the time of dropping off my machine, I was assured that 1 week was more than enough time to see about/repair any issues my machine was having He started yelling at me that his mom was sick today and he couldn't do it all. He was yelling, waving his arms around, stomping off and slamming stuff. He continued yelling at me in front of the customers in the store. When I got my machine in my hands, he said to "just get out and I'll do it for free just leave!" I was unable to have a calm conversation with him or was he willing to come to a solution. He continued yelling, "MY MOM IS SICK TODAY". Now I have to pay someone else for my Free First Cleaning/Maintenance on a machine I bought there 6 months prior. I left the store visibly upset. The verbal abuse was intense A customer was lost.

Just had my first beginner's sewing lesson with Willa and I love her! She was so kind and patient with me. And the pillow case I made in the class is TOP TIER. LOL! I loved the atmosphere and the light nature of the store. Both Willa and Sandy are helping this be an amazing experience and I'm grateful.

Went to look at frames during a buy one get one sale and since when are frames at Michael's twice what you'd pay for them anywhere else?!? I swear they were all marked up for the sale! Just, was really not impressed with their layout or prices. I'm used to walking in to a Michael's and wanting to explore for hours.. this one left me feeling completely uninspired!
